PESCO's load shedding schedule is a PDF called Load Management Schedule, linked from the homepage of pesco.com.pk. It lists every feeder in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's PESCO area with its daily hours of cuts, from 0 to 22, and marks each hour of the day as power on or off. Find your feeder name from your bill and read its row.

We downloaded the file and read all 29 pages on 24 October 2026. It numbers 1,162 feeders, and we could read 1,078 of those rows cleanly, spread over 96 grid stations. The spread is wide: 238 feeders have no scheduled cuts, while 195 have 20 hours or more. Below is how to read your row, the average for each big Peshawar grid, and what to do when the hours do not match.

The PESCO schedule gives each feeder a number of hours and the exact times

Each row in PESCO's file has a grid name, feeder name, an "Interruption" figure in hours, then 24 columns, one per hour from midnight. A "P" means power and an "O" means the feeder is off for that hour. Count the O marks and they match the hours figure.

For example, the Hayatabad-9 feeder on the 132 kV Hayatabad grid shows 2 hours: off from 4 to 5 am and from 10 to 11 pm. The City No-1 feeder on the 132 kV Bannu grid shows 12 hours, off every other hour starting at midnight. Feeders marked 0 show "P" in all 24 columns.

Two more feeders show 5 and 8 hours. The average across all rows we read is 9.4 hours a day. These figures are our own count from PESCO's file.

Peshawar's grids range from about 1 hour to 12 hours a day

Hours differ sharply by grid, even inside Peshawar. Feeders on the Jamrud, Hayatabad and Peshawar Fort grids average about 1 to 2 hours a day. Those on Shahi Bagh and Rahman Baba average about 12. Outside Peshawar, Bannu, DI Khan and Tank feeders average 13 to 19 hours.

PESCO's file does not say why one feeder gets more hours than its neighbour. It lists hours only. Many of the zero hour feeders are hospitals and colleges, such as DHQ Hospital Kohat, Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital, Jinnah Medical College and the University of Swat, along with dedicated industrial lines.

Finding your feeder takes five steps

You need your feeder name, which is printed on your PESCO bill. Then open the PDF from PESCO's homepage, search it for that name, and read the hours figure and the 24 hour row. The whole check takes about five minutes on a phone.

  1. Take a recent bill, or print a free one through PESCO bill check online with the 14 digit reference number.
  2. Note the feeder name on the bill.
  3. Open pesco.com.pk and tap "Load Management Schedule" in the menu. The PDF opens.
  4. Use your phone's find option to search one word of the feeder name, such as "ZARYAB" or "GUL BAHAR".
  5. Read the Interruption hours, then the O marks across the row to see the exact times.

Feeder names are in capitals and some carry two names, such as "NISHTER ABAD / CITY HOME". If the first search finds nothing, try the second name or your grid station.

Steps to find your feeder in the PESCO load shedding schedule

The file is from April, so check it against what you see

The PDF was made in Excel on 15 April 2026, and the server dates it the same day. PESCO still links it as its current Load Management Schedule. Demand changes with the season, so actual cuts on your feeder may now differ from the file.

PESCO's homepage also links a feeder-wise load shedding page on the shared PITC complaint system at ccms.pitc.com.pk. That page returned a server error when we tried it on 24 October, so the PDF was the only schedule we could read. Separate from load shedding, PESCO lists planned repair shutdowns under Planned Maintenance Work and Emergency Shutdowns on its website.

If your power goes far more often than your row shows, record the dates and times for a week. That record is what makes a complaint work. NEPRA's rules on loss based cuts are explained in checking whether your load shedding is legal, and NEPRA itself found that some companies under-reported their hours, as set out in NEPRA's monitored load shedding hours.

PESCO takes load shedding complaints by circle

Call 118 or send an SMS to 8118 first. If that does not help, PESCO's complaint cell page lists a number for each of its seven circles, and a central complaint cell in Peshawar on 0370-1341078 for calls or WhatsApp when a circle does not respond.

CirclePhoneAreas
Peshawar091-9212523Peshawar, Charsadda, Shabqadar
Khyber091-9217576Peshawar, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu
Mardan0937-9230288Mardan, Takht Bhai
Swat0946-9240367Dargai, Malakand, Buner, Timergara, Dir, Khwazakhela, Shangla
Bannu0928-9230288Bannu, Lakki, Karak
Swabi0938-221209Swabi
DI Khan0966-850056DI Khan, Tank

PESCO's page asks you to give your ticket number from 118 to the circle's representative if the issue is not resolved. So always ask 118 for a ticket number before you call the circle.

Common questions

Where is the PESCO load shedding schedule?

On pesco.com.pk, under "Load Management Schedule", as a 29 page PDF listing every feeder's daily hours and times.

How do I know my PESCO feeder name?

It is printed on your PESCO bill. Print a free copy online with your 14 digit reference number if you have lost it.

What do P and O mean in the PESCO schedule?

P means power is on for that hour and O means the feeder is off. The number of O marks equals the daily hours.

Why do some PESCO feeders have 20 hours of load shedding?

PESCO's file lists hours without giving reasons. Write to your circle or NEPRA if you think your feeder's hours are wrong.

Is the PESCO schedule up to date?

It is dated 15 April 2026 and is still the one PESCO links. Actual cuts may differ from the file as demand changes.

What is the PESCO central complaint number?

0370-1341078, for calls or WhatsApp, if 118 and your circle number do not help.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked 24 October 2026. We downloaded the Load Management Schedule PDF from PESCO's website, extracted its text and counted the rows, hours and grid averages ourselves; 84 numbered rows could not be read cleanly and are left out of our figures. The PDF's creation date and the server date are both 15 April 2026. Circle numbers and the central complaint cell come from the PESCO Complaint Cell page, and 118 and 8118 from the PESCO homepage. The PITC feeder page returned a server error. We did not check actual cuts on any feeder.
