Short answer: IESCO will cut power on about 200 feeders on Thursday, 5 November 2026, for annual maintenance and development work. Most cuts run from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Eight Islamabad feeders start at 8:00 am, and two Attock feeders start at 7:00 am. All cuts are due to end at 2:00 pm.

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) posted this IESCO shutdown schedule as Press Release No 03:11/2026, titled "Power Suspension Annual Maintenance Schedule for 5th November 2026". We downloaded it from IESCO's press release page on 4 November and counted every feeder by circle. Find your feeder name on your bill, then search for it in the lists below.

The notice covers all six IESCO operation circles: Islamabad, Rawalpindi City, Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal. Attock has the most feeders, 43 entries, followed by Islamabad with 42 and Rawalpindi City with 37.

How to check your feeder and get ready

Your feeder name is printed on your electricity bill. If it is in the lists above, expect no power during the hours shown. These are planned cuts, so a call to 118 will not restore supply early.

  1. Find the feeder name on your IESCO bill, near the reference number.
  2. Search for it in the circle lists above. Some names repeat in two circles, such as AOWHS and Lala Zar, so match the circle too.
  3. Charge phones, UPS batteries and power banks the night before.
  4. Fill water tanks early if your building uses an electric pump.
  5. If power is still off after 2:00 pm, call IESCO on 118 and note the complaint number.

If your feeder is not listed and power goes off, that is not this maintenance work. It may be routine load shedding or a fault. The IESCO load shedding schedule shows routine hours by feeder. Earlier notices this week are in the IESCO shutdown schedule for 1 and 2 November.

Steps to check if your IESCO feeder is on the 5 November 2026 shutdown list

Who to call if power does not return

IESCO's notice asks consumers to call the IESCO helpline on 118 for more information. IESCO also posts shutdown schedules on its website and its official social media pages. If 118 is busy, the customer care centres in the IESCO complaint number list take complaints in person and by phone.

Maintenance work can finish late. If power is still off at 3:00 pm, register a fault complaint on 118 and keep the number. A planned shutdown that overruns becomes an ordinary outage, and the normal complaint rules apply to it.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We downloaded the English notice for 5 November 2026 from IESCO's press release page on 4 November 2026 and counted the feeders ourselves. The page also lists a notice for 4 November. We did not visit the feeders, and IESCO can change or cancel planned work at short notice.
