PESCO Bill Check Online in Peshawar, With 118 and Circle Complaint Numbers

To check a PESCO bill online, open bill.pitc.com.pk/pescobill, type the 14 digit reference number from an old bill, fill the captcha and press Search. The bill is free and the printout is your duplicate. For complaints, PESCO says dial 118 or SMS 8118.

We tested the PESCO portal on 28 September 2026. The first request timed out. The next two loaded at once, titled PESCO Web Bill. So if the page hangs, wait a minute and try again before you assume it is down.

Peshawar Electric Supply Company, or PESCO, supplies power to over 3.74 million consumers in the civil districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, its own site says. That makes a PESCO bill check online a monthly job for a large share of the province. The part most people miss is below: PESCO publishes a separate complaint number for each of its seven circles.

How to check your PESCO bill online

Open bill.pitc.com.pk/pescobill, keep Reference No selected, enter the 14 digit number, complete the captcha and press Search. There is no login and no charge. PESCO's own website links to this page under Duplicate Bill, so it is the official route.

1. Open bill.pitc.com.pk/pescobill. PITC, the state company that runs billing for most power companies, hosts it.
2. Keep the Reference No option. It is already selected.
3. Type the reference number. The box asks for a "14-digit valid reference no" and stops at 14 characters.
4. Complete the captcha. The search will not run without it.
5. Press Search. The bill appears. Print it or save it as a PDF.

Lost the reference number? Pick the Customer ID option on the same form instead. The page code accepts digits only, 10 to 14 of them, and shows "Given Ref/App No is invalid" when you type anything else.

The form also shows a U and R drop-down. PESCO does not explain it on the page, so leave it as it is.

PESCO helpline 118 and SMS 8118

PESCO's website says to dial 118 or SMS 8118 for complaints, or to register online on PITC's complaint system, CCMS. If the problem is not solved, PESCO asks you to give your ticket number to the customer service centre of your circle.

Every page on pesco.com.pk carries the same line at the top: "For complaints dial 118 or sms 8118 or register online". The online link goes to ccms.pitc.com.pk/complaint.

We opened that complaint form. It finds your account by the 14 digit reference number or by a 12 digit mobile number starting with 92. It also has a Track by Ticket option. Write the ticket number down. You need it for every step after this one.

PESCO complaint numbers for each circle

PESCO's Complaint Cell page lists a landline for each of its seven circles and a central complaint cell on call and WhatsApp, 0370 1341078. Use the circle number when 118 has not fixed a fault, and give them your ticket number.

Peshawar appears under two circles in PESCO's list, Peshawar and Khyber. If one circle says your area is not theirs, try the other. We did not ring any of these numbers, so we cannot tell you their hours.

Getting a PESCO duplicate bill and paying it

The bill the portal shows is the duplicate bill. Print it, or pay online with the reference number through a bank app or mobile wallet. Pay before the due date, because a late payment surcharge is added after that date.

• Bank app or internet banking: open the electricity bill menu, pick PESCO, and enter the 14 digit reference number.
• Mobile wallet: the same reference number works in the bill payment menu.
• Bank counter: take the printed bill from the portal.

A big bill you cannot clear at once can be split. NEPRA's rules on paying an electricity bill in instalments let the first part go without surcharge if paid by the due date.

PESCO's site also links a Know Your Customer registration page at mnr.pitc.com.pk. Owners and tenants can register their CNIC and mobile number there against the reference number. We opened it and it loaded.

Reading the PESCO bill and fixing a wrong one

Check the units, the reading dates and the taxes. If the units are far higher than normal, photograph the meter with the date and complain on CCMS or 118 before the due date. If PESCO does not fix it, NEPRA is the next step.

Much of a bill is not electricity at all. Fuel price adjustments, taxes and fees each take a line, and the bill line items repeat every month, so they are worth learning once.

If the meter itself seems fast, you can ask for a faulty meter test, and NEPRA's rules set the fee and the time limit. If the company will not correct the bill, file a complaint with NEPRA. Keep your ticket number and meter photo for both.

Load shedding questions go elsewhere. PESCO links a feeder-wise load shedding page on CCMS, and your feeder name is on your bill.

Where PESCO supplies

PESCO covers the civil districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through seven circles: Peshawar, Khyber, Mardan, Swat, Bannu, Swabi and DI Khan. Its site gives the area as about 51,800 square kilometres and the consumer count as over 3.74 million.

The tribal districts are served by a different company, TESCO, with its own PITC page. If you are not sure, the company name printed at the top of your bill settles it. Other companies use the same portal with their own name, such as IESCO for Islamabad and LESCO for Lahore. Every company's link is in the electricity bill check online table.

New connections go through ENC at enc.com.pk, which PESCO links from its homepage.
