In Islamabad, the passport office open 24 hours is the Regional Passport Office at G-10/4, which also houses a Senior Citizen Branch, and the Pakistan Asaan Khidmat Center on Rohtas Road, G-9/1, offers all passport services from 8 am to 8 pm every day. In Rawalpindi, the main office is on Railway Workshop Road near Gunjmandi, with an executive office on Murree Road. The tables below list all 17 offices and counters in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal.

The twin cities have more choice than most people know. We read the passport office list of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P), its ordinary passport page and its Asaan Khidmat Center notice on 28 October 2026.

Islamabad has six passport offices, including Asaan Khidmat Center

DGI&P lists six passport offices in Islamabad: its headquarters in G-8/1, the 24 hour office in G-10/4, an executive office in Blue Area, an office for overseas Pakistanis in G-5, a National Assembly counter and the Asaan Khidmat Center in G-9/1.

The Asaan Khidmat Center is the newer option. DGI&P's notice, dated 12 February 2026 on its site, says all passport services are available there to citizens, daily from 8 am to 8 pm. That makes it a good evening choice for anyone who would rather not go to G-10 at night.

The OPF office is marked "for overseas" on the list, and the National Assembly counter sits inside Parliament House. The list does not say who else may use them. Treat them as special counters, not public walk-in offices.

DGI&P lists the Rawalpindi Regional Passport Office near Gunjmandi, an executive office on Murree Road, a High Court Bar counter, offices in Kahuta and Gujar Khan, and a NADRA counter in Taxila. The main Rawalpindi office runs morning and evening shifts.

Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal have five more offices

Outside the twin cities, DGI&P lists offices in Attock, Jhelum, Pind Dadan Khan and Chakwal, and a NADRA counter in Pindi Gheb. Attock and Pindi Gheb carry phone numbers. Jhelum, Pind Dadan Khan and Chakwal do not.

G-10 runs all night, and most other offices close at 4 pm

G-10/4 runs three shifts, seven days a week. Rawalpindi's main office runs morning and evening shifts. Asaan Khidmat Center opens 8 am to 8 pm daily. Every other office here keeps 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays, with a break from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

The three shifts are 8:00 to 16:00, 16:00 to 24:00 and 24:00 to 08:00 hours. DGI&P offices close on public holidays. A wider comparison is in our note on passport office timings.

Opening hours of passport offices in Islamabad and Rawalpindi compared

Passport Rule 6 of 2021, quoted by DGI&P, lets every citizen apply at any passport office, whatever address the CNIC shows. So a Rawalpindi resident can use G-10 at night, and someone from Chakwal working in Islamabad can apply in Islamabad. The details are in our note on applying at any passport office.

Shift times, normal hours, Rule 6, documents and e-Passport fees come from DGI&P's ordinary passport page (last modified 23 October 2026). The Asaan Khidmat Center hours come from DGI&P's notice image dated 12 February 2026 on its home page, and the fast track cities from its fast track page. We did not visit or call any office. We could not confirm who may use the OPF and National Assembly counters, or whether fast track still runs for the e-Passport.
