Nano Banana 2 is free in Pakistan inside Gemini: open gemini.google.com or the Gemini app, sign in, tap Images in the sidebar and describe the picture, with no paid plan needed. Free images download at 1K, editing your own photos needs an account aged 18 or over, and there is a daily quota. Below are the steps, every limit, and what the Rs 1,400 plan adds.

We read Google's Gemini help page on making images, its usage limits page and the Pakistan plans page on 24 October 2026. Nano Banana is Google's name for its image model in Gemini. Version 2 can take several reference photos at once, which is what makes it useful for product shots, posters and family photo edits.

Nano Banana 2, Nano Banana 2 Lite and Nano Banana Pro compared for free and paid Gemini users in Pakistan

Nano Banana 2 is included on the free Gemini plan

Google's usage limits table ticks Nano Banana 2 image generation for users with no AI plan, and the Pakistan plans page lists "image generation and editing" under the free Rs 0 plan. You only need a Google account and the age limits below.

There is one catch that Google's own pages leave open. The Gemini image help page says Nano Banana 2 runs with the Flash or Pro model, while a lighter Nano Banana 2 Lite runs with Flash-Lite. Since October, free Gemini accounts get only Flash-Lite. So on a free account, some of your images may come from the Lite version. We could not confirm which one Gemini picks each time.

The three Nano Banana models and who gets each

Nano Banana 2 is the main model and handles several reference images. Nano Banana 2 Lite is built for speed and is not meant for edits or multiple references. Nano Banana Pro is for redoing an image in more detail and needs a paid Google AI plan.

Google says the Pro redo is the one to use when an image needs readable text or an infographic. That matters for anyone making a shop poster in Urdu or English. On the free plan, expect lettering inside images to come out less clean.

A prompt that works well: "Create a bright photo of a clay cup of chai on a wooden table in a Lahore courtyard, morning light, close up." A vague prompt like "nice tea picture" gives a vague picture. Be specific.

Edit your own photo in Gemini, if you are 18 or over

To edit, open the sidebar, click Library, choose an image or upload your own, then click Chat under it and type the change. Google allows editing only for users aged 18 and over. Making new images is allowed from age 13.

Editing is where Nano Banana 2 shines. You can change a background, fix lighting or combine two photos. But think before you upload. A photo of someone else, especially a woman in your family, should not go into any AI tool without her consent. If you want to remove your chats and uploads later, you can delete Gemini chats and turn off activity saving in a few taps.

School accounts may face different limits, Google says, and users under 18 on school accounts cannot export an image to Google Docs.

When the free quota runs out

Nano Banana 2 has a daily image quota on the free plan. Google does not publish the number. When you reach it, wait for the next day or move to Google AI Plus at Rs 1,400 a month, which gives twice the usage and the Pro redo.

There is a second free route too. Google Flow makes images with Nano Banana 2 Lite at no charge, and gives 50 free credits a day for video. Students can get Google AI Plus free for one year, until 31 December 2026, through the free Gemini student offer.

Prices for every plan are on Google's Pakistan subscriptions page. Google AI Pro costs Rs 5,600 a month and Ultra from Rs 21,999. For images alone, Plus is plenty.

AI images carry a hidden Google watermark

Images made with Google's AI tools carry SynthID, an invisible watermark, which anyone can check with the free SynthID detector. So never pass off a Nano Banana image as a real photo, a real document or a real event.

Fake images of real people and fake news scenes spread fast on Pakistani WhatsApp groups. Keep Nano Banana for posters, product shots, school projects and fun edits of your own photos.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 24 October 2026. We read Google's Gemini help page on creating and editing images, the Gemini Apps usage limits page and the Pakistan Gemini subscriptions page on 24 October 2026. Models, age limits, download sizes and plan prices come from those pages. Google does not publish the size of the daily free quota, and its pages do not settle whether a free account always gets Nano Banana 2 or sometimes the Lite version. We did not test image quality ourselves.
