National Savings Monthly Profit on 1 to 75 Lakh: Behbood, Pensioner and Regular Income Table
Monthly profit on Rs 1 lakh to Rs 75 lakh in Behbood, Pensioners Benefit and Regular Income at 21 October 2026 rates, after tax for filers and non-filers.

From 21 October 2026, Rs 10 lakh in Behbood Savings Certificates or a Pensioners' Benefit Account pays Rs 10,800 a month with no tax deducted, and Rs 10 lakh in Regular Income Certificates pays Rs 10,100 a month before tax, or Rs 8,585 to a filer. The table below gives the monthly profit for every common amount from Rs 1 lakh to the Rs 75 lakh limit, for each National Savings scheme that pays monthly, after tax for filers and non-filers.
All figures come from the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) rate card dated 21 October 2026, which we read on savings.gov.pk on 24 October. The card prints the profit on each Rs 100,000. We multiplied it out for you.
Monthly profit on Rs 1 lakh to Rs 75 lakh from 21 October 2026
Behbood, Pensioners' Benefit and Shuhada accounts pay Rs 1,080 a month per lakh, so Rs 10 lakh earns Rs 10,800 and the Rs 75 lakh maximum earns Rs 81,000. Regular Income pays Rs 1,010 per lakh before tax, so Rs 10 lakh earns Rs 10,100.
| Amount invested | Behbood or Pensioners' Benefit (12.96%) | Regular Income, before tax (12.12%) | Regular Income, filer | Regular Income, non-filer |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rs 1 lakh | Rs 1,080 | Rs 1,010 | Rs 858.50 | Rs 707 |
| Rs 5 lakh | Rs 5,400 | Rs 5,050 | Rs 4,292.50 | Rs 3,535 |
| Rs 10 lakh | Rs 10,800 | Rs 10,100 | Rs 8,585 | Rs 7,070 |
| Rs 20 lakh | Rs 21,600 | Rs 20,200 | Rs 17,170 | Rs 14,140 |
| Rs 25 lakh | Rs 27,000 | Rs 25,250 | Rs 21,462.50 | Rs 17,675 |
| Rs 50 lakh | Rs 54,000 | Rs 50,500 | Rs 42,925 | Rs 35,350 |
| Rs 75 lakh | Rs 81,000 | Rs 75,750 | Rs 64,387.50 | Rs 53,025 |
Rs 75 lakh, or Rs 7,500,000, is the maximum the CDNS card allows in Behbood, the Pensioners' Benefit Account and the Shuhada account. The filer and non-filer columns take off 15% and 30% withholding tax, the rates the CDNS card and FAQ give for Regular Income.

Behbood and Pensioners' Benefit profit is paid without withholding tax
The CDNS FAQ says no withholding tax is collected on Behbood profit, and that the Pensioners' Benefit Account is exempt from withholding tax. So a widow or a retired government employee with Rs 10 lakh receives the full Rs 10,800 a month.
That tax rule is the real gap between the schemes. On Rs 10 lakh, a filer in Regular Income receives Rs 8,585 a month, Rs 2,215 less than Behbood. A non-filer receives Rs 7,070, which is Rs 3,730 less. Over a year, that non-filer gap comes to Rs 44,760.
The card does not say whether Shuhada profit is taxed, and we did not find a CDNS line on it, so the table shows Shuhada under the same rate but we make no tax claim for it. Ask at the centre when you open the account. Our Shuhada Family Welfare Account report lists the papers.
Who can put money in each monthly scheme
Behbood is for widows, senior citizens and people with disabilities. The Pensioners' Benefit Account is for retired government employees. The Shuhada account is for families of martyrs. Regular Income Certificates and the Sarwa Islamic accounts are open to ordinary savers.
| Scheme | Who can invest | Minimum | Maximum | Profit per lakh a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Behbood Savings Certificates | Widows, senior citizens, people with disabilities | Rs 5,000 | Rs 7,500,000 | Rs 1,080 |
| Pensioners' Benefit Account | Retired government employees | Rs 10,000 | Rs 7,500,000 | Rs 1,080 |
| Shuhada Family Welfare Account | Families of Shuhada | Rs 10,000 | Rs 7,500,000 | Rs 1,080 |
| Regular Income Certificates | Any Pakistani saver | See centre | See centre | Rs 1,010 before tax |
| Sarwa Islamic Term, 5 years | Any Pakistani saver | See centre | See centre | Rs 1,010 expected |
The eligibility lines and limits for the first three are printed on the 21 October card. For Regular Income and Sarwa Term the card gives the rate but no limits, so we leave those to the centre. How to buy each one is covered in buying Behbood certificates and opening a Pensioners' Benefit Account.

Work out your own monthly profit in three steps
Divide your amount by 100,000, then multiply by the scheme's figure on the CDNS card: Rs 1,080 for Behbood, Pensioners' Benefit and Shuhada, Rs 1,010 for Regular Income. For Regular Income, take 15% off if you are a filer and 30% if not.
- Divide the amount you invest by 100,000. Rs 7,50,000 becomes 7.5.
- Multiply by the monthly figure. For Behbood, 7.5 times Rs 1,080 is Rs 8,100 a month.
- For a taxed scheme, take off the tax. For Regular Income, 7.5 times Rs 1,010 is Rs 7,575, and a filer keeps 85%, which is Rs 6,438.75.
The CDNS rate sheet itself gives this method in a note at the bottom: divide the table figure by 100,000 and multiply by your investment. The Sarwa Islamic Savings Account works the same way at an expected Rs 973.15 a month per lakh, so Rs 10 lakh earns about Rs 9,731.50 before tax.

These figures change whenever CDNS changes its rates
CDNS changed the Behbood rate seven times in 2026, most recently on 21 October. The State Bank's policy meeting on 26 October 2026 could trigger another change. Recheck the rate card before you invest, and use these figures only until the next revision.
Behbood paid Rs 1,060 a month per lakh from 1 to 20 October, so Rs 10 lakh earned Rs 10,600 then. Before that, from 4 September, it paid Rs 1,050, as our October rate change report showed.
If a monthly profit does not arrive, ask your centre first. Profit can be credited to your own bank account instead of collected in cash, and having profit paid into your bank account explains the form. A warning, too: some families put money in an elderly relative's Behbood account to get the higher rate. The account is in that relative's name, which can cause ownership and inheritance problems later.
