Join Pakistan Navy as PN Cadet 2027-A: Register Online by 11 October

Join Pak Navy online registration for PN Cadet Term 2027-A is open at joinpaknavy.gov.pk until 11 October 2026. You need Matric and FSc with at least 60% marks, a height of 5 feet 4 inches, and, as an unmarried civilian, an age of 16½ to 21 on 15 May 2027.

This is the Navy's officer intake for a permanent commission, in the Operations, Supply and Engineering branches. It is for male candidates only.

We read both 2027-A advertisements, the criteria sheet, the registration form and the PN Cadet FAQs on joinpaknavy.gov.pk on 26 September 2026. We did not submit a registration, so we have not seen the fee amount, which is paid on test day.

PN Cadet 2027-A registration dates and branches

Registration runs from 13 September to 11 October 2026, online only. Results of the first test are due on the Navy's website in the fourth week of October 2026. The same intake covers Operations, Supply and three Engineering branches.

Pick the branch carefully. Engineering needs Chemistry in FSc. Operations and Supply also accept Computer Science or Statistics in place of Chemistry.

Eligibility for PN Cadet 2027-A

You must be a male citizen of Pakistan, at least 5 feet 4 inches tall, with at least 60% marks in both Matric and FSc or O and A Level. Civilians must be unmarried and aged 16½ to 21 on 15 May 2027.

• Age for civilians: 16½ to 21 years on 15 May 2027, unmarried.
• Age for service candidates: 17 to 23 years on 15 May 2027, married or unmarried. This covers members of the armed forces in uniform only.
• Height: 5 feet 4 inches minimum. The FAQ says there is no height waiver and no age relaxation.
• Marks: at least 60% in both Matric and FSc, or O and A Level.
• Pre-medical students: can apply only if they pass additional Mathematics in FSc or A Level before 15 March 2027.
• O and A Level: an IBCC equivalence certificate is required.
• DAE holders: not eligible, according to the Navy's FAQ.

Still in second year? You can apply with at least 65% in FSc Part-I and a hope certificate from your college head. You must finish FSc before 15 May 2027. The Navy says a candidate who then falls below 60% is disqualified at any stage, even during training. Keep an eye on the HSSC result by roll number when it comes.

How to register on joinpaknavy.gov.pk

Open the site, press "Register Now" under PNCT 2027-A, and fill one form. You choose your branch, your selection centre, and your own test date and time. The Navy says the centre and date cannot be changed later.

1. Open joinpaknavy.gov.pk and press "Register Now" under Latest Advertisement, PNCT 2027-A.
2. Choose your branch, your PN Recruitment and Selection Centre, a test date and time, and civilian or service candidate.
3. Upload your picture. The form links a tool to shrink it to about 20 KB.
4. Enter your name, CNIC, father's name and CNIC, date of birth, height, domicile district, email, addresses, both mobile numbers and your education.
5. Read the affirmation, press "I Agree", submit, and save the provisional registration slip.

Two details on the form catch people out. Do not give a ported mobile number, one moved from one network to another. And the affirmation says you have no court conviction, no serious disease such as diabetes, hepatitis or blood pressure, and will give up any dual nationality if selected.

You can print the slip again later from "Registration Slips" on the site. The form also asks for your district of domicile, so have your domicile certificate at hand.

The computer-based entrance test

The first test is on a computer at the centre you chose. It has an intelligence part, verbal and non-verbal, and an academic part in English, Maths, Physics and General Knowledge. You pay the registration fee on the day of the test.

The Navy's published test pattern gives these weights:

• Intelligence test: verbal 60%, non-verbal 40%.
• Academic test for PN Cadet: English 40%, General Knowledge 20%, Maths 20%, Physics 20%.

English carries twice the weight of any other subject, so that is where extra practice pays. The Navy runs a free practice test at practicetest.joinpaknavy.gov.pk. Its FAQ says it publishes no official preparation book.

Bring these on test day, or you will not be allowed to sit it:

• Original certificates and detailed marks sheets of Matric and FSc, from your boards.
• For O and A Level, the IBCC equivalence certificate.
• Your CNIC or Juvenile Card.
• Three coloured photographs attested by a gazetted officer.
• The registration fee, which you pay there.

Physical test, ISSB and final selection

Shortlisted candidates face a preliminary medical, an interview and a physical test at their centre. Those who pass get the ISSB form. After ISSB come a medical at a military hospital and a final merit list by Naval Headquarters.

Naval Headquarters then calls candidates on merit to the Inter Services Selection Board at Kohat, Gujranwala, Malir or Quetta. The Navy says ISSB will not recall a candidate who fails to report. Exact dates and venues appear on the ISSB website.

ISSB-recommended candidates have a medical at an authorised Combined Military Hospital or PNS Shifa. Naval Headquarters makes the final selection in order of merit. The FAQ says the whole process, from registration to joining the Naval Academy, can take 6 to 7 months.

The two official sources differ on training length. The 2027-A criteria sheet says a permanent commission follows four years of basic training with a degree. The older FAQ says two years. We follow the criteria sheet, because it is the one issued for this intake.

Recommended by ISSB for the Army or PAF already? The FAQ says you can ask for your case to be considered for the Navy's final merit list. ISSB recommendation is valid for one year. Fake Navy recruitment sites and fee demands

Register only at joinpaknavy.gov.pk. The Navy says you pay the registration fee on the day of your entrance test, at the centre. So a person or website asking for money online to register or "confirm" a seat is not following the Navy's own process.

• The official site ends in .gov.pk. For announcements, the Navy's FAQ lists this website, its Facebook page "Pakistan Navy Recruitment Online" and the X account @pnrectt.
• The fee is paid on test day, not by transfer to anyone before it.
• No book is the Navy's official test book, according to its FAQ.
• No relaxation of age or marks is given, so nobody can arrange one for a fee.
