KPPSC's computer based ability tests run from 17 to 27 November 2026 for 18 posts under Advertisements No. 2/2026 and 6/2026. Each test has 45 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and lasts 45 minutes. A morning test is at 11:00 am and an evening test at 3:00 pm, with reporting at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. The biggest single test is for 91 Assistant Public Prosecutor posts on Friday 27 November.

We read the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission (KPPSC) "19th Schedule of 2026" on the Commission's website on 22 October 2026. This guide turns the table into a day by day plan, adds the number of applicants per post, and lists what to carry.

The 18 tests cover 188 posts and 11,489 applicants

The schedule lists 18 posts, 188 vacancies in all and 11,489 applicants. Each day has one morning test and one evening test. There is no test on Saturday 21 or Sunday 22 November. The final tests are on Friday 27 November 2026.

The printed date of the schedule is 21 August 2026, which is odd for a test in November. We could not see when KPPSC uploaded it, so check the website for any later change.

Every test has 45 MCQs and runs for 45 minutes

The schedule says each test has 45 MCQs "as per prescribed qualification", which means the questions come from your subject. The morning test runs from 11:00 to 11:45 am and the evening test from 3:00 to 3:45 pm. Reporting time is 10:00 am for the morning and 2:00 pm for the evening.

The notice tells candidates to download the instructions video or tutorial from the KPPSC website and practise before the day. Do that. A computer test feels different from a paper, and the first time you use the screen should not be in the exam hall.

Some posts have far more applicants per seat than others

Divide applicants by posts and the pressure differs a lot. The Assistant Director (IT) in Elementary and Secondary Education has 1,547 applicants for 9 posts, about 172 per post. The Inspector Weight and Measures test has about 73 per post. The Assistant Public Prosecutor test has about 35 per post.

These ratios are our arithmetic from the printed table, and they count applicants for the test, not final selections. The single post tests are tighter still: the Accounts Officer in Mines has 538 applicants for one post.

Call letters and the original CNIC decide who enters

The notice says call letters will be uploaded on the KPPSC website. You must print yours and take it with your original computerised national identity card (CNIC). Without both, the notice says no candidate will be allowed into the test centre. A photocopy of the CNIC is not mentioned as acceptable.

Mobile phones, electronic gadgets and any helping material are strictly prohibited. The notice says carrying them may lead to disqualification. If you do not receive a message by website, SMS or email, you can confirm your status at the KPPSC office or by phone on 091-9214131, 091-9213750 or 091-9213563.

  1. Find your post and date in the table above.
  2. Watch the KPPSC tutorial video and practise on a computer.
  3. Download and print your call letter when it is uploaded.
  4. Pack your original CNIC and leave your phone and gadgets at home.
  5. Report at 10:00 am for a morning test or 2:00 pm for an evening test.

What happens after the ability test

The schedule covers only the test. For results, KPPSC publishes lists on its site, and the steps for looking up a result by CNIC are in the guide to searching KPPSC test results by CNIC. The usual next stage is an interview, and the interview marks split is in the page on KPPSC merit marks.

If you are new to the Commission's process, the steps for applying and tracking are in the guide to applying for KPPSC jobs online. The schedule is "subject to availability of IT labs", so the date or centre can still change.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 22 October 2026. We read the 19th Schedule of 2026 (Computer Based Ability Tests) on the KPPSC schedule page. Every date, time, post, vacancy count and applicant count comes from that document. The applicants per post are our own division. The document shows a printed date of 21 August 2026 and we could not see an upload date. We did not take a test and could not verify the venues. Confirm on the KPPSC website before you travel.
