Pakistan's men's football team has played 8 matches in 2026, with 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats. They scored 14 goals and let in 15. The three wins all came in friendlies in Male in June. The latest match was a 3-2 defeat to India at the SAFF Championship in Dhaka on 5 November.
We built this list from FIFA's own match calendar for the Pakistan team, read on 7 November 2026, and the All India Football Federation's report for the India game, which FIFA had not yet scored. Below is every match with the score, the competition and the city, plus what is next.
Pakistan won 3, drew 1 and lost 4 in 2026
Pakistan have 3 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats from 8 matches in 2026. All three wins came in June friendlies in the Maldives. They have not won a competitive match this year, losing to Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and India and drawing with the Philippines.
| Date | Match | Score | Competition | City |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 31 March | Pakistan v Myanmar | 1-2, lost | Continental qualifier | Islamabad |
| 4 June | Maldives v Pakistan | 0-3, won | Friendly | Male |

Pakistan played only one home match all year
Only one of Pakistan's 8 matches in 2026 was at home: the 2-1 defeat to Myanmar at Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad on 31 March. FIFA lists it as a continental qualifier. The other seven were in the Maldives, Indonesia and Bangladesh.
That matters for fans in Pakistan. A home match is the only chance to watch the team in person, and there was one this year. The March game also counts for more than a friendly, because qualifiers decide entry to continental tournaments.
Seven away games also means a lot of travel. Pakistan's results in Male, where they played three games in seven days, were their best of the year.
Three June friendlies in Male brought all three wins
Pakistan beat the Maldives 3-0 on 4 June, then beat Afghanistan 2-0 on 7 June and 2-0 again on 10 June. All three were at the National Football Stadium in Male. Pakistan kept three clean sheets in a row, which they have not done since.
Those wins came against two teams from the same region. Pakistan now meet the Maldives again, this time in a tournament match at the SAFF Championship on 8 November. A friendly result does not carry over, but it shows Pakistan can beat them.
Friendlies also count toward the FIFA ranking, though they carry less weight than tournament games. FIFA ranked Pakistan 198th in its last official list, as our Pakistan FIFA ranking page explains.
The FIFA ASEAN Cup brought one point from three games
Pakistan lost 4-0 to Thailand, drew 2-2 with the Philippines and lost 4-2 to Vietnam at the FIFA ASEAN Cup in Indonesia between 26 September and 2 October. They scored 4 goals and let in 10 in those three games.
Pakistan were guests at that tournament, which normally brings together teams from South East Asia. The draw with the Philippines is Pakistan's only draw of the year. The full schedule and results are on our FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 page.
| Competition | Played | Won | Drawn | Lost | Goals |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Continental qualifier | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 1 for, 2 against |
| Friendlies | 3 | 3 | 0 | 0 | 7 for, 0 against |
| FIFA ASEAN Cup | 3 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 4 for, 10 against |
| SAFF Championship | 1 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 2 for, 3 against |
| Total | 8 | 3 | 1 | 4 | 14 for, 15 against |

Pakistan play the Maldives next, on 8 November in Dhaka
Pakistan's next match is against the Maldives in Group B of the SAFF Championship on Sunday 8 November 2026 in Dhaka. A win would keep their semi-final hopes alive after the 3-2 loss to India. The semi-finals are on 14 November and the final on 17 November.
The India defeat ended with two Pakistan goals in added time, from Najeeb Ullah and Alamgir Ghazi. Our report on India 3, Pakistan 2 has every goal. What each result against the Maldives means is set out in our Pakistan vs Maldives preview.
The next FIFA ranking is due on 18 November. The SAFF results will feed into it. Here is how to check any Pakistan result yourself:

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read FIFA's match calendar for the Pakistan men's team on 7 November 2026 for the first seven results, and the AIFF match report for the India game, which FIFA had not scored yet. The win, draw and loss counts and the goal totals are our own sums. We could not use the Pakistan Football Federation's website, because the old pff.org.pk address now shows an unrelated online shop.
