Pak Navy SSC Course 2027-A and M Cadet 12th Batch registration runs 1 to 22 November 2026. See every branch, age limit, the PET standards and who cannot apply.

Pakistan Navy has opened online registration for Short Service Commission (SSC) Course 2027-A and the M Cadet Scheme 12th Batch, from 1 to 22 November 2026, on joinpaknavy.gov.pk. SSC takes graduates, doctors, engineers, lawyers and MS or MPhil holders straight into officer branches. M Cadet takes MBBS students in their fourth or fifth year and pays them a monthly stipend while they finish.
The advertisement went up on the Navy's recruitment site on 2 November 2026, with selection criteria files dated 30 October. We read both criteria files and the advertisement on 2 November. Below is every branch, the age limit for each, the physical test you must pass, and who is ruled out before they even apply.
Registration runs from 1 to 22 November 2026
You register online only, between 1 and 22 November 2026, at joinpaknavy.gov.pk. Applications posted to Naval Headquarters are not accepted. Age is counted on 1 July 2027 for both SSC 2027-A and the M Cadet 12th Batch, so check your birth date against that day.
Pick SSC or M Cadet under "Careers in Pakistan Navy", choose your branch, then your test centre. The form is the same one used for PN Cadet registration, so the fields will look familiar if you tried that entry.

SSC 2027-A covers 10 branches, most for men only
SSC 2027-A lists Operations, Mechanical Engineering, Supply, Weapon Engineering, Ordnance, Medical, Instructor, Naval Law, Information Technology and Special Branch. Special Branch also covers Pharmacist, Healthcare Support Officer and Speech Therapist. Women can apply only for most medical specialist posts and those three.
Operations has three streams: Marines, SSG(N), the Navy's special service group, and Aviation. Marines and SSG(N) need FSc or A Level with Physics and Maths at 60 per cent, or 16 years of education at 60 per cent or a 2.5 CGPA. Aviation needs 65 per cent in FSc Pre-Engineering and a flying aptitude test.
Engineering branches want a BE with a 2.5 CGPA or 60 per cent. Weapon Engineering takes Electrical and Electronics graduates, and its Aviation stream asks for a 3.0 CGPA in Avionics, Electrical or Electronics. Supply takes MBA, BBA (Hons), M.Com, MSc Economics or B.Com with 16 years of education.
Information Technology accepts BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence. The degree must be accredited by NCEAC or PEC. Age is up to 27.
In the Medical branch, General Duty Medical Officers (GDMOs) need MBBS, PM&DC registration and a one year house job, with age up to 30. FCPS holders can apply in 31 specialties, from Cardiology to Burns, and are posted in Karachi or Islamabad.
M Cadet pays MBBS students Rs 35,290 a month
The M Cadet 12th Batch is for students in the 4th or 5th year of MBBS on 1 July 2027 at a government or special medical college recognised by PMDC. You must have passed every earlier year in the first attempt with at least 50 per cent. You must be unmarried and no older than 26.
Selected cadets receive a stipend of Rs 35,290 a month while they study. After commissioning, the Navy repays the fees already spent on the years completed before joining, up to Rs 222,996 a year.
The catch is the bond. Selected cadets sign to serve at least 7 years from the end of basic training. A cadet found unsuitable for commission on medical or other grounds must still serve 7 years as a civilian medical practitioner. After MBBS, cadets do basic training at the Pakistan Naval Academy and a house job at PNS SHIFA.

You must pass a 1 mile run in 8 minutes 30 seconds
Every SSC candidate who clears the computer test takes the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) at the recruitment centre. It has four parts. Fail one and you go no further. Practise for two weeks before your date.
| PET item | Requirement | Time allowed |
|---|---|---|
| Running | One mile (1.6 km) | 8 minutes 30 seconds |
| Push-ups | 10 | 2 minutes |
| Sit-ups | 10 | 2 minutes |
| Chin-ups | 2 | 2 minutes |
Minimum height is 5 feet 4 inches for men and 5 feet for women. Weight is judged by Body Mass Index. The criteria advise getting your ears and teeth cleaned by a doctor before the medical, which sounds minor but trips people up.
Selection moves from test to ISSB to the Navy board
The order is the same for most branches: computer test, preliminary medical, PET and interview, then ISSB, detailed medical, PN Selection Board, and final merit. Medical branch candidates skip ISSB and take a personality test at their recruitment centre instead.
- Register on joinpaknavy.gov.pk between 1 and 22 November 2026 and pick a test centre.
- Download your registration slip by CNIC and take the computer based test: an intelligence test and an academic test.
- If shortlisted, sit the preliminary medical, PET and interview at the recruitment centre.
- Collect the application form, which is issued only after you clear those stages.
- Appear at ISSB (Medical branch: personality test at the centre), then the detailed medical at a CMH or PNS SHIFA.
- Face the PN Selection Board. Naval Headquarters makes the final selection in merit order.
ISSB itself is a four day assessment, and its schedule and centres decide where you travel. Your Navy registration slip and result come from the same site, by CNIC and roll number.

Some candidates are ineligible before they apply
The criteria rule out anyone permanently declared unfit by an Appeal Medical Board, anyone unfit for Hepatitis B or C, and anyone dismissed from government service. Repeated ISSB rejections also bar you, so count your past attempts honestly before you register.
It also excludes anyone tested at ISSB within 120 days of a previous attempt, anyone twice screened out by ISSB, and anyone withdrawn from an armed forces academy. Forged documents bar you from every type of commission for good.
Test centres are in 18 cities: Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Gilgit, Gwadar, Hyderabad, Karachi, Kharian, Lahore, Multan, Muzaffarabad, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Rahim Yar Khan, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sialkot, Swat and Sukkur. The Navy is also running a separate drive for civilian posts on the Balochistan quota.
The advertisement names only joinpaknavy.gov.pk, the X account @pnrectt and the Facebook page Pakistan Navy Recruitment Online. Treat anything else that asks for money as a fake job offer.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 2 November 2026. We read the advertisement image and the two criteria files on the Pakistan Navy recruitment site: the SSC 27-A selection criteria and the M Cadet criteria for the 12th Batch, both dated 30 October 2026, and the ISSB ineligibility rules that apply at the board stage. We could not confirm the exact number of seats in each branch, since neither file gives one. Some age limits in the scanned SSC file sit on lines that are hard to match to a branch, so for Special Branch posts we give the range of 27 to 35 and you should confirm yours in the file before applying.
