NBP Pay to CNIC Charges: Every Slab From Rs 44 to Rs 684, Limits and JazzCash Collection
NBP Pay to CNIC costs Rs 44 to Rs 684 across 13 slabs. See every slab, the Rs 50,000 daily and monthly limits, JazzCash collection and the missing SMS fix.

NBP Pay to CNIC lets an NBP Digital user send money to anyone's CNIC, and the receiver collects it in cash at a JazzCash agent with a thumb scan. It costs Rs 44 for up to Rs 1,000 and rises in 13 slabs to Rs 684 for Rs 40,001 to Rs 50,000. Below is every slab, the daily and monthly limits, and what to do when the receiver never gets the SMS.
The service suits a parent in a village with no bank account, or a worker who needs cash today. It is not the cheapest way to move money between two bank accounts. We read NBP's Pay to CNIC page and its NBP Digital FAQ on 27 October 2026. Every charge below is NBP's.
NBP Pay to CNIC charges run in 13 slabs from Rs 44 to Rs 684
NBP charges by the amount you send. The first slab, up to Rs 1,000, costs Rs 44. The top slab, Rs 40,001 to Rs 50,000, costs Rs 684. NBP's page lists the tariff without saying whether tax is added, so check the final amount before you confirm.
| Amount sent | NBP charge |
|---|---|
| Rs 1 to Rs 1,000 | Rs 44 |
| Rs 1,001 to Rs 2,500 | Rs 88 |
| Rs 2,501 to Rs 4,000 | Rs 132 |
| Rs 4,001 to Rs 6,000 | Rs 176 |
| Rs 6,001 to Rs 8,000 | Rs 220 |
| Rs 8,001 to Rs 10,000 | Rs 264 |
| Rs 10,001 to Rs 13,000 | Rs 308 |
| Rs 13,001 to Rs 16,000 | Rs 352 |
| Rs 16,001 to Rs 20,000 | Rs 418 |
| Rs 20,001 to Rs 25,000 | Rs 484 |
| Rs 25,001 to Rs 30,000 | Rs 552 |
| Rs 30,001 to Rs 40,000 | Rs 618 |
| Rs 40,001 to Rs 50,000 | Rs 684 |

The slabs reward sending just under a boundary. Rs 10,000 costs Rs 264, while Rs 10,500 costs Rs 308. On Rs 50,000 the charge is Rs 684, about 1.4% of the amount. On Rs 1,000 it is Rs 44, which is 4.4%. Those percentages are our arithmetic from NBP's table. Small amounts are expensive this way.
You can send Rs 50,000 a day, and the receiver can collect Rs 50,000 a month
NBP sets the sender's default limit at Rs 50,000 a day, which biometric verification in the app can raise to Rs 200,000. The receiver can collect Rs 50,000 a month through this channel. There is no cap on the number of transactions.
The receiver's monthly ceiling matters more than it looks. If you send your mother Rs 30,000 twice in one month, the second transfer runs into her Rs 50,000 monthly limit. Split large support payments across months, or ask her to open a wallet or account instead.

Sending money to a CNIC from NBP Digital takes five steps
Log in to NBP Digital, open Pay to CNIC, enter the receiver's CNIC and active mobile number, type the amount, and confirm with your MPIN. NBP says the money moves instantly and the receiver gets an SMS with a transaction ID.
- Log in to NBP Digital. Your registration must be upgraded for money transfers.
- Open the Pay to CNIC option.
- Enter the receiver's valid CNIC number and active mobile number.
- Enter the amount and check the charge for that slab.
- Confirm with your 4-digit MPIN and keep the transaction ID.
If you have not unlocked transfers yet, the steps for NBP Digital registration and upgrade come first. Pay to CNIC works only in the NBP Digital mobile app, according to NBP's page.

The receiver collects cash at a JazzCash agent with a thumb scan
The receiver takes the original CNIC and the transaction ID from the SMS to any biometric JazzCash retailer. The agent checks the thumb impression with NADRA and pays out cash. NBP says JazzCash is the only collection channel at the moment.
Two things stop a collection. An expired CNIC is one: NBP says the receiver cannot withdraw with it. A failed thumb scan is the other, which is common for elderly people with worn fingerprints. If that happens, a wallet transfer to a family member with working prints may be easier than repeated agent visits. That family member can then pass it on by sending money on JazzCash without the app.
A missing SMS is fixed by the NBP call centre
If the receiver does not get the SMS, the sender calls NBP's helpline on 021-111-627-627 to get the transaction ID. Read the ID to the receiver only by phone call, never in a public group, because it is half of what is needed to collect the money.
The other half is the thumb, which protects the receiver. Even so, treat the transaction ID like a cash slip. Scammers sometimes call receivers pretending to be the agent or the bank and ask them to read out the ID.
Pay to CNIC or a bank transfer: pick by what the receiver has
If the receiver has any bank account or wallet, a normal transfer from NBP Digital is free under NBP's rules, while Pay to CNIC always charges. Pay to CNIC is for someone who has only a CNIC and a phone and needs cash.
| Receiver has | Better option | NBP charge |
|---|---|---|
| A bank account or wallet | Raast or IBFT in NBP Digital | Free, according to NBP |
| Only a CNIC and a phone | Pay to CNIC | Rs 44 to Rs 684 |
For a regular payment to someone without an account, a JazzCash wallet may cost them less over a year.
