The federal government has opened 4,599 jobs for people with a Balochistan domicile on the National Jobs Portal (njp.gov.pk), spread over 414 listings from 55 departments, and the first last date is 2 November 2026. Applications are online only and free on the portal. The biggest employers are QESCO with 2,798 posts and Pakistan Railways with 823, but the list also has BISP, Motorway Police, ASF, the Navy, WAPDA and Gwadar Port.

The portal calls this the "Balochistan Employment Initiative". Every listing carries the tag "Balochistan Domicile Required". We read all 42 pages of the Balochistan section of njp.gov.pk on 31 October 2026 and added up every vacancy ourselves, department by department. The full count, the last dates and the age rule are below.

4,599 federal posts are open for Balochistan domicile holders

The National Jobs Portal lists 414 Balochistan-only job listings with 4,599 vacancies between them. They come from 55 federal ministries, companies and bodies. Most were posted between 27 and 30 October 2026, and every last date falls in November 2026.

The portal header says these are public sector posts "restricted to candidates possessing Balochistan domicile". So a candidate from Punjab, Sindh or Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cannot apply, even for a post based in Islamabad. That matters, because some of these jobs are at head offices outside the province, such as BISP headquarters and the Ministry of Railways in Islamabad.

Of the 4,599 posts, 3,684 are on contract and 915 are regular. QESCO's and Pakistan Railways' posts are the contract ones. BISP, the Navy, ASF and Motorway Police list theirs as regular.

Twenty three departments have 11 or more vacancies and hold 4,488 of the 4,599 posts. The other 32 bodies share 111 posts. QESCO alone is 61 per cent of the whole drive, so most readers will find their best chance there.

The contract or regular column is what each listing shows on the portal. WAPDA has both: its staff nurse and school teacher posts are on contract, the rest regular. The 32 smaller bodies include OGRA, PTA, NEPRA, HEC, Port Qasim Authority, the Cabinet Division and the Finance Division, each with one to eight posts.

Last dates run from 2 to 30 November 2026

The earliest last date is 2 November 2026, for six NTC listings with 22 posts. Most posts close between 11 and 14 November. The latest close on 25 November (Navy, Survey of Pakistan), 26 November (Controller General of Accounts) and 30 November (Foreign Affairs).

Do not wait for the last day. The portal says that once a vacancy closes it does not accept new applications unless the employer extends or reopens it.

  • 2 November: NTC field posts such as chowkidar, junior technician and telecom technician.
  • 8 to 9 November: PTV and the Auditor General, including 31 junior auditor posts.
  • 11 November: Pakistan Railways, the Ministry of Railways, ASF, NHA, Commerce.
  • 12 November: BISP, Motorway Police, WAPDA, Law and Justice, PMD.
  • 14 November: QESCO and Gwadar Port Authority.
  • 25 to 30 November: Navy, Survey of Pakistan, Controller General of Accounts, Foreign Affairs.

Balochistan candidates get five extra years of upper age

The adverts give Balochistan domicile holders five years of upper age relaxation instead of the usual three, for this recruitment only. So a post with a 30 year limit takes you up to 35. Other relaxations, for government servants, ex-servicemen and disabled candidates, still apply on top in some cases.

The Pakistan Railways adverts state the rule plainly: age 18 to 30 plus 5 years, "notified by Establishment Division dated 22.10.2026". The Ministry of Railways advert also cites a second office memorandum dated 27 October 2026. ASF's listings say "5 years instead of 3 years upper age relaxation for Balochistan domicile holder for this recruitment only".

Each listing on the portal still shows its own maximum age, and they differ. QESCO and Railways show 35. BISP shows 30 for most posts and 45 for chowkidar. Motorway Police constables are capped at 25, with no relaxation.

How to apply on njp.gov.pk

You need an account on the National Jobs Portal, made with your CNIC, an email address and a password. Then you build your CV on the portal and press Apply on each listing. The portal says registration and applications are free.

  1. Open njp.gov.pk and press Sign Up. Choose Candidate Signup.
  2. Enter your CNIC, email and password, then open the verification email.
  3. Sign in and fill your CV: personal details, domicile, education, experience.
  4. Open Balochistan Jobs, pick a listing and check its qualification and age.
  5. Press Apply before the last date and keep a screenshot of the confirmation.

The most common snag in NJP registration and online applications is a degree missing from the drop-down list, which you fix by raising a ticket from the education section of your CV. Keep your Balochistan domicile certificate ready, because every one of these posts depends on it.

Five steps to apply for Balochistan federal jobs on the National Jobs Portal

Fake fee demands and agents are the main risk

The National Jobs Portal does not charge candidates anything. Its own help page warns readers to be careful of "unauthorized persons demanding payment in exchange for jobs". With 4,599 posts on offer, expect WhatsApp forwards that ask for a fee to "confirm" a seat.

No agent can place you on a merit list. Shortlisting is done by the recruiting department, not the portal. If someone asks for money, treat it like any of the fake online job offers that appear whenever a big recruitment opens, and do not pay a rupee. Some departments will later ask for a test fee through a testing service; that comes with its own official challan.

Common questions

Who can apply for the Balochistan jobs on the National Jobs Portal?

Only candidates with a Balochistan domicile. Every listing in the section is tagged "Balochistan Domicile Required", including posts based in Islamabad.

How many Balochistan jobs are on njp.gov.pk?

We counted 4,599 vacancies in 414 listings from 55 departments on 31 October 2026. The portal header counts the listings, 414, not the seats.

Is there an application fee?

No fee on the portal. NJP says registration and applications are free. A department can still set a test fee later through its own testing service.

What is the last date for QESCO and Railways jobs?

QESCO closes on 14 November 2026 and Pakistan Railways on 11 November 2026, according to their listings on the portal.

Who decides the shortlist?

The recruiting department. NJP says it only provides the application platform and technical support, and does not shortlist anyone.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 31 October 2026, Pakistan time. We read all 42 pages of the Balochistan Jobs section of the National Jobs Portal and added up the vacancies, contract and regular split, and last dates per department ourselves. We read individual listings for QESCO, Pakistan Railways, BISP, NHMP, ASF and the Navy, and the portal's FAQ page for the fee and shortlisting rules. The age relaxation and the 22 October memorandum come from Pakistan Railways' three Balochistan quota adverts on pakrail.gov.pk, dated 27 October 2026. We could not open the Establishment Division's own website, which returned an error, so we have not read the memorandums themselves. We did not create an account or apply for any post. Listings can be added, extended or withdrawn, so check the live listing before you apply.
