Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rescue 1122 has 800 regular posts open: 350 Emergency Medical Technicians, 175 Fire Rescuers and 275 Drivers. The last date to apply is 15 October 2026. You apply online through ETEA, the age limit is 22 to 35, and you need a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa domicile.
We opened the Latest Advertisements list on the website of the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) on the evening of 7 October 2026. Project 839, Rescue 1122, shows 15 October 2026 as its last date. We downloaded the advertisement and the paper composition file from ETEA's site and read both.
Rescue 1122 KP is hiring 800 people in three posts
The advertisement lists three regular posts: Emergency Medical Technician on BPS-12 with 350 seats, Fire Rescuer on BPS-11 with 175 seats and Driver on BPS-06 with 275 seats. Together that is 800 posts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The service says it wants people willing to work in any district of the province. Women and minorities are specially encouraged to apply. Seats are split into merit, six zones, a minority quota and, for two posts, a women's quota.

The advertisement does not print a salary. A pay scale tells you the grade, but the monthly figure changes with allowances, so we do not quote one.
Qualification and age for each post
Emergency Medical Technicians need a Paramedical Diploma, Nursing or an LHV qualification. Fire Rescuers need F.Sc Pre-Engineering or a Diploma of Associate Engineer. Drivers need Middle pass and a valid heavy or light transport licence. The age range for all three is 22 to 35.
For the Emergency Medical Technician post, preference goes to candidates with a Diploma in Health and Surgical Technology. Age relaxation follows the existing government rules, according to the advertisement. It does not list the years.
Two rules decide many rejections. Diplomas from boards or councils that the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned will not be counted. And for Drivers, only a valid licence issued by the Government of Pakistan is accepted. A fresh "apply token" for a licence does not count. Get your licence first, then apply.
If your degree is foreign, you must provide an HEC equivalence certificate. Everyone must be eligible in every respect on the closing date.
How the seats are divided by zone and quota
Each post has a merit pool, six zones, a minority quota and a women's quota for two of the posts. The Emergency Medical Technician post has 60 merit seats, 18 minority seats and 35 for women. The zone wise lists are on ETEA's site and on the Rescue 1122 KP site.
Zones matter because your district falls in one of the six zones. The same advertisement tells you the full district breakup is on ETEA's website and on rescuekp.gov.pk. We opened rescuekp.gov.pk and it loads, but we did not find the breakup in the time we had, so check there.

The physical test and how marks are counted
Every candidate faces a physical test. Men at least 5 feet 6 inches tall with a 33 inch chest must run one mile in 7 minutes. Women at least 5 feet 2 inches tall get 9 minutes. Candidates aged 40 and above also get 9 minutes.
The final score adds three parts. Education counts for 70 marks, the ETEA test for 20 marks and the interview for 10 marks. You must score at least 40 per cent in the screening test and the interview to pass.
ETEA's paper composition file shows what the test covers. The Emergency Medical Technician paper is 50 per cent health diploma subjects, 20 per cent emergency and disaster management, 20 per cent English and 10 per cent general knowledge. The Fire Rescuer paper is 40 per cent fire rescue and emergency subjects, 20 per cent English, 20 per cent basic maths, 10 per cent general knowledge and 10 per cent Pakistan Studies. The Driver paper is 50 per cent general knowledge and humanities and 50 per cent traffic rules and procedure, followed by a driving skill test for candidates who pass the computer based test.
Selected candidates take a medical exam at the Police and Services Hospital in Peshawar. They then go through six months of training and must pass all required exams. Police clearance is needed before an offer, and a surety bond on stamp paper is due after.

Apply on ETEA's website before 15 October 2026. Make a profile, pay the fee shown for your post and submit. The advertisement says online applications run from 15 September to 15 October 2026. Send no papers to ETEA with your application.
- Open the ETEA website and find "Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue 1122) - 2026", project code 839, in the Latest Advertisements list.
- Create a profile with your CNIC. ETEA's other advertisements this month say you must print an E-Sahulat token and get your CNIC verified at a NADRA E-Sahulat franchise before you can pay a fee. Plan for that, as NADRA E-Sahulat franchise services explains.
- Choose the post and fill in your education, domicile and zone details.
- Pay the test fee shown on the portal, then keep the stamped deposit slip.
- Wait for the SMS from ETEA, then download your roll number slip.
This advertisement does not print a fee. The fee shows on ETEA's portal after sign in, which we did not do. Apply separately and pay separately for each post. Serving government staff must apply through proper channel with a no objection certificate. Get your domicile certificate ready, because the zone depends on it.
