FPSC Advertisement 4/2026 has 47 posts for doctors and nurses: 25 Demonstrators at Federal Medical College, 10 Nurses at AFIRM Rawalpindi, 8 PIMS professors and 4 Civilian Medical Practitioners. Apply online by 23 November 2026. Fees run from Rs 600 to Rs 3,000.
The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) dated this advertisement 6 November 2026. We read the 23-page scan on 7 November and pulled out the clinical and teaching posts into one place. Five cases count here. Each has its own quota, so the same MBBS degree can open one door and not another.
Fresh MBBS graduates should look first at the Demonstrator post. It asks for an MBBS and PM&DC registration, with no experience line at all. The two PIMS posts are the opposite, with long teaching and research requirements.
Five FPSC health cases add up to 47 seats
The five cases range from BS-16 to BS-20. Your fee depends on the grade, and your place of posting depends on the department. Islamabad and Rawalpindi cover 43 seats, while the four Civilian Medical Practitioners at GHQ can be sent anywhere in Pakistan.

Except for the PIMS Professor, the printed age limit gets five more years of general relaxation. For the Professor, FPSC prints 52 with relaxation up to 55. PIMS is the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. AFIRM is the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Demonstrator is the post for new MBBS graduates
The Demonstrator post asks for an MBBS or equivalent recognised or registered by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. No experience is printed. With 25 seats and a Rs 600 fee, this is the widest opening for young doctors in this advertisement, so check your domicile share.

Gilgit-Baltistan has no share in this case. Civilian Medical Practitioner is the other route for an MBBS, and it adds a valid PMDC registration line. Its four seats are Merit 1, Punjab 2 and Sindh Urban 1.
Nurses need PNC registration for the AFIRM posts
The 10 AFIRM Nurse posts accept a second class Bachelor's in Nursing, or a three year General Nursing diploma with a one year Midwifery course. Both routes need valid Pakistan Nursing Council registration. The posting is Rawalpindi, and the post is listed as permanent.
The seats are Merit 1, Punjab 5 (open 4, women 1), Sindh Rural 1, Sindh Urban 1, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 1 and Balochistan 1. Before you apply, check that your own record is current through the nursing licence check by CNIC. FPSC decides eligibility up to the closing date, so a licence that lapsed before 23 November could count against you.
PIMS professor posts ask for years of teaching and research
These posts are for senior doctors with teaching records. Professor needs three years as Associate Professor, with at least eight years in total as Assistant or Associate Professor in a postgraduate institute, plus research papers. Associate Professor needs five years as Assistant Professor at a postgraduate institute, plus at least three papers.

Undergraduate teachers have a longer route. For Professor, it is nine years as Assistant Professor or four as Associate Professor, with 12 years in total. For Associate Professor, it is eight years as Assistant Professor and five papers. The research counts differ too, so read pages 2 and 3 of the scan in full.
Two rules catch applicants. You must name your specialty category on the form, and each category needs a separate application and separate fee. And the Professor case is a re-advertisement from Consolidated Advertisement No. 3/2026. FPSC says those who already applied need not apply again.
Apply by 23 November with your registration ready
All five cases go through the FPSC online portal, with no hard copy. You create a PSID in the form and pay through 1-Link. The written test is tentatively from 2 January 2027, and FPSC will post the schedule and syllabus on its website.
- Confirm your registration is valid: PM&DC for doctors, Pakistan Nursing Council for nurses.
- Check your own domicile against the seats for your case.
- Government employees: get the Departmental Permission Certificate first.
- Apply at the FPSC portal, entering all your experience at once.
- Pay the fee by PSID, and keep the record.
- Watch the FPSC admission certificate section from mid December.

In Islamabad. FPSC lists Islamabad as the place of posting for the Demonstrator post.
Is a nursing diploma enough for the FPSC Nurse post?
A three year General Nursing diploma works only with a one year Midwifery course. You also need valid Pakistan Nursing Council registration.
Can a PIMS professor applicant apply for two specialties?
FPSC asks for a separate online application and separate fee for each category, so a second specialty means a second Rs 3,000.
Are the other Federal Medical College jobs in this advertisement?
