The Jazz conference call code is *188# on prepaid, and *188*1# switches it off. Postpaid users dial *777*5# or call 111, and pay Rs 50 plus tax a month. Once it is on, you can add up to 4 numbers to one call, on Jazz, on other networks or abroad. Below you will find what each person on the call costs you, how to merge calls on Android and iPhone, and what to do when the Add call button stays grey.

A family call about a wedding date, three relatives in three cities, and one of them has no internet for WhatsApp. That is when a normal conference call earns its keep. We read Jazz's self-service dial code list and its prepaid and postpaid conference call pages on 24 October 2026. Every code here comes from Jazz. We did not dial them, because we have no Jazz SIM.

Jazz lists *188# for prepaid and *777*5# for postpaid

Prepaid users subscribe with *188# and stop with *188*1#. Postpaid users subscribe with *777*5#, or by calling 111, and pay Rs 50 plus tax each month. Both versions let you join up to 4 numbers.

Jazz's prepaid page gives no subscription fee at all. It sends readers in AJK, the former FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, Islamabad and Balochistan to a separate regional tariff, which suggests the charge can differ by area. Read the confirmation SMS after you dial *188#: it is the only place the prepaid price will show for your number.

Postpaid is clearer. The page states the service charge as Rs 50 plus tax per month, and says the service is available on all prepaid packages and postpaid numbers.

Jazz conference call codes for prepaid and postpaid in Pakistan

Every person you add is charged as a separate call

Jazz says each call in a conference is treated and charged as a new call under your package. Free minutes are used first, then your balance. So a call with 3 other people costs three calls at once, all paid by you.

That is the part people miss. The subscription only unlocks the feature. The minutes still run on every line you dialled. Your relatives pay nothing for the calls you made to them.

Here is a worked example with Jazz's own base rate. Jazz's package pages state that, without a call package, calls cost Rs 3.5 for every 60 seconds. A 10 minute conference with 3 people you called yourself is 3 lines times 10 minutes, so 30 minutes, which is Rs 105 at that rate. That is our arithmetic, not a Jazz figure.

With a bundle the picture changes. If your bundle has Jazz minutes and two of the three people are on Jazz, those two lines come out of your free Jazz minutes. The third line, on another network, uses your other network minutes or your balance. A bundle with a large stock of minutes, such as the Jazz Voice Infinity offer, makes long family calls far cheaper than paying per minute.

How to start a Jazz conference call in 6 steps

Subscribe first, then build the call on your phone's own dialler. Call the first person, put them on hold with Add call, dial the next person, and press Merge. Repeat until you have up to 4 numbers on the line.

  1. Dial *188# on prepaid, or *777*5# on postpaid, and wait for the confirmation SMS.
  2. Call the first person in the normal way and wait for them to answer.
  3. Tap Add call. The first person goes on hold.
  4. Dial the second number. When they answer, tap Merge, or Merge calls on most Android phones.
  5. Repeat Add call and Merge for the third and fourth numbers.
  6. To drop one person, open the call details and end only their line. To stop the service, dial *188*1# on prepaid. Jazz lists no stop code for postpaid, so ask on 111.

The button names above are the standard ones on Android and iPhone diallers, not Jazz wording. Some phones call it Conference or show a plus sign. The order is always the same: connect, hold, add, merge.

Steps to make a Jazz conference call on Android or iPhone

When Merge stays grey, check call waiting and the subscription

A grey Merge or Add call button usually means the service is not active on your number, or call waiting is off. Jazz lists *43# to switch call waiting on. Then try again, and confirm the subscription SMS arrived.

Try these in order:

  • No confirmation SMS. Dial *188# again and read the reply. If your balance was too low for the subscription, recharge first.
  • Call waiting off. Jazz's code list gives *43# to turn call waiting on and #43# to turn it off. Holding one call while you dial another depends on it.
  • Calls diverting. If calls to you are forwarded elsewhere, cancel forwarding with ##002#, a code Jazz lists, and then check that call forwarding is off before you try again.
  • Weak signal. Every extra line needs a stable connection. If the merge drops, move to a window or turn on Wi-Fi calling if your phone supports it.

If none of that works, raise a complaint in the SIMOSA app or call 111, and ask the agent to confirm the service is provisioned on your number.

A WhatsApp group call is cheaper only when everyone has data

A WhatsApp group call uses data instead of minutes, so it costs nothing extra if all callers have a data bundle. The Jazz conference call works for anyone with a phone signal, including basic handsets and people abroad on any network.

Use the Jazz service when one person has no internet, an old phone, or a weak data signal. Use WhatsApp when everyone is online. Ufone users have their own version: the Ufone conference call code works the same way on that network.

One honest warning. The postpaid fee of Rs 50 a month keeps running whether you use the service or not. If you made one conference call for a single family event, switch it off afterwards. The same goes for prepaid: stop it with *188*1#, and check your active services with the free Jazz unsubscribe codes, *6611# first.

Common questions

What is the Jazz conference call code?

Dial *188# on Jazz prepaid. Postpaid users dial *777*5# or call 111. Jazz lists *188*1# to switch the prepaid service off.

How many people can join a Jazz conference call?

Jazz says you can add up to 4 numbers to one conference call. They can be on Jazz, on another network, or international numbers.

How much does a Jazz conference call cost?

Postpaid pays Rs 50 plus tax a month for the service. Prepaid's fee is not stated on Jazz's page. On both, each line you dial is charged as a normal call from your minutes or balance.

Do the other people pay for a Jazz conference call?

No, not for the lines you dialled. In Pakistan the caller pays for an outgoing call, and Jazz charges each line in the conference as a new call from your package, so the person who built the conference pays for every line they dialled.

Can I use the conference call while roaming abroad?

Jazz's conference call page does not mention roaming. Calls made abroad are charged at the roaming tariff, so a conference from abroad would cost each line at roaming rates. Check the tariff before trying.

Why is the Merge button not showing?

The service may not be active, or call waiting may be off. Dial *188# again for the confirmation SMS, and dial *43# to turn call waiting on.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Jazz's self-service dial code list (prepaid, postpaid and shared tables), its prepaid conference call page and its postpaid conference call page on 24 October 2026. The *188#, *188*1#, *777*5#, *43#, #43# and ##002# codes, the 4 number limit, the per call charging and the Rs 50 postpaid fee all come from those pages. The Rs 3.5 per minute base rate comes from the terms on Jazz's monthly package pages, read the same day. We could not find a prepaid subscription fee on any Jazz page, and we did not dial the codes ourselves because we have no Jazz SIM. The cost example is our own arithmetic.
