Gemini 4 Carbon is not available to ordinary users in Pakistan yet: Google announced it on 28 October 2026 and is giving it first only to selected cyber defence teams through its Fairwind Program. It is not in the free Gemini app, Google AI Plus or Google AI Pro today. When it reaches developers, Google says it will cost $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens, about Rs 553 and Rs 2,768 at the State Bank's 30 October rate.

If you have seen "Gemini 4 Carbon" trending and opened Gemini to look for it, that is why the model picker does not show it. We read Google's launch post, the Fairwind Program page and the Gemini plans page for Pakistan on 31 October 2026. Below is who can use Carbon now, what it is meant for, what it will cost, and which model you can use instead today.

Gemini 4 Carbon is not in the Gemini app in Pakistan yet

Google's post says Carbon is rolling out deliberately. From this week a subset of cyber defenders get it, then more trusted partners in phases. Google says it will reach developers, businesses and consumers "as soon as possible", but gives no date for any country, Pakistan included.

Carbon is built for long coding jobs and cyber security

Google calls Carbon its strongest model, with top results in cyber security and long, multi-step tasks. It says internal teams ran it for days on hard engineering problems, such as finding and fixing subtle bugs across large codebases. It is aimed at developers and security teams, not at casual chat.

The numbers Google published are mostly security tests. Carbon scored 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro, which measures finding real vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym and 71.0% on CWE-bench, which tests writing fixes. Google says it ranks first on an independent intelligence index with a score of 59, and fourth on a web development leaderboard.

  • Secure code: Google says Carbon is more than twice as successful as Argon at writing secure code on its internal tests.
  • Prompt injection: 0.0% attack success on one benchmark, against 0.7% for Argon.
  • Honesty: about half as many unsupported claims as Argon in Google's internal testing.
  • Staying in scope: 26% less overreach and 29% less under-service on multi-step plans.

All of these figures come from Google's own post. Some benchmarks were run without guardrails, as Google notes, so treat them as a guide rather than a promise.

The API price will be $2 and $10 per million tokens

Google says Carbon will launch at the same introductory price as Gemini 4 Argon: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Cached input tokens cost 95% less than normal input. A token is a small piece of a word, and you pay for what you send in and what the model writes back.

ItemUS dollarsRupees at Rs 276.75
Input, per million tokens$2About Rs 553.50
Output, per million tokens$10About Rs 2,767.52
Cached input, per million tokens$0.10About Rs 27.68

The rupee figures are our arithmetic at the State Bank of Pakistan's mark to market rate of Rs 276.7522 to the dollar on 30 October 2026. Your card bank adds its own exchange margin, and a tax on card payments abroad applies. The current rate is explained in tax on card payments abroad in Pakistan.

What to use today instead of Carbon

For most people in Pakistan, the best Google model you can actually use now is Gemini 4 Argon. It comes with Google AI Pro at Rs 5,600 a month. Free users get the Flash-Lite model, and Google AI Plus at Rs 1,400 adds the Flash model with double the free limits.

  1. For everyday chat, notes and Urdu writing, stay on the free plan and see if its limits are enough.
  2. If you hit limits often, compare Plus and Pro, and read who gets Gemini 4 Argon in Pakistan.
  3. If you build apps, get a key through Google AI Studio and test current models now.
  4. Watch Google's blog and AI Studio's model list for Carbon's developer release.
  5. Run your own small test on Carbon before moving a paid project to it.

If you work in a Pakistani bank, telecom company or government IT team, Google's Fairwind page says access is prioritised for governments and national cyber authorities, critical infrastructure such as telecoms, energy, health and finance, and core technology platforms. Applications go through your Google Cloud account team. Students are pointed to Google's CodeMender tool instead.

Beware of "Gemini 4 Carbon access" offers

If anyone offers you paid early access to Carbon, say no. Google's Fairwind page says partners in the program may not share, redistribute or sell access. Anyone selling you Carbon today is selling something Google says cannot be sold.

Paying a stranger for a shared Google account also puts your email, photos and Drive at risk. When Carbon reaches Gemini, it will show in the app's model list on your own account.

Common questions

Is Gemini 4 Carbon available in Pakistan?

Not for ordinary users. Google gave it first to a subset of cyber defenders on 28 October 2026 and has set no consumer date for any country.

Will Gemini 4 Carbon be free?

Google has not said. Today its plans page puts the top model, Gemini 4 Argon, in Google AI Pro, not in the free plan.

How much will the Gemini 4 Carbon API cost?

Google says $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens at launch, with cached input 95% cheaper.

Is Carbon better than Argon?

Google says Carbon is stronger, especially at secure coding and security tasks, and launched two weeks after Argon. Its figures are Google's own tests.

Can a Pakistani company join the Fairwind Program?

Google's page prioritises governments, critical infrastructure operators and core technology platforms, with background checks. You apply through your Google Cloud account team.

Does Google AI Pro include Carbon?

Not yet. On 31 October 2026 the Pakistan plans page listed Gemini 4 Argon for AI Pro and did not mention Carbon.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 31 October 2026. We read Google's post Gemini 4 Carbon: our next frontier model (28 October 2026), the Fairwind Program page on deepmind.google, the Gemini plans page for Pakistan and the State Bank's mark to market rate sheet for 30 October 2026. Benchmark figures are Google's. We could not test Carbon, because it is not open to us, and Google has given no date for Pakistan.
