KPPSC PMS Exam Centre and Optional Subject Change: Portal Open Until 31 October 2026, 5 PM (All 7 Centres)
KPPSC lets PMS 2026 candidates change their exam centre or optional subjects online until 5 pm on 31 October 2026. See all 7 centres and the steps to do it.

KPPSC has opened its online portal until 5:00 pm on Saturday 31 October 2026 for PMS candidates to change their written exam centre or their optional subjects. After that time, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Service Commission says, "no requests will be entertained". The window is for Advertisement No. 01/2026, the PMS Officer BPS-17 exam that now runs from 30 December 2026 to 16 January 2027.
You make the change yourself, in your online application or profile on the KPPSC portal. There is no form to post and no office to visit. We read the KPPSC public notice on kppsc.gov.pk on 27 October 2026. Below is what you can change, the seven centres, and the checks to make before you press save.
The portal stays open for changes until 31 October at 5:00 pm
The KPPSC public notice dated 20 October 2026 opens the online portal "upto 31.10.2026 (till 05:00 PM)" for two things only: changing the exam centre and changing optional subjects for the PMS written exam. Candidates must update their online application or profile by that time.
The notice was posted on the KPPSC home page on 23 October as "Notification: PMS Center and Optional Paper change". That left about eight days. If you read this on 31 October, do it before lunch, not at 4:55 pm, because a slow portal on the last afternoon is common on every commission's site.

You can pick any of the seven divisional headquarters
The PMS written exam is held at all seven divisional headquarters of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Abbottabad, Bannu, D.I. Khan, Kohat, Mardan, Peshawar and Swat. If you applied for a centre far from where you now live or work, this is your only chance to move it before the papers start.
- Abbottabad, for Hazara division
- Bannu, for Bannu division
- D.I. Khan, for Dera Ismail Khan division
- Kohat, for Kohat division
- Mardan, for Mardan division
- Peshawar, for Peshawar division
- Swat, for Malakand division
The exam lasts more than two weeks, with papers on most days from 30 December to 16 January. The revised timetable has up to 16 paper days, so a centre near home can save you many long trips or a hotel bill in mid-winter. Swat and Abbottabad can also be cold and foggy in early January, so think about the road as well as the distance.
Change optional subjects only after checking the paper dates
The optional papers run from 6 to 16 January 2027, with a morning and an evening session on each day. Before you swap a subject, check which day and session it falls on in the revised timetable, so that you do not end up with two of your papers clashing.
The full list of optional subjects by date is in our report on the KP PMS written exam dates from 30 December 2026. For example, Political Science, Forestry and Agriculture share 7 January, and Physics, Geology, Geography, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology share 12 January.
A late change of subject also means less time to prepare. You have about nine weeks from 31 October to the first optional paper on 6 January. Change only if your new subject is genuinely stronger, not because somebody on a WhatsApp group called it scoring.

Make the change in five steps on the KPPSC portal
The notice says candidates should "update the relevant information in their online application forms/profiles through the KPPSC online portal". KPPSC accounts are opened with your CNIC, so sign in with the same CNIC and password you used to apply in early 2026.
- Open kppsc.gov.pk and go to the online application portal.
- Sign in with your CNIC and password. If you forgot the password, reset it now, not on 31 October.
- Open your application for PMS Officer, Advertisement No. 01/2026.
- Change the exam centre, the optional subjects, or both, and save.
- Open the application again to confirm the change, and take a screenshot or print it.
We did not sign in to an account, so we cannot show you the exact button names. If the portal does not let you edit after 31 October, KPPSC's notice is clear that it will not accept requests by phone or letter. The KPPSC online application steps show how the profile is set up.
Call letters will show the centre you leave on 31 October
Whatever is saved in your application at 5:00 pm on 31 October is what KPPSC will use. Call letters for PMS are uploaded about 15 days before the first paper, which points to around 15 December 2026, and they carry your centre and roll number.
If the call letter shows the wrong centre, keep your screenshot of the saved change and contact KPPSC at once. The Commission's phone numbers on its exam notices are 091-9212976, 9214131, 9213750 and 9213563. On test day, a phone in the hall can lead to a ban, and the KPPSC cheating rules apply to every PMS paper.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the KPPSC public notice on PMS centre and optional paper change, dated 20 October 2026, and the KPPSC home page at kppsc.gov.pk, where it was listed on 23 October, on 27 October 2026. We did not sign in to a candidate account, so the portal steps are based on the notice and KPPSC's CNIC based accounts, not on a test. We could not confirm whether the portal shows a confirmation message after a change.
