Check the Petrol Price at Your Pump in Pakistan on OGRA's Pump List
OGRA lists the petrol and diesel price for named pumps across Pakistan. Find your station's rate in five steps, see why it differs and complain if overcharged.

OGRA publishes the exact petrol and diesel price for named petrol pumps across Pakistan, company by company. Go to ogra.org.pk, open Prices, then District / Pump Wise Oil Prices, pick the brand on the forecourt and open its latest PDF. Search it for your pump's name or district.
The headline price is not always the pump price. On 9 October 2026 the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) set petrol at Rs 398.96 a litre. Yet the most common price on PSO's own pump list that day was Rs 400.43. We opened the lists for four oil companies to see why, and how a driver can check the legal rate at one particular station.
OGRA lists a price for each pump, not just one national rate
OGRA's daily sheet gives one reference price for petrol and diesel. The pump-wise lists then give each station's own selling price, which adds the cost of carrying fuel from the depot to that pump. Check the list for your station, not the headline.
OGRA's daily price sheet says plainly that its total is "excl. Secondary Freight". Secondary freight is the cost of moving fuel by tanker from an oil company's depot to a single pump. A station next to a depot pays little. A station high in the hills pays more. That is why two honest pumps can charge different prices on the same day.
Today's headline figure, and how it was built, is in the petrol price for 10 October 2026. The pump lists sit one level below it.

Five steps find your pump's price in about two minutes
Open OGRA's website, go to the pump-wise prices page, choose the oil company, open the newest PDF and search it. You need the brand name and the town. A phone browser can do it, though a laptop is easier for the long files.
- Open OGRA's District / Pump Wise Oil Prices page. You can also reach it from the Prices menu on ogra.org.pk.
- Find the oil company whose brand is on the pump, such as Pakistan State Oil, Attock Petroleum, Wafi Energy (formerly Shell), Hascol, Total Parco (now Parco Gunver) or GO (Gas & Oil Pakistan). Click its name to open its list of files.
- Open the top file, titled "Prices Effective Dated" with a date. Check that date. It should be today or the most recent price day.
- Press Ctrl+F on a computer, or use "Find in page" on a phone. Type the pump's name, the town or the district.
- Read the petrol column (marked MS or Premier) and the diesel column (marked HSD or Hi-Cetane). That figure, per litre, is the price the company has filed for that station.
The files are large. PSO's list for 9 October ran to 36 pages. Searching by district is usually faster than scrolling.
Most pumps charged Rs 1.47 over OGRA's headline on 9 October
On 9 October, Rs 400.43 was the commonest petrol price on the PSO, Hascol and Wafi lists, Rs 1.47 above OGRA's Rs 398.96. Diesel showed the same gap, Rs 397.19 against Rs 395.72. Remote stations charged more, up to about Rs 15 over.

| List we opened | Date | What we found for petrol |
|---|---|---|
| OGRA reference price | 9 October 2026 | Rs 398.96 a litre, before secondary freight |
| Pakistan State Oil | 9 October 2026 | 958 entries at Rs 400.43, 194 at Rs 398.96, highest Rs 413.94 |
| Hascol Petroleum | 9 October 2026 | 102 entries at Rs 400.43, 19 at Rs 398.96 |
| Wafi Energy | 9 October 2026 | 204 entries at Rs 400.43, 28 at Rs 398.96 |
| HG Petro Marketing | 8 October 2026 | Rs 398.16 to Rs 401.95, against OGRA's Rs 396.65 |
The PSO list held about 3,700 petrol prices. We counted 64 at Rs 405 or more. The highest, Rs 413.94, belonged to a PSO station in Mansehra district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, supplied from the Faqirabad depot.
The lists do not explain each station's extra amount line by line. So treat the list as the figure to compare against, not as a breakdown. And note that the list's date matters. On 10 October OGRA's headline fell to Rs 398.30, so pump prices for that day will differ from the 9 October lists above.
A higher price than the list is worth a written complaint
If the pump charged more than its own company filed for that date, keep the receipt, photograph the dispenser and complain to OGRA online and to the oil company. A receipt showing a higher rate is the strongest proof you can have.
- OGRA: use the regulator's online complaint form, then follow it on the complaint tracking page.
- The oil company: call the number printed on the forecourt or receipt the same day, and ask for a complaint reference.
- Your district: price magistrates also act on overcharging. In Punjab that route is in reporting overcharging in Punjab, and in Sindh the 1299 line.
What to capture before you leave, and what OGRA can and cannot do, is set out in how to complain about a petrol pump. Do not argue at the dispenser. Take the paperwork and complain in writing.
Three things make the check go wrong
An old file, the wrong brand or a pump missing from the list will mislead you. Match the date to the day you filled up, match the brand to the canopy, and if the station is missing, ask the company before you assume anything.
First, the date. Companies do not all upload at the same pace. When we checked on the evening of 10 October, most of the 40 companies had a list for 8 or 9 October. One company's newest file was dated 29 September. A stale list will not match today's price, so do not complain on the strength of it.
Second, the brand. Some companies have changed names. Shell Pakistan now appears as Wafi Energy, and Total Parco as Parco Gunver. Search under the new name.
Third, the layout. Each company uses its own format. A few PDFs scramble columns when read on a phone, so the address beside a price may belong to the next row. Check the station name and the price on the same line before you rely on it.
Common questions
Why is the pump price higher than the OGRA price?
OGRA's headline price leaves out secondary freight, the cost of moving fuel from depot to pump. Each oil company files a station-level price that includes it.
Where is OGRA's pump-wise price list?
On ogra.org.pk, under Prices, then District / Pump Wise Oil Prices. Each oil company has its own folder of dated PDFs.
How much more can a pump legally charge?
OGRA does not publish one fixed cap for every station. The legal figure is the price the company filed for that pump on that date, which the list shows.
What if my pump is not on the list?
Check the spelling and search by district instead. If it is still missing, ask the oil company's helpline which price applies before filing a complaint.
Is the 9771 relief applied to the pump price?
The official relief portal says the Rs 100 a litre discount applies to the price on the day you use the token. Rules and the SMS format are in how to get petrol relief with code 9771.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 10 October 2026, about 7pm PKT. We opened OGRA's District / Pump Wise Oil Prices page and counted 40 oil companies with their newest file dates. We downloaded and read the lists for Pakistan State Oil, Hascol and Wafi Energy effective 9 October 2026, and HG Petro Marketing effective 8 October 2026, and counted the price entries ourselves. The reference prices and the words "excl. Secondary Freight" are from OGRA's daily price sheets for 8, 9 and 10 October 2026 on its price publications page. Counts can shift slightly because some PDFs break their columns when converted to text.
