Download your call letter and check your centre a day early
Call letters are on kppsc.gov.pk under the E-Letters menu, item 4, PMS Written Exam. The schedule says letters go up 15 days before the exam, and the Commission listed them as released on 29 September 2026.
- Open kppsc.gov.pk and go to E-Letters, then PMS Written Exam.
- Search with your CNIC and download the call letter, which also serves as your roll number slip.
- Print it. A screenshot on your phone will not help, because phones are banned in the hall.
- Get one recent passport size photo attested.
- One day before 14 October, confirm your roll number and centre address, as the schedule asks every candidate to do.
If your name does not come up, do not wait for exam morning. The schedule tells candidates who got no intimation by website, SMS or email to call the Commission on 091-9212976, 091-9214131, 091-9213750 or 091-9213563, extensions 105 and 113, or visit the office on Fort Road, Peshawar Cantt. The common reasons a search returns nothing are covered in checking a KPPSC letter by CNIC.

Three items decide whether you get into the hall
You need the printed call letter, your original CNIC and one attested passport size photo. Without the call letter and the original CNIC, the schedule says no candidate will be let in.
Timing is strict too. Candidates must reach the centre within 30 minutes of the reporting time, after which the main gate closes.
Leave your phone at home or with someone outside. The schedule says carrying a mobile phone, any electronic gadget or other helping material into the hall is strictly prohibited and may lead to disqualification. A smartwatch counts as a gadget.
One more line in the notice deserves attention. Candidates are admitted provisionally. If you turn out not to meet the eligibility rules in Advertisement 01/2026, your candidature can be cancelled at any stage, even after you pass.
How the PMS written exam is marked
The written part carries 1,200 marks: 600 for the compulsory papers and 600 for three optional subjects. To reach the interview you need 40% in each compulsory paper, 33% in each optional and 50% overall in the written part.
The compulsory papers are English Precis and Composition (100), English Essay (100), General Knowledge in three papers of 100 each, and Islamiat (100). Non-Muslim candidates may take Pakistan Affairs at 200 marks instead of Islamiat. The viva voce carries another 300 marks, and you must score at least 40% in it, or 120 marks, to make the merit list.

Language matters on the answer sheet. The syllabus says language papers are answered in that language, Islamiat in Urdu or English, and every other paper in English. A paper written in the wrong language gets zero.
There is also a rule about attempts. Under the advertisement, a candidate who is absent from the whole written exam keeps the chance. But a candidate who sits even one paper is treated as having used it. For 2025 and 2026 the upper age limit was raised to 35 and the number of chances to four, as a one-time relaxation, so this attempt still counts.
After the written part, the Commission holds a psychological and aptitude test, and only candidates who take it are called for interview. The 35 posts are split by merit, zones and quotas, with 3 seats for women, 1 for disabled candidates and 2 for minorities.

If you are also preparing for exams in other provinces, Punjab has changed its pattern for the next round, set out in the revised PPSC CCE syllabus for 2027.
