FBISE Matric 2nd Annual 2026 Date Sheet: Papers Until 24 October
FBISE SSC 2nd Annual 2026 runs 24 September to 24 October at 2:30 pm. Paper dates, codes, the roll number slip, the Rs 2,700 fee and when results come out.
The FBISE Matric (SSC) 2nd Annual Examination 2026 runs from Thursday 24 September to Saturday 24 October 2026, in an evening session from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Report by 2:00 pm. Roll number slips are online on the FBISE slips portal, and the admission forms closed on 25 August.
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) in Islamabad runs Matric for federal schools, cantonment and garrison schools, many private schools across Pakistan and schools abroad. Its 2nd annual exam is the supplementary sitting for candidates who failed, missed or want to improve a paper.
We read the FBISE date sheet dated 1 September 2026 and the fee notification dated 29 July 2026 on 30 September 2026. Every date below comes from those two notices. Punjab's boards run a separate exam on their own dates.
FBISE Matric 2nd Annual 2026 dates at a glance
Theory papers run from 24 September to 24 October 2026, six days a week, with Sundays closed. Practical based assessment (PBA) papers fall inside that window. Practicals for other subjects start on Tuesday 27 October 2026.

Some papers are shorter or longer than three hours. Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies and Translation of the Holy Quran are 2.5 hours. Computer Science I and II for HIC candidates are 1.5 hours. The PBA practical papers for failure and improvement candidates are 45 minutes, and full PBA practicals are 2 hours.
Main compulsory paper dates in the FBISE date sheet
English II is on 28 September, Urdu I on 1 October, English I on 5 October, Urdu II on 16 October and Pakistan Studies I on 15 October. Check your own paper code, because the old course and the new pattern papers carry different codes on the same day.

For science students, Physics I is on 8 October, Chemistry I on 29 September and Biology I or Computer Science I on 25 September. Physics II was on 26 September, Chemistry II on 24 September and Biology II or Computer Science II falls on 6 October. The full sheet lists every elective, including Home Economics, Arabic, Economics and the religious studies papers for minorities on 15 October.
How to download the FBISE roll number slip
FBISE does not post roll number slips to anyone. You download the slip yourself from its slips portal and print it before your first paper. Private candidates print their own, and schools print slips for their regular students.
- Open the FBISE slips portal at portal.fbise.edu.pk.
- Choose the SSC 2nd Annual Examination 2026 slip.
- Enter the search details the portal asks for, exactly as on your admission form.
- Check your subjects, paper codes and centre on the slip.
- Print it and carry it to every paper, with no phone or smart watch.
If a subject is missing from your slip, contact FBISE before that paper, not on the day. The fee notification says subject or group changes are not allowed after the online form was submitted, so a missing subject is usually a form problem, and it needs the board's test administration branch at 051-9269510.
Mobile phones and smart watches are "strictly prohibited" in the centre, the date sheet says. Leave them at home or with someone outside.
Who could sit and what it cost
The 2nd annual exam is for registered candidates who failed, were absent, had forms cancelled, or want to improve their marks. Fresh candidates were also allowed this year. The fee was Rs 2,700 a part for registered candidates, and forms closed on 25 August with a triple fee.

The normal fee was Rs 2,700 for SSC I and Rs 2,700 for SSC II for regular, ex-registered, private, IBCC, additional subject and improvement candidates. Candidates not registered with FBISE, from other boards or IBCC cases, paid Rs 4,400, which includes a one-time Rs 1,700 registration fee. Fees were paid only through a system-generated challan at HBL or MCB, or through Easypaisa or JazzCash.
Two rules catch people out. A candidate sitting any failed or improvement paper of a part pays the full fee for that part. And a form cannot be cancelled within 10 days of the exam starting, while cancelling earlier costs Rs 2,000.

FBISE and Punjab boards run separate supplementary exams
FBISE and the nine Punjab boards are separate. A student of BISE Lahore, Rawalpindi or any other Punjab board sits the Punjab 2nd annual exam, not this one. The two date sheets and fees differ, so use your own board's notice.
The Punjab boards set their own Matric 2nd annual exam dates and fee. FBISE has not announced a result date for this SSC sitting in the notices we read. Its SSC 2nd annual result for 2025 was published on result.fbise.edu.pk, and that is where to look once the board announces it. The board results online list covers every other board.
