You can pay a K-Electric bill online on ke.com.pk or the KE Live app with a debit or credit card or a bank account, or through the internet and mobile banking of 25 banks and the 1Bill service, using the 13 digit account number on your bill. The same number works at those banks' branches and ATMs. Below is K-Electric's own list of banks, what each one supports, and what to do if a payment does not show.

Paying late in Karachi costs real money. K-Electric adds 5% if you pay within three days after the due date and 10% after that. We read K-Electric's Digital Bills and Payments page, its Know Your Bill page and its FAQ index on 25 October 2026, so the list here is the company's, not a guess.

K-Electric takes cards, bank accounts and 1Bill

K-Electric's payments page lists three ways to pay digitally: directly on its site or app with a bank account, debit card or credit card; through a bank's internet or mobile banking; and at bank branches or ATMs. Every route needs the 13 digit account number.

The account number is the reference K-Electric's payments page asks for. A bill also carries other numbers, and a payment typed against the wrong one can fail or go astray. Finding the right number on an old bill is covered in K-Electric bill check online.

K-Electric lists 25 banks and 1Bill

K-Electric's page names 25 banks and microfinance banks, plus 1LINK's 1Bill service. All of them support both internet and mobile banking except First Women Bank, which K-Electric marks for internet banking only.

Two names are missing that many readers will look for: MCB and HBL's main app. K-Electric lists MCB Islamic and Konnect by HBL, not the parent banks' apps. That does not mean those apps refuse the bill. It means K-Electric has not listed them, so check the paid stamp afterwards.

Wallet apps are not on K-Electric's list

K-Electric's payments page does not name JazzCash, Easypaisa or any other mobile wallet. If you pay through a wallet's electricity menu or its 1Bill option, keep the receipt and confirm the payment reached K-Electric before the due date.

That caution is about proof, not about the wallets themselves. A wallet receipt shows the money left your account. Only K-Electric's record shows the bill is paid. The general steps for wallet bill payments are in paying utility bills with Easypaisa or JazzCash.

K-Electric's FAQ index also has headings for buy now, pay later through the Alfa payment gateway, instalments through Baadmay, advance payments and a 10% cashback campaign with RAQMI. We could open the headings but not the answers, so we cannot give their terms. Official instalments for a large bill are explained in paying an electricity bill in instalments.

K-Electric bill payment: 25 banks and 1Bill accept the 13 digit account number

Pay before the due date to avoid the 5% and 10% surcharge

K-Electric charges a 5% late payment surcharge if you pay within three days after the due date, and 10% after that grace period. The surcharge is worked out on the billed amount, not on government taxes and duties.

Pay with this order so nothing slips:

  1. Copy the 13 digit account number from the top of your bill.
  2. Open your bank app, the KE Live app or ke.com.pk.
  3. Choose K-Electric, or 1Bill, and enter the number.
  4. Check the name and amount the app shows, then pay.
  5. Save the transaction ID and check the payment a day later.

On a bill worth Rs 10,000 before taxes, paying one day late adds Rs 500. Paying a week late adds Rs 1,000. Both figures are our arithmetic from K-Electric's two rates. How the surcharge appears on the bill is in reading your K-Electric bill.

A missing payment is fixed with the transaction ID

If the next bill shows your payment as arrears, send K-Electric the transaction ID, date and amount on WhatsApp at 0348-0000118, or call 118. Do not pay twice while the first payment is being traced.

K-Electric's FAQ has a section on the payment stamp on e-bills, and what the stamp's colour means is set out in checking the paid stamp on a K-Electric bill explains. If K-Electric does not resolve a payment dispute, the escalation route is in filing a K-Electric complaint.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read K-Electric's Digital Bills and Payments page on 25 October 2026 for the payment routes and the bank table, including the one cross against First Women Bank's mobile banking. We read K-Electric's Know Your Bill page the same day for the 5% and 10% surcharge rule, and the FAQ index for the instalment and cashback headings. We could not open the FAQ answers, so we have not given terms for buy now, pay later, Baadmay, advance payments or cashback. We did not make a test payment. The Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 examples are our arithmetic.
