Receive Remittance in a JazzCash Wallet in Pakistan: Limits by Account, From Rs 100,000 a Day
Receive money from abroad in a JazzCash wallet in Pakistan. See how it reaches you, the daily and yearly limits for each account type and when to upgrade.

Short answer: You can receive money sent from abroad straight into a JazzCash wallet. The sender picks Pakistan, then JazzCash, in an exchange house or partner app. JazzCash says funds usually arrive instantly. A Level 1 wallet can receive Rs 100,000 a day and Rs 300,000 a month, while an Asaan Digital Remittance Account takes Rs 1,000,000 a day and Rs 3,000,000 a month.
A family in Faisalabad does not need a bank branch to receive money from a son in Dubai. A mobile number is enough. The catch is the limit. A basic wallet that cannot take Rs 400,000 in one go will hold the money back, and the family will not know why.
We read JazzCash's own international remittance page and its limits table on 12 October 2026. Here is how the money reaches the wallet, which account type fits which amount and where the limits bite.
How a remittance reaches your JazzCash wallet
The sender goes to an exchange house or uses a partner app, selects Pakistan and chooses JazzCash as the payout option. JazzCash says the funds are credited to your wallet, typically instantly, once the sender completes the transaction.
- Make sure your JazzCash account is verified and active.
- Send the sender your registered mobile number.
- The sender selects Pakistan, then JazzCash, in the exchange house or partner app.
- They enter your wallet number and the amount.
- Check your JazzCash app or SMS for the credit.

Use the exact mobile number registered to the wallet. A wrong digit sends the money to someone else, and getting it back is slow. If it happens, the steps are in how to get back money sent to the wrong JazzCash or Easypaisa number.
Your account type decides how much you can receive
JazzCash lists five account levels with different credit limits. A Level 1 basic wallet is capped at Rs 100,000 a day and Rs 300,000 a year. The Asaan Digital Remittance Account is built for remittances and allows Rs 36,000,000 of credits and debits in a year.
| Account level | Daily credit | Monthly credit | Yearly | Max balance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 / Basic | Rs 100,000 | Rs 300,000 | Rs 300,000 | Rs 3,000,000 |
| Asaan Digital Account | Rs 3,000,000 | Rs 3,000,000 | Rs 12,000,000 | Rs 3,000,000 |
| Freelance Digital Account | Rs 1,400,000 | Rs 1,400,000 | Rs 16,800,000 | Rs 3,000,000 |
| Asaan Digital Remittance Account | Rs 1,000,000 | Rs 3,000,000 | Rs 36,000,000 | Rs 3,000,000 |
| Digital Account | Rs 1,000,000 | Rs 3,500,000 | Rs 42,000,000 | Rs 5,000,000 |
Read the yearly column with care. For the Level 1 wallet JazzCash lists Rs 300,000 as the yearly credit and debit figure. That is the same as the monthly limit, so a Level 1 wallet can in effect receive Rs 300,000 in a whole year.

Which account suits which family
A family that receives Rs 50,000 to Rs 80,000 a month can stay on a basic wallet for a few months. Anyone expecting Rs 300,000 or more over a year needs an upgrade. The remittance account suits steady monthly transfers.
JazzCash says you can upgrade inside the app with no branch visit. An Asaan Digital Account upgrade is typically instant. A Digital Account upgrade may take up to 2 working days after you submit proof of income and it is verified. The Asaan Digital Account is explained in how to open an Asaan Digital Account from your phone.
Choose by volume. If most of the money is spent within days, the daily limit matters most. If it is saved, the maximum balance matters, and Rs 3,000,000 is the ceiling on every account except the Digital Account at Rs 5,000,000.
Delays, screening and cash withdrawal
JazzCash says some transactions pass through anti-money laundering screening, which can take up to 2 days. If your credit does not arrive in real time, wait before you panic, then check with the sender and the exchange house. Cash withdrawal at a retailer carries the standard JazzCash charges.
For a transfer that has not arrived after two days, the tracing steps and the complaint route are in how to trace money sent to Pakistan that has not arrived.
JazzCash also lists up to 2 free ATM withdrawals a month with its ATM card, for the month in which a freelance payment arrives. Its page states that rule for freelance payments, so we cannot say it applies to every remittance. Keep this in mind when you plan cash needs.
Tax and the cheapest way to send
Home remittances sent through banking channels carry a tax protection at the FBR level, which we set out in remittances and FBR tax, up to Rs 5 million a year. The exchange rate and sender fee decide the real cost, and they differ between exchange houses.
The sender's side is covered in the comparison of the cheapest ways to send money to Pakistan. Check the rate there before you ask a relative to pick a provider.
