Check the FBISE Sports Calendar 2026-27: Girls and Boys Tournaments by Month
Read the FBISE Sports Calendar 2026-27: girls and boys events for colleges and directorate schools, sport by month from October to February, and who to call.

Short answer: The FBISE Sports Calendar 2026-27 lists four tournament sets, for girls and boys at inter-collegiate and inter-directorate (schools) level. October 2026 has athletics, hockey and table tennis in all four. The calendar gives months only, not exact dates or grounds. The annual prize ceremony is planned for March 2027.
Most families look at FBISE for results and date sheets. Few notice that the board also runs a yearly sports season. If your child plays hockey, squash or netball for a federal school or college, the months matter, because trials come first.
We downloaded the FBISE Sports Calendar 2026-27 on 14 October 2026 and read it line by line. It is a one-page notice from the board's physical education office. Inter-collegiate means college against college. Inter-directorate means school teams from the education directorates that FBISE serves.
Four tournament sets run in 2026-27
The calendar splits the season into girls and boys, and then into colleges and directorate schools. That gives four sets. Each set runs across three windows: October 2026, November to December 2026, and January to February 2027.

The calendar's own headings tell you which set is which. Inter-collegiate means college teams. Inter-directorate means school teams under the directorates that FBISE serves. A parent should first work out which of the four sets their child's team belongs to, because the sports and months differ between them.
Plan backwards from these windows. A sport in October needs a team picked in September or earlier, so ask your coach now if your sport is already in the first window.
October 2026 is the busiest start
Athletics, hockey and table tennis appear in October for all four sets. Girls colleges also list cricket that month, and boys colleges list squash. If your sport is on this list, speak to your principal this week, because the window is already open.

Hockey and athletics need the most players and the longest training. A school that wants to enter both should start fitness work early and keep a reserve list.
The calendar does not say which day in October each event happens. Treat the month as a rough guide. Ask the board's physical education office for dates, and ask whether trials are held at the institution first.
November to February adds the winter sports
November and December bring badminton, volleyball, lawn tennis, football and cricket, depending on the set. January and February add basketball and netball, plus volleyball and lawn tennis for boys colleges. Use the table to find your sport and set.
| Set | October 2026 | Nov to Dec 2026 | Jan to Feb 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Girls, colleges | Athletics, hockey, cricket, table tennis | Badminton, lawn tennis, volleyball | Basketball, netball |
| Girls, directorate schools | Hockey, athletics, table tennis | Volleyball, badminton | Basketball, netball |
| Boys, colleges | Table tennis, athletics, hockey, squash | Football, badminton, cricket | Basketball, lawn tennis, volleyball |
| Boys, directorate schools | Table tennis, athletics, hockey | Badminton, cricket, football | Volleyball, basketball |
The two sides do not run in step. Cricket is in October for girls colleges, but in November and December for both boys sets. Boys football is in November and December, and squash for boys colleges is in October only. Coaches who assume both sides follow the same plan can miss a window.
We read these rows from the PDF text. If a sport looks missing from your set, check the original sheet on the FBISE website before you tell a team it is not included.
Inter-board events and the prize ceremony follow later
The calendar adds three side items. A committee meeting was planned for the last week of September 2026. Inter-board events for boys and girls follow the schedule of the Inter Board Sports Committee. The annual sports prize distribution ceremony is planned for March 2027.
That second line matters if your child wins at FBISE level. Those events follow the committee's own schedule, so keep your result letters safe. A student who wants a university place on sports merit can also read how to get a sports quota seat at Punjab University or how to get sports quota admission at Quaid-i-Azam University. Certificates are usually the first thing those panels ask for.
Athletes who want a path beyond school can also find the national sports federation for their game and ask about junior trials.
