How to Check Your HSSC Result 2026 by Roll Number in Pakistan

Two things get you your HSSC result 2026: the roll number printed on your admit card, and your own board's website. Punjab's nine boards all show 10:00 on 23 September 2026 on their own pages. Open your board's address, type the roll number, submit. There is no login and no fee.

If the page will not load at 10:02, that is normal and it is not your phone.

We requested the site of every board in this article between 05:12 and 05:20 PKT on 23 September 2026, before the rush, and read the result notice on each one. What follows is what those pages say, including the one thing almost every result page on the internet gets wrong.

Your roll number and your own board's address are the whole system

Every board search needs one input: the roll number exactly as printed on the admit card. Your board is the one that issued that roll number. A Lahore roll number returns nothing on the Rawalpindi site, and the two pages look similar enough that people lose an hour.

Five steps, in order.

1. Take the roll number from the admit card itself, not from memory. A transposed digit is behind most of the "my result is missing" panic on announcement day.
2. Type your board's address into the browser bar. Do not click a search advertisement. Result morning is when the paid lookalikes bid hardest.
3. Choose the right examination: HSSC Part 2, or Intermediate Part 2, first annual 2026. The same roll number also exists in other sittings.
4. Enter the roll number, complete the security code if the page shows one, and submit.
5. Screenshot the result and save it. Portals go down again in the hours after a declaration.

Checking is free on every board in Pakistan. A page that asks you to register, pay, or hand over an OTP before showing marks is not a board.

Punjab boards carry the same 10:00 time on their own pages

Punjab declares together, and the nine boards announcing on 23 September did so to one schedule. We found 23 September 2026 at 10:00 AM stated on the boards' own sites for Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Sargodha, Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan and Lahore, and no board contradicted it. Bahawalpur had not posted its own notice when we looked.

Two addresses are worth noting before you type. Bahawalpur keeps its results on a separate domain, results.bisebwp.pk, with a different page for each examination. Rawalpindi runs its countdown on biserwp.edu.pk while its main site sits on biserawalpindi.edu.pk. We have seen both boards break in smaller ways before, and the address quirks we found when we tested the Punjab board result sites in August were still there this morning.

BISE Lahore has changed since then. Its main address now serves a stripped result page for Intermediate Part 2 that reads the time from the server rather than your phone clock, and it accepts a roll_number parameter in the address. The older result.biselahore.com returned a 404 for us at 05:12, although the board's own home page still links to it.

Boards outside Punjab run on their own timetable, and three have already declared

The rest of Pakistan does not announce today. Peshawar, the Federal Board and AJK Mirpur have already released the HSSC Part 2 first annual 2026 result. Karachi, Hyderabad and the other Sindh boards had published no 2026 intermediate date on their sites when we checked.

Hyderabad deserves a warning of its own. The address only answered for us when certificate checking was switched off, which means an ordinary browser shows a full page security warning instead of the board. That is a configuration fault at the board, not an attack on you, and we would still not encourage clicking past a security warning. Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Kohat, Bannu and Swat did not resolve at all on the obvious addresses, so take those from your own college rather than from a list.

No board site we read this morning publishes an SMS code

This is the part we expected to write differently. We searched the home pages, result pages and FAQ pages of fifteen board sites for an SMS short code and message format. We found none. Not one board publishes a result SMS service on its own website today.

Codes are circulating anyway. Every one we traced led back to a coaching site or a result aggregator, never to a board notification. A wrong web address wastes a minute. A wrong short code can charge you, and on a day when millions of students are typing codes into their phones, that is worth somebody's while.

So the rule for today is narrow. If your board announces a code in its own press note or on its own page, use that code. If the only source you can find is a blog, skip it and use the website or the gazette. Our earlier work on checking board results online in Pakistan reached the same conclusion in August, and nothing on the boards' sites has changed it.

Two boards let you search by candidate name

Name search is rare and it is not a Punjab feature. Two official portals offer it. The Federal Board result page carries a student name field alongside roll number and registration number. Bahawalpur's HSSC Part 2 page offers a search by candidate name as well as by roll number or B-Form.

Everywhere else, the roll number is the only key. Sites advertising result by name for Punjab boards are unofficial mirrors copying board data late, and sometimes copying it wrong. If you genuinely do not have the roll number, the gazette is the legitimate route: most boards publish the full result as one downloadable file, listed by roll number and name.

The first minutes after 10:00 are the worst minutes to open a board site

Every board site slows or fails in the first stretch after a declaration, because an entire province loads the same page at once. We cannot give you a magic minute. What we can tell you is what actually happens and what works while it is happening.

The crush is real and it is brief. Timeouts, half loaded pages and security codes that will not submit are the normal symptoms, and they clear as the first wave finishes. Refreshing hard every few seconds makes your own queue position worse, not better.

Four things that help, in rough order of usefulness. Wait out the first wave and try again after ten or fifteen minutes. Download the gazette if your board has posted one, because a single file serves a whole street. Ask your college, which receives the institution level result and can read out a roll number without touching the public site. And if your board runs an app or a separate results subdomain, that often sits on different infrastructure from the main site.

A site that is down behaves differently from a result not yet uploaded

The two look identical to a frightened student and they are not the same problem. A site that is down fails before you see the search form. A result not yet uploaded fails after it, with the form working normally and your roll number returning nothing.

Work through it in this order. First, check that the page itself opens for other examinations, which tells you the server is alive. Second, confirm the declaration time has actually passed for your board, because eight of the nine Punjab boards say 10:00 and none of them mean 09:55. Third, try the address without www, then with it. Fourth, try again in ten minutes before concluding anything.

A roll number that returns nothing an hour after the declaration is worth raising with your college, not with a Facebook page. Result cancellation, a withheld result and an unpaid fee all present the same way on a public portal, and only the board can tell you which one it is.

The screen result is provisional and the printed card comes later

The web result shows your roll number, name, subject marks, total and grade. It is provisional. The document that counts for admissions is the result card, and boards publish separate download routes for regular and private candidates, which is a common reason a search returns nothing.

Sargodha's press note sets out the mechanics plainly. Regular candidates get A4 result cards through their institution's own login on the board site, private candidates get theirs directly, and the board gives a window running to 4 October 2026. Other Punjab boards follow the same shape, with the paper card reaching colleges in the weeks after.

Rechecking runs on a clock that starts today. Multan's press release of 21 September states the rule for its own candidates: apply online within 15 days of the result being published, pay the prescribed fee, and submit a copy of the application to the board. Fees and windows differ by board, so take both from your own board's announcement rather than from any table you find online, including ours.

The result is not the last deadline this month

Admission season opens on the back of these marks and moves faster than most students expect. If today went badly, the honest first step is to separate the paperwork deadlines from the feelings, because the deadlines will not wait for the feelings to settle.

Students carrying exam result pressure today should know that the second annual sitting exists, that rechecking exists, and that neither closes this week. Both give you a real second date to work towards, which is more useful right now than any reassurance we could write.

For everyone else, the next items are practical. Candidates with a foreign qualification need an IBCC equivalence certificate before most Pakistani universities will process them. Medical and dental applicants are working to the MDCAT 2026 registration deadline. And the wider university admission calendar sets out when the main intakes open, which matters more than the result itself once the marks are in hand.
