The Jazz missed call alert code is *180#, and *180*1# switches it off. On prepaid it costs Rs 3.20 a day, including tax. On postpaid it costs Rs 50 a month plus tax. After subscribing, calls must be diverted to 142 for the alerts to arrive, which Jazz writes as **62*0300142#. Jazz sells three related services, Notify Me, Call Back Notification and End of Call Notification, each with its own daily charge. Below are all four, what they cost in a month, and how to stop each one.

We read Jazz's pages for each service and its self-service dial code list on 24 October 2026. Every code and price is quoted from Jazz. We did not subscribe, because we have no Jazz SIM.

Jazz has 4 call alert services with separate charges

Missed Call Alert tells you who called while your phone was off. Notify Me tells you when a switched off number comes back. Call Back Notification sends both of you a missed call. End of Call Notification shows the cost after each call.

Postpaid users pay Rs 50 a month plus tax for Missed Call Alert, according to Jazz's postpaid page. End of Call Notification is for prepaid only.

Missed Call Alert needs a divert to 142 after you subscribe

Dialling *180# subscribes you. The alerts start only once calls are diverted to 142 when you are unreachable or busy. Jazz's code list gives **62*0300142# for that divert. Without it, you pay the daily charge and get nothing.

  1. Dial *180# and wait for the confirmation SMS.
  2. Dial **62*0300142# to divert calls to 142 when your phone is off or out of coverage.
  3. If you have no call waiting, also set Divert if busy to 142 in your phone's call settings.
  4. Switch the phone off for a minute and ask someone to call you, to test it.
  5. When you switch back on, the SMS shows the caller's number, date and time. Press OK on the number to call back.

Jazz's page describes the divert through the phone menu: Settings, Call settings, Call divert, Divert if out of reach, Other number, then 142. The code does the same thing faster. The menu names differ by phone.

Missed Call Alert also includes a feature called Alert My Caller, which tells the people who tried you that you are back. Jazz says it carries no extra charge, but switching Alert My Caller on also switches Missed Call Alert on, with its daily fee.

Steps to activate Jazz Missed Call Alert and divert calls to 142

All four services together cost about Rs 234 a month

At Jazz's daily rates over 30 days, Missed Call Alert costs Rs 96, Notify Me Rs 66, End of Call Notification Rs 36, and Call Back Notification Rs 35.80 on its monthly plan. Together that is about Rs 234 a month.

These totals are our own arithmetic from Jazz's prices. The point is simple: each looks small at a few rupees a day, and each renews daily until you stop it. Jazz says every one of them continues unless you unsubscribe.

There is a second catch. Jazz says Missed Call Alert keeps running even when your balance is zero, and takes the charges in arrears from your next recharge. Load Rs 100 after a week with no balance and part of it goes straight to old fees.

Call Back Notification has a cheaper monthly plan. At Rs 1.80 a day, 30 days cost Rs 54. The monthly plan is Rs 35.80. If you want it at all, the monthly plan saves about Rs 18.

Notify Me and Call Back work only on Jazz numbers

Notify Me and Call Back Notification only track Jazz numbers. If the person you called is on Zong, Ufone or Telenor, you get no alert, but you still pay the daily charge. Notify Me tracks a number for 48 hours.

Notify Me messages come from a sender called NotifyMe. They show the number, how many times you called, and the times of the first and last call. Jazz says you are charged only the subscription, not per alert, and that no alert is sent if the other person is just on call waiting.

Send STATUS to 6528 or STATUS to 7002 to check whether either service is active on your number.

Missed Call Alert does not work abroad, so cancel the divert first

Jazz says Missed Call Alert is not available while you are roaming abroad, and asks you to cancel call forwarding before leaving Pakistan. Dial ##002# to cancel all diverts.

The ##002# code clears every divert at once, including the one to 142. You can also check and cancel call forwarding one type at a time. Before a trip, also read how to activate roaming on Jazz.

If you find any of these services on your number and never asked for them, stop them first, then complain. Jazz's FAQ says a complaint about a service activated without consent must be made within 60 days. The free list of everything active on your number is *6611#, one of the free Jazz unsubscribe codes.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read Jazz's prepaid Missed Call Alert page, its postpaid Missed Call Alert page, its Jazz Notify Me, Call Back Notification and End of Call Notification pages, its self-service dial code list and its FAQ page on 24 October 2026. Codes, prices, the 142 divert, the 48 hour tracking and the roaming rule come from those pages. The monthly totals are our arithmetic. The End of Call Notification page shows no stop code today, so we give none. We did not subscribe to any service.
