Freelancers in Pakistan can use GPT-6 to write sharper Upwork proposals, Fiverr gig descriptions and client replies, if every prompt carries the client's job post and your real experience. Copy the five prompts below. They run on GPT-6 Luna for free and on GPT-6 Sol with Plus.

A proposal that says "I am an expert, hire me" gets ignored. A proposal that answers the client's three questions gets a reply. The prompts here push ChatGPT toward the second kind, using only facts you give it.

We read OpenAI's release notes and pricing page on 22 October 2026 for the model and plan facts. We did not send these proposals to real clients, so we cannot promise a win rate. Pakistani freelancers earned a reported US$197 million in September 2026, according to the central bank, so the market is large and the competition is real: see the State Bank figure for September.

Give ChatGPT the job post and your real experience

The direct rule is simple: paste the client's job post and three honest facts about you. GPT-6 then writes a reply that fits the job. If you give no facts, it invents them, and a made-up claim in a proposal can cost you the contract.

You are helping me write an Upwork proposal. Below is the job post and my real background. Write a proposal under 150 words. Open with the client's problem, not with me. Mention only the experience I list. Do not invent clients, numbers or tools. End with one question about their project.

JOB POST:
[paste]

MY BACKGROUND:
- 3 years in WordPress, 40 sites built
- Based in Lahore, available 6 hours a day
- Portfolio: [link]

It fails when your background list is thin. Add specifics, such as the number of projects, and the proposal improves. Always read the result and delete any line that is not true.

Write a Fiverr gig description from your service, not from a template

A gig description should say who the service is for, what the buyer gets and what they must send you. GPT-6 can draft that in one go, and you then cut anything you cannot deliver.

Write a Fiverr gig description for my service: [logo design for small shops]. Buyers are small business owners in Pakistan and the Gulf. Use simple English. Include: what the buyer gets, what I need from them, turnaround in days, and 3 questions I should ask before I start. Do not promise unlimited revisions.

Ask for three versions with different tones, then pick one. Keep your own turnaround time honest. If Fiverr is unavailable on your connection, our note on Fiverr in Pakistan explains the position.

Reply to clients and handle a difficult message

When a client is angry or vague, a calm reply is hard to write at midnight. Ask GPT-6 for a draft that stays polite, states facts and proposes a next step. You send it only after you edit it.

The client wrote: "[paste message]". I delivered the files on [date] as agreed. Write a polite reply under 100 words that thanks them, states what was delivered and when, and offers one fix or a call. Do not admit fault I have not agreed to.
  1. Paste the client's message and the facts.
  2. Ask for a reply under 100 words.
  3. Delete any promise you did not make.
  4. Check names, dates and amounts.
  5. Send it from your own account.

Work out a price quote, then check the sum yourself

GPT-6 is good at laying out a quote in a table. It can still slip on arithmetic, so redo the total with a calculator. This matters most when you add platform fees, tax or currency changes.

I will work 25 hours on this project at US$12 an hour. Make a quote table with hours, rate and total. Add a line for a 10 percent buffer. Show the working so I can check it.

That prompt uses sample numbers, not a recommended rate. Platform fees change, so read the current ones in Upwork fees in Pakistan, and plan how you will be paid with withdrawing Fiverr earnings.

Keep client files and private data out of the chat

Never paste a client's confidential files, passwords, bank details or your own CNIC. Many client contracts forbid sharing their material with outside tools. Read your contract first, and use temporary chat or the data controls if you handle sensitive work.

Also be honest with clients. Some platforms and clients have rules about AI-written work. If a client asks for no AI, follow that. Our guide to stopping training on your chats is in ChatGPT data controls and Temporary Chat.

Common questions

Can I use GPT-6 free for freelancing in Pakistan?

Yes. Free and Go accounts get GPT-6 Luna in the Chat tab as the rollout reaches them, per OpenAI's release notes of 7 October 2026.

Is it allowed to use ChatGPT for Upwork proposals?

We did not find a rule we could cite, so read Upwork's current terms. The proposal still has to be true and be yours.

Which plan do I need for freelancing?

Free is enough to start. Plus ($20 a month, as OpenAI lists it) gives GPT-6 Sol, which helps with longer documents.

Will ChatGPT write a good portfolio?

It can structure one. The work samples must be your own.

Can ChatGPT do my tax return?

It can explain terms, but check figures with FBR's own pages. Our guide to freelancer tax returns is the place to start.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 22 October 2026. Model and plan details come from OpenAI's ChatGPT release notes and pricing page. The prompts are our own and were not tested with real clients. The US$12 rate in the quote prompt is a sample number. We did not verify Upwork or Fiverr policy on AI use in this piece.
