In all, 69 index shares fell and took away 1,083.87 points. Thirty rose and added 299.62. One share did not move. The portal data does not tell us why traders sold, so we make no claim about the cause. A Friday fall after a strong four-day run is common on most exchanges, but that is context, not an explanation.
Engro Fertilizers and Pakistan Oilfields added the most points
Engro Fertilizers rose 1.26% to Rs 194.99 and added 51.93 points, the best contribution on 30 October. Pakistan Oilfields rose 1.58% to Rs 667.04 and added 48.18. Meezan Bank, up 0.48% to Rs 528.61, added 40.82.

Several index shares carried an XD mark on Friday, which means they now trade ex-dividend: buyers from that day do not receive the latest declared dividend. Engro Fertilizers, Pakistan State Oil and Pakistan Petroleum were among them. If you hold one of them, the dividend claim rules explain when the payment should reach you.
Cnergyico was the most traded share on 30 October
Cnergyico traded 112.0 million shares on 30 October, far more than any other KSE-100 company, and its price fell 3.12% to Rs 13.64. K-Electric traded 21.5 million shares and fell 2.85% to Rs 5.79. Thatta Cement came third with 10.6 million.

We read the KSE-100 level, high, low, previous close, other indices and market totals on the PSX data portal home page, and the 100-share table with prices, weights and index points on the KSE100 constituents page, both at about 23:20 PKT on 30 October 2026. We could not read the 28 October close separately, so Wednesday and Thursday appear as one combined change.
