A shopkeeper in Pakistan can use GPT-6 to draft WhatsApp replies, price lists, simple invoices and a weekly sales summary in minutes. Paste your real figures, ask for a table, and check every total yourself. The free plan runs on GPT-6 Luna, and Plus adds GPT-6 Sol.

Most shops lose time on the same chores: answering "what is the price?" fifty times, writing a bill, and working out what sold. GPT-6 handles the writing well. It does not know your costs or your customers, so you supply those.

We read OpenAI's pricing page and release notes on 22 October 2026 for the plan details. We did not run these prompts inside a real shop, and all rupee amounts below are sample numbers, not advice on what to charge.

Draft WhatsApp replies for common customer questions

Give GPT-6 your shop, your real prices and your opening hours, and ask for short replies in Roman Urdu or English. Save the good ones as quick replies in WhatsApp Business so you do not retype them.

I run a mobile accessories shop in Rawalpindi. Write 6 short WhatsApp replies in simple Roman Urdu for: price enquiry, item in stock, home delivery, warranty, wrong item, and shop timings. Use these facts only: delivery is Rs 200 inside the city, shop opens 11 am to 9 pm, warranty is 7 days on chargers. Keep each reply under 40 words and polite.

It fails if you leave out facts, because the model may invent a warranty or a delivery charge. After you save the replies, set them up using WhatsApp Business app and catalog setup.

Four shop chores GPT-6 can help with: WhatsApp replies, price lists, invoices and sales summaries

Build a price list from your cost and margin

Give ChatGPT your buying price and the profit you want, and it can produce a neat price table. The arithmetic is simple but easy to get wrong, so check at least three rows by hand.

Here are my items with buying price in rupees. I want a 20 percent margin on each. Make a table with item, cost, selling price rounded to the nearest Rs 5, and profit per piece. Show the formula you used.

Phone charger, 450
Earphones, 300
Phone cover, 150

The sample margin of 20 percent is only an example. Set your own after you count rent, electricity and your time. If you take card or QR payments, remember that payment costs differ. Our guide to registering a shop for Raast QR payments covers that route.

Write a clear invoice text, and know it is not a tax document

ChatGPT can lay out an invoice in a clean table with item, quantity, rate and total. But a text from a chatbot is not an FBR or provincial tax invoice. If you are registered for sales tax, you must use the official system.

Make a simple bill for a customer. Shop name: Al Noor Store. Items: 2 chargers at Rs 450, 1 cover at Rs 150. Show each line total and a grand total. Add a thank you line in Urdu.
  1. Type the items, quantities and rates.
  2. Ask for a table with line totals.
  3. Add the totals on a calculator.
  4. Copy the table into your bill book or message.
  5. If you are registered, issue the official invoice too.

Shops that must display a number or issue cash memos should read small business FBR penalties on NTN display and cash memos before they rely on any home-made bill.

Turn a week of sales into a short summary

Paste a week of sales as rows and ask for totals, best sellers and slow items. With Intelligent UI, GPT-6 may show a chart. Open your own register and confirm the total, since a copy-paste slip changes the answer.

Here are my daily sales in rupees: Mon 12000, Tue 9500, Wed 15000, Thu 11000, Fri 18000, Sat 21000, Sun 8000. Give the total, the average per day, the best and worst day, and a bar chart. Then suggest two simple ideas to sell more on slow days.

Those numbers are made up. The model's ideas will be general, such as a Monday offer, and you must judge whether they suit your street.

Protect customer data and do not trust a price you did not give

Do not paste customers' phone numbers, CNICs, addresses or bank details into a chat. Remove them first, or write "Customer A". Ask for no prices you have not supplied, because ChatGPT does not know today's market rates.

Common questions

Is GPT-6 free for small business in Pakistan?

Yes, a free plan exists. OpenAI says Free and Go users get GPT-6 Luna in the Chat tab from 8 October 2026.

Can ChatGPT reply to my WhatsApp customers by itself?

Not through the ordinary chat. It drafts text, and you paste it. Automatic replies need a separate setup that we did not test.

Can ChatGPT set my prices?

It can calculate prices from your cost and margin. It does not know the market on your street.

Is a ChatGPT invoice valid for tax?

No. It is a layout only. Use the official invoice system if you are registered.

Does ChatGPT write Roman Urdu well?

Usually yes for short messages, but read each one. Spellings vary.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 22 October 2026. Plan and model details come from OpenAI's pricing page and release notes. The prompts are our own and untested in a live shop. Every rupee amount is a sample. We did not verify any tax rule here, and for tax invoices you should read FBR's or your province's own pages.
