Gwadar Port Authority has 70 posts open until 14 November

Gwadar Port Authority, under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, wants 70 people for 39 posts in BPS-01 to BPS-16, all allocated to Balochistan quota. The listings went up on the National Jobs Portal on 28 October 2026 and close on 14 November.

The advert says applications must reach GPA within 15 days of publication, through the portal only. It also says direct applications by hand, post or email will not be accepted. If you want two posts, you apply twice, once for each.

GPA plans, runs and maintains the deep water port at Gwadar, one of the Gwadar CPEC projects. That is why this list mixes office staff with seamen, a jetty inspector, a hydrographic surveyor and crane operators.

Every Gwadar Port Authority post by grade

The table lists all 39 posts with grade, seats, base age band and the key qualification. GPA adds 5 years general and 5 years Balochistan relaxation to these bands, so a 20 to 28 band becomes up to 38 on the portal.

No written test, only walk-in interviews and skill tests

GPA's advert says all recruitment for BPS-01 to BPS-16 will be by walk-in interview, with no entry test or written test. Only shortlisted candidates will be called. A practical test applies only to steno typist, driver and mobile crane operator.

The steno typist will be tested on shorthand and typing, 80 and 40 words a minute. Drivers and crane operators will be tested on driving or operating the machine. Everyone else goes straight to interview if shortlisted. Not every employer in the wider Balochistan jobs drive on NJP says the same, so this rule is GPA's own.

That makes the paperwork your test. The shortlist is drawn from what you upload, so a missing experience letter or an unclear domicile scan can end your chance before any interview.

Experience is the hidden filter for most GPA posts

Most technical and field posts want 2 to 5 years of experience on top of the qualification. Sub engineers need 3 years after the DAE, drivers 5 years with an HTV licence, and the fire station inspector 5 years in firefighting.

A few posts need a rare document. The hydrographic surveyor must be qualified from a foreign institute or the Pakistan Navy. The second mate post wants a second class master certificate of marine craft. Several office posts ask for the NITB basic IT course.

The posts with no experience rule are the clerical and entry ones: office assistant, store keeper, IT supervisor, UDC, accounts clerk, LDC, helper and naib qasid.
