Pakistan Handball Calendar 2026-27: Faisalabad Trophy Now, Club League From 19 October, Nationals in Lahore
Pakistan Handball Federation's 2026-27 calendar: Asian trophy in Faisalabad 12 to 17 October, club league from 19 October, nationals in November and December.

The Pakistan Handball Federation lists an Asian trophy for youth and junior men in Faisalabad from 12 to 17 October 2026, and a National Indoor Handball Club League there from 19 to 28 October. The national women's championship follows in Lahore from 25 to 30 November, and the men's in Rawalpindi and Islamabad from 3 to 8 December.
We read the federation's 2026-27 calendar, published as a PDF on the Pakistan Sports Board website, on 14 October 2026. Below is the plan in plain order, with the dates that have already passed removed from the list.
Faisalabad hosts the next two handball events
Faisalabad is the busiest handball city on the calendar. It hosts the Asian trophy this week, a referees course straight after it, and the national indoor club league. The federation also runs its training camps there.
| Event | Date listed | Place |
|---|---|---|
| IHF Asia Zone III Men Youth and Junior Trophy | 12 to 17 October 2026 | Faisalabad |
| National Indoor Handball Club League | 19 to 28 October 2026 | Faisalabad |
| Asian Continental Handball Referees Course | 19 to 28 October 2026 | Faisalabad |
| National Women Handball Championship | 25 to 30 November 2026 | Lahore |
| National Men Handball Championship | 3 to 8 December 2026 | Rawalpindi and Islamabad |
| National Men Interdepartmental Championship | 15 to 17 April 2027 | Faisalabad |
The calendar also lists a national youth and junior training camp and a national women's camp in Faisalabad. Both run from 1 July to 12 October 2026, in connection with the Asian trophy. A National Men Beach Handball Training Camp starts there on 5 April 2027.

The national championships run from November to December
The women's national championship is in Lahore from 25 to 30 November. The men's national championship is in Rawalpindi and Islamabad from 3 to 8 December. The calendar writes the men's venue as "Rwp/ISB", and we have read that as Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The calendar does not give entry fees, team limits or closing dates for any of these. A club or department that wants to play should write to the federation early. If you do not know where a federation sits, check the full list of national sports federations.
Schools have their own handball events. The national youth and school championship was listed for 20 to 24 August in Abbottabad, and it has already passed. For school and board tournaments in general, see the FBISE sports calendar for girls and boys.

International dates for handball players
The federation lists several events abroad or still to be placed. Selection is the federation's call, and the calendar does not name any players or squads.
- IHF Asia Zone III Women Senior Trophy: September or October 2026, venue to be decided.
- Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Saudi Arabia: 13 to 21 December 2026.
- Commonwealth Handball Championship: February 2027, venue to be decided.
- Asian Beach Handball Championship: April or May 2027, venue to be decided.
The Saudi Games are covered, with the other dates after the Asian Games, in our check of the Dakar Youth Olympics and Asian Indoor Games.
The South Asian Games date on the calendar is old
The handball calendar lists the South Asian Games as 23 to 31 March 2027 in "Faisalabad/Pakistan". The Olympic Council of Asia now reports 3 to 11 April 2027 in Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar. Our guide to the South Asian Games dates and cities explains the difference.
Handball is not confirmed on the Games programme in the sources we read, and we did not find a sport by city list. So do not plan around Faisalabad as a Games venue until organisers publish one.
Federation money matters too. The Pakistan Sports Board's 2025-26 grants list shows the Pakistan Handball Federation received a special grant that is typed as "2/500,000". We read that as Rs 2.5 million, because that figure makes the list add up to its printed total. The slash looks like a typing slip.
How a player or club gets onto the calendar
- Write to the Pakistan Handball Federation and ask for the entry rules of the event you want.
- Check that your club or department is recognised by the board.
- Ask which age group applies. The calendar separates youth and junior, school, club and senior events.
- Confirm the venue and dates in writing, because several lines say "TBD" or "to be decided".
- Keep CNIC or B-form copies and age proof for every player.
