An hourglass and a pencil on a desk, for the revised KPPSC test schedule

KPPSC has revised its computer based ability test (CBT) schedule: tests now run from 17 to 28 November 2026, every morning paper starts an hour earlier at 10:00 am, and the Assistant Public Prosecutor test moves to Saturday 28 November in three sessions. Two more tests are split into two sessions. If you have one of the 18 tests in this schedule, your time has probably changed.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission posted the revised schedule on its home page on 2 November 2026 at 10:45 am. We read it the same day and compared it line by line with the version KPPSC published in October. Here is what moved, and the full revised timetable.

Morning papers now start at 10:00 am, not 11:00 am

In the October version, morning candidates reported at 10:00 am and sat the paper from 11:00 to 11:45 am. In the revised schedule they report at 9:00 am and sit from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Evening papers are unchanged: report at 2:00 pm, paper from 3:00 to 3:45 pm.

That one hour matters if you are travelling to Peshawar on the morning of the test. Plan to reach the centre by 9:00 am. KPPSC's rule is that no candidate enters without the call letter and an original CNIC, and late arrival is your problem, not theirs.

KPPSC CBT morning paper moved from 11:00 am to 10:00 am in the revised November 2026 schedule

Assistant Public Prosecutor moves to 28 November in three sessions

The largest test, Assistant Public Prosecutor in the Home and Tribal Affairs Department, has 91 posts and 3,189 applicants. It was set for the evening of Friday 27 November. It now runs on Saturday 28 November in three sessions: 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

The schedule does not say which applicants go to which session. That will be on your call letter, so do not assume the morning slot. With 3,189 people and three sittings, roughly a thousand candidates sit each session if KPPSC splits them evenly, which is our estimate, not KPPSC's.

Two other tests are split into two sessions

Inspector Weights and Measures in the Labour Department (15 posts, 1,095 applicants) stays on Thursday 26 November but now has two morning sessions, at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Assistant Director (IT) in Elementary and Secondary Education (9 posts, 1,547 applicants) stays on Friday 27 November, now split into a 10:00 am and a 3:00 pm session.

These are the posts with the most applicants after the prosecutor test. Splitting them suggests KPPSC is fitting candidates into its computer labs, which the schedule says are subject to availability. Two small figures also changed: Assistant Statistician now shows 271 applicants instead of 272, and Assistant Director (MIS) in Agriculture shows 454 instead of 455.

All 18 tests have 45 multiple choice questions in 45 minutes. The revised schedule totals 188 posts and 11,487 applicants, against 11,489 in October.

KPPSC CBT November 2026: applicants for the four largest tests

The October schedule, with its original timings and the applicants per seat for each post, is in KPPSC computer based ability tests, 17 to 27 November. Treat its times as replaced by this revision.

Download the call letter and check your new time

KPPSC uploads CBT call letters on kppsc.gov.pk under E-Letters, CBT E Letters. The letter carries your own date, session and centre. Print it and bring your original CNIC, because a photocopy will not get you in.

  1. Open kppsc.gov.pk and go to E-Letters, then CBT E Letters.
  2. Find your post and enter your CNIC to open the call letter.
  3. Check the date, the session number and the reporting time against the revised table.
  4. Watch the KPPSC tutorial video for the computer test, which the schedule asks candidates to practise with.
  5. Leave your phone at home. Phones and gadgets can lead to disqualification.
Steps to download a KPPSC CBT call letter from kppsc.gov.pk

If no call letter, SMS or email reaches you, KPPSC asks you to confirm your status in person or on 091-9214131, 091-9213750 or 091-9213563, extensions 105 and 113. KPPSC treats phones in the hall seriously, and its penalties for cheating and mobile phones run from three years to a lifetime ban. Once you pass, the KPPSC merit marks decide your final rank.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked on 2 November 2026. We read the revised KPPSC CBT schedule, letter No. KPSC/EW/CB-II/600/Sch:18/2026 dated 27 October 2026 and listed on the KPPSC home page as new on 2 November at 10:45 am, and compared it with the October schedule PDF on the same site. The revised file calls itself the 18th schedule while the October file was headed 19th; we cannot say why. A few post names are cut off in the revised scan, so we took them from the October file, where the serial numbers match.
