K-Electric Defaulters List 2026: Check Your Contract Number Among 190,681 Non-Payers in Karachi
K-Electric's non-payers list has 190,681 contract numbers owing about Rs 134 billion. Find the PDF, search your contract number and see what to do if listed.

K-Electric's defaulters list is a PDF called "Non-Payers of Last three years", linked from KE's Load-Shed / Maintenance Schedule page, and you check it by searching for your 8 digit contract number. We counted 190,681 contract numbers in it, owing about Rs 134 billion between them.
People usually look for this list after a disconnection notice, before buying or renting a property, or when a whole street gets long load shedding. The list shows only a contract number, the KE office area, the amount owed and how many times KE tried to disconnect. No names or addresses are printed.
The list has four columns and no names
Each row gives a contract number, the IBC name, the outstanding dues in rupees and the number of disconnection attempts. IBC means Integrated Business Centre, KE's area office. The file was uploaded on 6 July 2026 and covers non-payers of the last three years.
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Contract Number | An 8 digit number for the connection, starting with 30, 31, 32, 33 or 34 in this list |
| IBC Name | The KE area office, such as Liyar-II, Malir, Surjani-II or Orangi-I |
| Outstanding Dues | The unpaid amount in rupees, from Rs 10,002 up to more than Rs 314 million |
| Disconnection Attempts | How many times KE tried to cut the supply, from 1 to more than 40 |
Because there are no names, the list cannot tell a buyer who owes the money. It only tells you whether a connection with a given contract number is on it.

Search the PDF for your contract number
The file is long, so do not scroll. Open it and use the search box. On a computer press Ctrl and F; on a phone, open the PDF in a reader app and tap the search icon. Type the contract number without spaces.
- Open ke.com.pk and go to Load-Shed / Maintenance Schedule under Customer Service.
- Tap Download next to "List of Non-Payers for the Last Three Years".
- Open the PDF and search for your 8 digit contract number.
- If it appears, note the IBC name, dues and attempts shown on that row.
- Call 118 or visit the IBC named in the row to confirm the amount before you pay.
We could not confirm on KE's website where the 8 digit contract number is printed on a KE bill. KE's bill pages refer to a 13 digit account number. If you cannot find an 8 digit number on your bill, ask 118 for the contract number of your connection.

Most listed connections owe more than Rs 100,000
The list starts at Rs 10,002 of unpaid dues, so small late bills are not on it. By our count, 155,820 connections owe Rs 100,000 or more, and 46,384 of those owe at least Rs 1 million. The middle amount is about Rs 486,600.
| Amount owed | Connections |
|---|---|
| Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 | 14,603 |
| Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000 | 19,792 |
| Rs 100,000 to Rs 1 million | 109,436 |
| Rs 1 million and above | 46,384 |
These counts come from the 190,215 rows we could read in full. About 466 contract numbers sit on rows that broke during text extraction and are not in the amount table.

Lyari, Malir, Surjani and Orangi have the most listed connections
Liyar-II has the most listed connections, 20,552, owing about Rs 20.4 billion. Malir, Surjani-II and Orangi-I follow with more than 12,800 each. These are the same parts of Karachi where many feeders still face long load shedding.
| KE office (IBC) | Listed connections | Dues, about |
|---|---|---|
| Liyar-II | 20,552 | Rs 20.4 billion |
| Malir | 13,216 | Rs 5.6 billion |
| Surjani-II | 13,082 | Rs 7.0 billion |
| Orangi-I | 12,878 | Rs 9.4 billion |
| Gadap | 10,823 | Rs 4.3 billion |
| Baldia | 8,994 | Rs 6.7 billion |
| North Karachi | 8,519 | Rs 7.9 billion |
| New Karachi | 7,975 | Rs 8.1 billion |
The link to load shedding is direct. KE sets cuts feeder by feeder from theft and unpaid bills, so a street full of large unpaid accounts stays in a high loss group. The areas that recently escaped that group are listed under K-Electric loadshed exempt areas, and the current cut timings are in the K-Electric load shedding schedule from 23 October.
If your connection is listed, confirm the amount, then settle it
Confirm the figure with KE first, because the list is a July snapshot and a payment since then will not show. If the dues are right, pay through KE's own channels or ask for instalments. If they are wrong, file a complaint and keep the receipt.
Old dues often belong to a previous tenant or owner. The rules on who pays in that case are in who pays a tenant's unpaid electricity bill. KE must also follow NEPRA's notice rules before cutting supply, set out in the 7 day notice rule, and splitting a large amount is covered in paying an electricity bill in instalments.
Pay only through KE's bank, app and 1Bill channels, all listed in K-Electric bill payment online. Nobody can take your contract number off the list for a fee. A caller who offers that is running a scam.
Common questions
Where is the K-Electric defaulters list?
It is on KE's Load-Shed / Maintenance Schedule page on ke.com.pk, under the name "List of Non-Payers for the Last Three Years", as a PDF.
Can I search the KE defaulters list by name or CNIC?
No. The list prints only contract numbers, KE office areas, dues and disconnection attempts. Search it by contract number.
What is the smallest amount on the list?
The lowest dues we found were Rs 10,002. Connections owing less than about Rs 10,000 do not appear.
How old is the list?
KE's server dates the file 6 July 2026. Payments made after that will not show, so confirm with 118.
Does being on the list mean my power will be cut?
The list shows KE has already tried to disconnect at least once. KE must still follow NEPRA's notice rules, so pay or dispute the amount quickly.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 28 October 2026. We read KE's Load-Shed / Maintenance Schedule page and downloaded the Non-Payers List linked there, which KE's server dates 6 July 2026. Every count, total, band and office figure here is our own, made from the text of that PDF: 190,681 distinct contract numbers, of which 190,215 rows were read in full with dues totalling Rs 133.97 billion. We did not search for any individual's connection, and we could not confirm on KE's site where the 8 digit contract number appears on a bill.
