Lahore Orange Line Train: Timings, Fare, T-Cash Card and All 26 Stations

The Lahore Orange Line Metro Train runs from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM between Ali Town and Dera Gujran. A trip costs Rs 25 to Rs 45 by distance. You pay with a T-Cash card, a QR code ticket or the eTransit app, and the line has 26 stations.

The Punjab Masstransit Authority (PMA) runs the line and publishes its hours, fares and station list on its own website. We read those pages on 29 September 2026 and pulled the details together below, with the full station list in order from one end to the other.

The line is 27.1 km long, according to PMA's project page. It crosses Lahore from Raiwind Road in the south-west, along Multan Road, past Chauburji, Anarkali and the Railway Station, and out along GT Road to the Ring Road.

Orange Line timings are 6 AM to 10 PM

PMA lists the Orange Line, Dera Gujran to Ali Town, as running from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The authority does not publish a train frequency for the line, unlike the Metro Bus. Plan to reach the platform well before 10 PM for the last train.

PMA's operating hours page gives the same 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM window for the Lahore Metro Bus. That is handy if your trip uses both. The Metro Bus page gives a headway, meaning the gap between buses, of 2.25 to 3 minutes. For the Orange Line, the headway box is blank.

PMA does not list separate Friday, Sunday or Ramadan hours on the page we read. So the same hours should apply every day unless PMA announces a change.

Orange Line fare is Rs 25 to Rs 45 by distance

You pay by how far you travel, not a flat fare. PMA's fare policy sets five bands, from Rs 25 for up to 4 km to Rs 45 for anything over 16 km. The full run from Ali Town to Dera Gujran therefore costs Rs 45.

PMA does not publish the distance between each pair of stations. So you cannot work out a middle trip's exact fare from the website. The gate works it out for you when you leave.

Infants ride free, PMA says. Everyone else needs a valid ticket.

Three ways to pay: T-Cash card, QR code or eTransit app

PMA accepts three kinds of ticket, which it calls fare media: the T-Cash card, a QR code, and the eTransit mobile app. Keep your card or ticket until you leave. The fare depends on distance, and PMA's fare rules refer to tapping on the validator at the exit.

• T-Cash card: a rechargeable smart card that works on the Orange Line, Metro Bus, Speedo and Electro buses. It also works as a debit card.
• QR code: PMA lists a QR code ticket as an option, but the pages we read do not say where to get one. Ask the station staff.
• eTransit app: lets you top up a wallet, apply for a T-Cash or Student T-Cash card, and use the app in Urdu or English.

If you ride most days, the card is the sensible choice. You stop queueing for a ticket, and the same card works on the Metro Bus and Speedo buses.

How to get a T-Cash card for the Orange Line

Apply online, in the eTransit app, or by calling 1762. PMA's FAQ puts the total cost at Rs 275: a Rs 130 card fee, Rs 130 delivery and Rs 15 service charge. You collect the card at the station you choose, within 10 days.

1. Open the eTransit website or app, or call the 1762 helpline.
2. Enter your details. You must be 18 or over with a valid CNIC, and NADRA verifies you.
3. Choose the Orange Line station where you want to collect the card.
4. Pay the Rs 275 total and wait for the card to reach that station.
5. Collect it within 10 days, or it may be sent back and need reprocessing.

Children cannot hold their own card. PMA's FAQ says minors may use a guardian's card. You can check your application's status on the same website, the app or 1762.

The card has an expiry date printed on it, and a lost or damaged card is replaced for Rs 275. If a card fails at the gate, PMA says to ask the station staff or call 1762.

All 26 Orange Line stations in order

The Orange Line has 26 stations, 24 elevated and 2 underground, according to PMA. Going from the south-west end, it runs along Raiwind Road and Multan Road to Chauburji, through the old city past the Railway Station, and along GT Road to Dera Gujran.

Arriving in the city by coach? Some Lahore bus terminals, such as Skyways at Thokar Niaz Baig, sit near the south-western end of the line, and Thokar Niaz Baig is station 2.

Complaints and help for Orange Line passengers

Call 1762, PMA's helpline, for card problems and general help. For a formal complaint, use PMA's online complaint system, which asks for your name, CNIC and phone number, the city, the system and the station, and gives you a way to track it.

We opened the complaint portal on 29 September 2026. It loaded, and its form offers three types: complaint, general query, and advice or suggestion. You then pick "System Complaints" for the train and stations, or "T-Cash Complaints" for card and payment problems.

The form also has a voice recording option, which helps if typing a long complaint on a phone is hard. Keep the complaint number it gives you, so you can track it later.

Parking is not PMA's job. Its FAQ says station parking is outside its scope and sends you to the city district government.

What time does the Orange Line start and close?

It runs from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, according to PMA's operating hours page. PMA does not publish a train frequency for the line.

How much is the Orange Line fare from Ali Town to Dera Gujran?

Rs 45. Any trip over 16 km falls in the top band, and the end to end run is well over that.

Can I buy an Orange Line ticket with cash?

You need a fare medium to pass the gate: a T-Cash card, a QR code ticket or the eTransit app. PMA does not list cash as a way through the turnstile.
