The BISP office in Rawalpindi is the North Zone office at Gulraiz I, Chakala, phone 051-9330612 or 051-9330611. Rawalpindi district also has six BISP tehsil offices, in Gujar Khan, Kahuta, Kallar Syedan, Kotli Sattian, Murree and Taxila. Below them is the full north Punjab list: 44 more offices from Attock and Chakwal to Sargodha, Sialkot and Mianwali.

BISP runs the north of Punjab from Chakala, close to the Islamabad border. We read BISP's regional office list on 24 October 2026 and copied every north Punjab row, minus the officers' names, which change more often than the buildings do.

Rawalpindi has one zonal office and six tehsil offices

BISP lists seven offices in Rawalpindi district. The zonal office in Chakala is the only one in the city itself; the six tehsil offices sit in the outer tehsils. All seven have a landline on BISP's list.

BISP's list shows no Rawalpindi City or Rawalpindi Cantt tehsil office, so city residents are left with the Chakala office. That is also the nearest listed office for most of Islamabad, because the list names no tehsil office inside the capital. Call 0800-26477 to confirm which office covers your sector before you travel.

Several rows on BISP's page say "seat vacant" against the officer, including Choa Saidan Shah, Piplan, Pasrur and Zafarwal. The office still exists, but a vacant post can mean slower answers. The Bhera office in Sargodha has no number listed.

Go to the tehsil office for a survey, a complaint or a Benazir SIM

BISP's Kafaalat page says a Benazir registration centre runs in every tehsil office, and that complaints go to the nearest tehsil office or the helpline 0800-26477. The office also hands over the free Benazir SIM and takes next of kin claims.

  • A new or updated survey if the 8171 reply says you are not eligible and your household has become poorer. The survey decides everything, because the BISP cut-off score is 32, or 37 with a disabled member.
  • A complaint about a missing payment, a wrong deduction or a blocked wallet.
  • The Benazir SIM, which BISP says is free and must come only from the designated BISP office.
  • A next of kin case after a beneficiary's death.
  • Hunarmand registration for skills training, for one family member with at least matric.

Murree, Kotli Sattian and Kahuta are hill tehsils where a trip can take half a day. In such places it is worth calling first. If your area is far from any office, ask about the BISP mobile registration van that does the survey on the spot.

Main BISP district office numbers in north Punjab: Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Sialkot

Bring the original CNIC and the phone you use for BISP

No form is needed for the BISP survey, and BISP charges nothing for any service. The woman whose name is on the record should go herself with her original CNIC and the phone that carries her Benazir SIM or registered number.

  1. Run your CNIC through the 8171 web portal and note the reply word for word.
  2. Pick your tehsil office from the tables and call the listed number to check it is open.
  3. Carry the original CNIC; photocopies are not enough for biometric checks.
  4. For a death case, add the deceased's CNIC, the NADRA cancellation certificate, the death certificate and family members' CNICs.
  5. Ask for a complaint number or token, and keep it with the 8171 messages on your phone.
Five steps before visiting a BISP tehsil office in north Punjab

BISP takes no money for its survey, its SIM or its forms

On 25 August 2026 BISP's chairperson said the Benazir SIM is free, there is no form for the survey, and no fee for any scheme or service. Never hand your phone or SIM to anyone at the office gate.

People waiting outside offices are a common target for touts who promise a faster survey for a fee. That promise is false. Also keep the SMS BISP sends when money is credited, because it shows the exact amount if an agent cuts your BISP payment later.

If the office line rings out, there are three other routes

We did not call these numbers, and some landlines go unanswered. The BISP helpline 0800-26477 is toll free. You can also complain online through the Citizen Portal or at the chairperson's live E-Katcheri.

The chairperson's live BISP E-Katcheri takes cases from beneficiaries across the country. And if a payment agent turns you away, remember that since June 2026 any of the six partner institutions' agents can pay you, so you do not need to wait at a BISP office for cash.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read BISP's Regional Offices Contact Numbers page on 24 October 2026 and copied the North Zone Punjab rows as published, merging the three duplicate zonal office rows and fixing small spelling slips. We also read BISP's Kafaalat page, its press releases of 18 June, 30 June and 25 August 2026, the September 2026 newsletter, the Hunarmand portal and the 8171 portal that day. The list has no date, so we could not confirm how recent it is. We did not call the numbers, and BISP does not publish office hours.
