Cursor Price in Pakistan: Free, Plus $8 or Premium $30 in Rupees, and Which Models Each Plan Gets
Cursor now costs $0, $8 or $30 a month in Pakistan through the X Subscription. See each plan in rupees, which models it runs, student options and how to pay.

Cursor, the AI code editor, now sells its plans through the X Subscription: Free at $0, Plus at $8 a month (about Rs 2,214) with Grok models only, and Premium at $30 (about Rs 8,303), the first plan that lets you use other companies' models, billed extra at API prices. Super costs $100 and Ultra $200. Cursor's pricing page no longer lists a separate Cursor Pro plan, and there is no standing student discount.
For Pakistani developers and computer science students, the plan you pick decides which models you can run, not only how much you can run. We read Cursor's pricing page and student page, and the X Subscription announcement, on 31 October 2026. Below is each plan in rupees, which models it gets, and the cheapest way to start.
Cursor plans in Pakistan run from free to $200 a month
All Cursor plans now share one usage pool with Grok, the chatbot from the same company. Plus is the entry paid plan. Premium gives four times the usage of Plus and adds cloud agents, code hosting and AI code reviews. Super and Ultra raise the usage to 15 and 50 times Plus.
| Plan | Price a month | About in rupees | Usage | Models |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Rs 0 | Limited agent and chat requests | Not stated |
| Plus | $8 | Rs 2,214 | Base shared pool | Grok models only |
| Premium | $30 | Rs 8,303 | 4 times Plus | Grok, plus others at API price |
| Super | $100 | Rs 27,675 | 15 times Plus | Same, priority at peak times |
| Ultra | $200 | Rs 55,350 | 50 times Plus | Same, earliest access |

Rupee amounts are our arithmetic at the State Bank's mark to market rate of Rs 276.7522 to the dollar on 30 October 2026, rounded. Cursor's prices exclude tax, and your bank adds its own margin.
Plus gets Grok models only, Premium opens other models
This is the catch for anyone moving from the old Cursor Pro. Cursor's FAQ says Plus includes Grok models only. Premium and above include generous Grok usage, but no allowance for third-party models. Those other models remain available in Cursor at API list price, so you pay for exactly what you use.
In practice, a student on Plus works only with Grok models. A freelancer who prefers another company's model needs Premium and should expect a separate bill for that model on top of $30. Cursor says you can set spending caps, which is worth doing before you start.
- Free: limited agent and chat requests, good for a trial week.
- Plus: the cheapest paid plan, Grok models only, with the X checkmark and Grok chat thrown in.
- Premium: cloud agents and automations, code hosting through Origin, AI code reviews through Bugbot.
- Teams: from $30 per user, with central billing and admin controls.
Students get no fixed discount, only event promotions
Cursor's student page says anyone can start for free. To get more access, it tells students to look out for promotions at on-campus and online events. There is no permanent student plan, and no university email offer listed on the page.
Students who want a free paid tier have a better option elsewhere. GitHub gives verified students its Copilot coding assistant at no cost, and the steps are in GitHub Copilot free for students in Pakistan. Google's agent coding tool is also worth a look, covered in Google Antigravity free download.

How to start Cursor and pay from Pakistan
Cursor's FAQ says self-serve plans accept all major credit and debit cards. Invoice and wire transfer are for Enterprise only. JazzCash, Easypaisa and mobile balance are not listed.
- Download Cursor from cursor.com and sign up on the free plan first.
- Use it on a real project for a week to see if the free limits are enough.
- Turn on international online payments for your card in your bank app.
- Upgrade from the pricing page and confirm the dollar price before paying.
- On Premium, set a spending cap for third-party models straight away.
- Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal if you want only one month.

Card payments abroad carry a tax and count towards a yearly limit. Read tax on card payments abroad in Pakistan before you subscribe, so the rupee charge on your statement is not a surprise.
Turn on privacy mode for client code
If you work on client projects from Upwork or Fiverr, check your data settings first. Cursor's FAQ says that when privacy mode is on, code data is not used for training by Cursor or its model providers. A team admin can also switch it on for everyone.
Cursor's FAQ also says plans are sold only through X Subscription Corp, with no authorised resellers. Shared "Cursor Pro" logins sold cheaply online can be suspended at any time, and anyone holding the login can see your code. Freelancers who write proposals with AI can also use GPT-6 prompts for Upwork and Fiverr, which need no Cursor plan at all.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Cursor's pricing page and FAQ, its student page, the X Subscription announcement and the State Bank's mark to market rate sheet for 30 October 2026. Rupee amounts are our arithmetic before tax and bank charges. We did not buy a plan or measure how many requests each tier allows, because Cursor publishes usage as multiples, not fixed numbers.
