Government debt auctions raise up to Rs 1,350 billion in November
The State Bank plans three auctions this month, with targets that add up to Rs 1,350 billion by our arithmetic. Banks, funds and individuals can take part, individuals usually through a non-competitive bid at the average price.
The 4 November PIB auction offers Pakistan Investment Bonds of 2, 3, 5, 10 and 15 years. SBP's calendar splits the Rs 350 billion target as Rs 75 billion each for 2 and 3 years, Rs 100 billion for 5 years and Rs 50 billion each for 10 and 15 years. The 3, 5 and 10 year bonds pay coupons of 12.00%, 12.25% and 12.50%. The last PIB result is in the PIB auction of 7 October 2026.
The treasury bill auctions sell 1, 3, 6 and 12 month bills. On 11 November the target is Rs 100 billion for each tenor, against Rs 435 billion of bills maturing. On 25 November it is Rs 150 billion for each tenor, against Rs 776 billion maturing. Bids run from 10 am to 12 noon, and SBP announces the result the same day. The last result is in the 28 October T-bill auction.

The stock market is closed on Monday 9 November
The Pakistan Stock Exchange lists Allama Iqbal Day, Monday 9 November 2026, as a trading holiday. Trading resumes on Tuesday 10 November. The only other PSX holiday left this year is Friday 25 December, Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.
If you plan to buy or sell around that Monday, allow an extra day for settlement. The full list is in PSX holidays for 2026.
Two prize bond draws fall on Monday 16 November
The National Savings schedule for 2026 fixes 16 November for two draws: the Rs 100 bond in Faisalabad and the Rs 1,500 bond in Hyderabad. The schedule notes that a draw falling on a public holiday moves to the next working day.
Prizes and claim rules are on the pages for the Rs 100 prize bond draw and the Rs 1,500 prize bond draw. The next draws after that are the Rs 40,000 and Rs 25,000 premium bonds on 10 December.
How to use this calendar

- Trading shares: avoid relying on Monday 9 November for any deadline.
- Watching loan or savings rates: read the inflation figure in early November and the MPC minutes on 20 November.

The next rate decision is not in November. The State Bank's monetary policy committee meets on 14 December 2026, as set out in the next SBP meeting date.
