OPF Reserved Seats for Overseas Pakistanis' Children: 308 Seats at 17 Institutions in Pakistan
OPF lists 308 reserved seats at 17 institutions for children of overseas Pakistanis. See the full table, who can apply and what to check before you apply.

The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) lists 308 reserved seats for children of overseas Pakistanis at 17 institutions in Pakistan, and 280 of them sit in three Punjab universities. Any child of an OPF registered overseas Pakistani can apply, but each seat belongs to one institution, so you apply there and not through OPF.
A seat in a good university is a big deal when the family lives in Riyadh or Dubai and the child will study at home. We read OPF's reserved seats page on 21 October 2026 and added up every row. The table has no date on it, so check each institution's current admission notice before you plan around a number.
OPF reserves 308 seats at 17 institutions, mostly in Punjab
The OPF table lists 17 institutions and a total of 308 seats. Three Punjab universities hold 280 of them, which is 91 per cent. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa colleges hold 11, Islamabad colleges 9 numbered seats plus three 2 per cent quotas, and the rest are single seats.

Six Islamabad colleges give single seats or a 2 per cent quota
Islamabad has six institutions on the list. Three give single seats in named programmes, and three give a 2 per cent quota. The first three add 9 numbered seats to the total, while the quotas depend on how many places each programme has.
- Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Commerce, H-8/4: one seat each in BS Accounts and Finance, BS Commerce and BS Business Administration.
- Islamabad Model College for Girls (Postgraduate), G-10/4: one seat each in BS Computer Science, BS Zoology and BS Mathematics.
- Islamabad Model Commerce College for Girls, F-10/3: one seat each in BS Accounts and Finance, BS Commerce and ADP Commerce.
- Islamabad Model College for Boys, F-10/4: a 2 per cent quota in ADP and BS English and ADP and BS Urdu.
- Islamabad Model College for Girls, Humak, and Islamabad Model College for Girls, I-8/3: a 2 per cent quota each in ADP Arts.
The total of 308 includes five seats for overseas Kashmiris
We added the numbered seats ourselves. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gives 11, Punjab 280, Gujrat 1, Cadet College Plandri 7 and Islamabad 9. That is 308. The Plandri figure counts five seats meant for overseas Kashmiris, so only 303 are for the general overseas Pakistani category.
The percentage quotas are not in that sum. OPF's own page gives the total as 308, and our addition matches it only when the five Kashmiri seats are included. Keep that in mind if you compare it with a figure quoted elsewhere.

Check five things before you apply for a reserved seat
OPF says children of all OPF registered overseas Pakistanis can apply. So first confirm the parent is registered, then check the institution's own deadline, then read its rules on domicile and merit. Several KP medical seats say KP domicile only.
- Get the OPF membership. The steps are in how to get an OPF membership card.
- Open the admission notice of the institution you want and find its closing date. OPF does not run these admissions.
- Check the seat rule in the table above, for example KP domicile only.
- Keep the parent's overseas proof ready, because the institution will ask how the child qualifies.
- Apply to the institution, and tell OPF if the seat is refused without a reason. OPF has a complaint cell, and its number and WhatsApp route are in how to lodge a complaint with the OPF complaint cell.

Medical seats are separate and the rules differ by province
The OPF table lists a few KP medical and dental seats, but it does not describe the quota at other medical colleges. For Khyber Medical University seats, see the separate page on KMU seats for children of overseas Pakistanis.
OPF also says it will keep asking HEC, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council and vice chancellors for more seats. It also names LUMS, GIKI and COMSATS as places where it wants concessional quotas. The page does not say those have been agreed, so do not plan on them.
Common questions
How many seats does OPF reserve for children of overseas Pakistanis?
OPF's page gives 308 seats at 17 institutions. Our addition of the numbered seats also reaches 308, and that includes five seats for overseas Kashmiris at Cadet College Plandri.
Do I apply for these seats through OPF?
No. The seats sit inside each institution. You apply to the university or college, using its own form and deadline, and show that the parent is an OPF registered overseas Pakistani.
Which university has the most reserved seats?
The University of Education, Lahore, has 133. Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan has 125. The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, has 22 under its degree programme.
Are the KP medical seats open to children from any province?
No. OPF marks the Ayub Medical College, Khyber Medical College, Khyber College of Dentistry, Ayub Dental Section and Bacha Khan Dental Section seats as KP domicile only.
Is the table up to date for the next admission cycle?
We could not confirm it. The OPF page carries no date, so read the current admission notice of each institution and ask OPF on its helpline before you rely on a seat number.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read OPF's reserved seats page in full on 21 October 2026 and added up its table. We did not open the admission notices of the 17 institutions, and we could not confirm that the table is current for the next cycle or how each institution picks the candidate for a seat.
