IESCO has posted its annual maintenance schedule as Excel files, one for each circle, with shutdown dates for each feeder until 10 February 2027. Most cuts run from 9 am to 2 pm. Download your circle's file, search your feeder name from your bill, and you can see your dates months ahead.

Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) lists the files on its Maintenance Schedule page. We downloaded all nine on 7 November 2026 and read them. Many readers only see the single day press releases, like the 5 November shutdown schedule. The files show the whole winter plan.

Six operating circles each have their own file

The six circle files cover Islamabad, Rawalpindi City, Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal. Together they hold about 18,900 rows, where each row is one feeder on one date. There are also three files for grid and construction work.

IESCO fileRows (about)Grid stations we saw in it
Islamabad3,300Rawal, Zero Point, I-8, F-11, Nilore, Murree
Rawalpindi City3,000Chaklala, Pirwadhai, Satellite Town, Taramri
Rawalpindi Cantt3,350Chaklala, Sowan
Attock2,900New Wah, Bahtar
Jhelum4,100Jhelum, Gujar Khan, Kallar Syedan, Sangohi
Chakwal2,100Chakwal, Talagang, Bhagwal
GSO, PD GSC, ConstructionAbout 3,400Grid transformers, transmission lines, projects

The counts are ours. A few rows carry dates later than February 2027, and one Jhelum row reads 2028, which looks like a typing error. So check any odd date with your sub-division before you plan around it. IESCO's page labels the files as 1 to 30 November 2026, but the titles inside them run into February 2027.

About how many schedule rows each IESCO circle file holds

Most IESCO cuts run from 9 am to 2 pm

The large majority of rows show 9:00 to 14:00. Some construction work starts at 7:00 am, and a small group runs from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. So plan for a five hour daytime cut unless your row says otherwise.

Weekdays differ too. In the Islamabad and two Rawalpindi files, Fridays are very light and Saturdays are the heaviest. That is a useful thing to know if you run a shop or a clinic.

These are rows for 9 to 12 November from the Islamabad file, to show what you will find. A feeder is the 11 kV line for one area. Many feeders in the Islamabad sectors are named after the sector they serve.

This is only part of each day's list, and not every feeder name matches its area, so always use the name on your own bill. Look at the "Area Affected" column in the file to confirm.

Find your dates in four steps

You need your feeder name, your circle, and a phone or computer that can open an Excel file. A free spreadsheet app on your phone can search it. The bill gives the feeder name and code.

  1. Read your feeder name on your bill, or open a copy through IESCO bill check online.
  2. Go to IESCO's Maintenance Schedule page and download your circle's file.
  3. Use the search in your spreadsheet app to look for the feeder name or the feeder code.
  4. Write down each date, the start time and the end time.
  5. Check the Purpose column to see if it is maintenance or construction work.
  6. If a date passes without any cut, do not assume it is cancelled for good. Ask your sub-division.
Four steps to find your feeder dates in the IESCO maintenance schedule

IESCO may still change dates. Treat the file as the plan and watch for press releases on its site in the day or two before.

What to do when the cut runs over

Call 118 or use IESCO's SMS and complaint channels if power stays off long after the end time. A cut outside a listed date is treated as a fault, so report it as one with your reference number.

The channels and customer care centres are in IESCO's complaint numbers. Regular daily cuts are separate, and those are in IESCO's load shedding feeder list. For a fault such as a burnt transformer, reporting a blown fuse or transformer explains the steps. NEPRA's limits are in the planned power cut limit.

Common questions

Where is the IESCO annual maintenance schedule?

On IESCO's Maintenance Schedule page at iesco.com.pk, as Excel files by circle.

What time do IESCO shutdowns usually run?

From 9 am to 2 pm in most rows. Some construction work starts at 7 am, and a small group runs 11 am to 1 pm.

How far ahead does the schedule go?

The Islamabad file's title says 15 October 2026 to 10 February 2027, and the others are close to that. A few rows go later.

Does IESCO cut power on Fridays?

Rarely in this plan. We counted 123 Friday rows out of about 9,680 in the Islamabad and two Rawalpindi files.

Is there a shutdown on Iqbal Day, 9 November 2026?

The files list feeders for that date, including E-7 and G-10/3 in Islamabad. Check your own feeder, since the list is long.

What we read

We downloaded the workbooks from IESCO's Maintenance Schedule page on 7 November 2026. The counts and the day totals are our own, by script. IESCO may change any date.
