K-Electric runs 22 Customer Experience Centres, 23 mobile service vans and 42 Customer Facilitation Centres across Karachi, open Monday to Thursday from 9 am to 5:30 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm with a 1 pm to 3 pm prayer break, and Saturday 9 am to 12:30 pm. Below is the address list K-Electric publishes, sorted by area, plus the phone, WhatsApp and SMS routes that save you the trip.

Most visits are for the same few jobs: a name change, a disputed bill, a new connection or a meter that stopped. Some of these need papers on a counter. Many do not. We read K-Electric's contact page, its Know Your Bill page and its tariff page on 25 October 2026, and the list below is copied from the contact page as it stood that day.

K-Electric centres open six days a week, with a long Friday break

All K-Electric Customer Experience Centres keep the same hours: 9 am to 5:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm on Friday with a break from 1 pm to 3 pm, and 9 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday. The page lists no Sunday hours.

DayOpenBreak
Monday to Thursday9:00 am to 5:30 pmNone listed
Friday9:00 am to 5:00 pm1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Saturday9:00 am to 12:30 pmNone listed

Saturday is short. If your job needs a supervisor's signature, a weekday morning is the safer bet, and Friday between 1 pm and 3 pm is a wasted journey.

K-Electric lists centres from Surjani to Hub and Dhabeji

K-Electric's contact page lists its centres by address, from Surjani and Orangi in the north and west to Korangi, Landhi and Bin Qasim in the east, plus Hub, Gaddani and Dhabeji outside the city. Pick the one nearest your meter, not your office.

The page does not mark which address is a Customer Experience Centre and which is a smaller Facilitation Centre, so we have not labelled them. These are the addresses in the main residential and business areas, as K-Electric writes them:

The full list on the page runs to about 60 addresses and also covers Lyari, Machar Colony, Shah Town, Memon Goth, Gadap, Gaddani and Dhabeji. If none of these is close, the 23 mobile vans visit neighbourhoods on a rota, but the page does not publish that rota.

Most jobs do not need a counter visit

A duplicate bill, a complaint, a load shedding check or an income tax certificate can all be done on WhatsApp at 0348-0000118, by SMS to 8119, or in the KE Live app. Go to a centre only when K-Electric needs your original papers or a signature.

K-Electric's contact page says its WhatsApp service is bilingual and runs 24 hours. Send "Hi" and choose from the menu. These are the routes it lists:

RouteNumber or addressWhat it does
Call centre118 or 99000Complaints, emergencies such as sparking or broken wires
WhatsApp0348-0000118Duplicate bill, complaints, power status, income tax certificate
SMS8119Bill amount, load shedding schedule, technical complaint
Emailcustomer.care@ke.com.pkBilling and new connection queries
Net metering emailnet.metering@ke.com.pkSolar net metering queries
KE Live appAndroid and iPhoneView and pay bills, track complaints, apply for a connection

The SMS route needs one setup message. Text REG and your 13 digit account number to 8119, for example REG 0400012345678. After that, BILL, LS and COMP to 8119 give you the bill, the load shedding schedule and a complaint. Bill lookups by number are explained in K-Electric bill check online.

K-Electric contact routes: 118, WhatsApp 0348-0000118, SMS 8119 and the KE Live app

Take these papers when a visit is needed

Carry the latest bill, your original CNIC and a copy, and any paper the job itself needs, such as a sale deed for a name change. Without the 13 digit account number from the bill, staff have to search for your account by address, which takes longer.

Follow these steps so one visit is enough:

  1. Note your 13 digit account number from the top of any old bill.
  2. Check whether WhatsApp or the app can do the job first.
  3. Pick the centre nearest the meter address from the list above.
  4. Go on a weekday morning, avoiding Friday 1 pm to 3 pm.
  5. Ask for a complaint or application number before you leave.

Some jobs have their own rules. A new meter follows applying for a K-Electric connection, and solar export applications follow K-Electric net billing for solar. A CNIC update to avoid the 7.5% advance tax can be sent online, as updating your CNIC on K-Electric shows.

K-Electric's head office is in DHA Phase II

The registered office is KE House, 39-B, Sunset Boulevard, Phase II, Defence Housing Authority, Karachi, on 021-3263 7133 and 021-3870 9132. It is a corporate office. Bill and connection problems go to a customer centre or 118 first.

If a centre cannot fix a complaint, keep the number it gave you. That number is what NEPRA asks for when you escalate, and the steps are in filing a K-Electric complaint.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

We read K-Electric's contact page on 25 October 2026 for the centre count, timings, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp features and SMS commands. We also read its tariff structure page the same day for the 7.5% advance tax rule. The page lists addresses without saying which are Experience Centres and which are Facilitation Centres, and it does not publish the mobile van rota, so we could not give either. We did not visit a centre or test the hours in person.
