HAZECO Bill Check Online: Download Your Hazara Electricity Bill Free
Check your HAZECO electricity bill online with the 14-digit reference number, fix the not HAZECO error, and reach 118 or SMS 8118 for Hazara bill complaints.
To check a HAZECO electricity bill online, open bill.pitc.com.pk/hazecobill, enter the 14-digit reference number from your bill, pick U or R, and press Search. The bill opens and can be printed as a duplicate. Complaints go to 118, or SMS 8118.
HAZECO, the Hazara Electric Supply Company, now runs the power supply in Hazara in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its website says it took over from PESCO and began independent operations on 1 July 2025, serving eight districts of the Hazara region. So if you live in Abbottabad, Mansehra or Haripur, your bill no longer sits on PESCO's page.
We tested HAZECO's bill page on 29 September 2026. It loaded, accepted a reference number and replied with its own error for a number that is not a HAZECO account. We did not have a real HAZECO bill, so we could not open a live one.
How to check your HAZECO bill online
The HAZECO bill check runs on PITC, the Power Information Technology Company, which hosts the bill pages of the state power companies. HAZECO's own homepage links its "Download Duplicate Bill" button to the same page, so this is the official route. It is free and needs no sign up.
- Open bill.pitc.com.pk/hazecobill, or press "Download Duplicate Bill" on hazeco.com.pk.
- Keep "Reference No" selected, or switch to "Customer ID" if you have that instead.
- Type the 14-digit reference number, digits only, with no spaces.
- Pick U or R in the small box, to match the letter printed after the number on your bill.
- Press "Search". Your bill opens on screen, ready to print or save as PDF.
The same five steps work for every state power company. Only the company name at the end of the address changes, as the electricity bill check online table for all companies shows.
Two error messages and what they mean
The HAZECO page gives two messages when a search fails. "Given Ref/App No is invalid" means the number is badly typed. "The given input does not belongs to HAZECO" means the number is real but belongs to another power company, so you are on the wrong page.

We got the second message with a made-up number on 29 September 2026. It is the one most Hazara households will hit if their old paper bill still says PESCO. In that case try the PESCO bill check with the same number, then call 118 if neither page finds it.
We could not confirm whether reference numbers changed when Hazara moved to HAZECO. Your latest paper bill is the safest source for the right number and company.
Where to find your reference number
The reference number is printed near the top of every HAZECO or PESCO bill, next to the words "Reference No". It is 14 digits long, and the page's input box says so. A U or an R follows it on many bills; pick the same letter on the page.
No old bill in the house? A few other places usually hold it:
- Your bank or wallet app: if you paid a bill through it before, the saved biller usually keeps the reference.
- The landlord: tenants can ask for any past bill, since the number stays with the meter.
- The customer ID: the page also searches by customer ID, which is on the bill too.
If none of those work, call 118 with your name and address. The operator can find your account.
A printed duplicate electricity bill shows what was billed, not what was paid. For proof of payment, keep your bank record or the app confirmation.
Paying a HAZECO bill
HAZECO has announced tie-ups with National Bank of Pakistan and HBL Konnect for digital bill payments, according to news items on its own website dated June and July 2025. Before you pay in any other app, check that it lists HAZECO as a biller, not only PESCO.
HAZECO's homepage also advertises a mobile app with bill payment and complaint filing, but it is marked "Launching Soon". So for now, use your bank's app or a branch.
Pay before the due date. A late bill carries a surcharge, which shows on the bill as the amount payable after the due date. If a large bill has arrived and you cannot pay it in one go, ask your sub-division office about bill instalments.
HAZECO complaints, 118 and the head office
For a wrong bill, a fault or a supply problem, call 118 or send an SMS to 8118. HAZECO's "Register Complaint" button leads to PITC's complaint system, CCMS, where you can file online and track the complaint. The head office phone in Abbottabad is 0992-920211.
The complaint system's own page lists four ways in: the 118 call centre, SMS to 8118, a secure message after logging in, and email to ccms@pitc.com.pk. If you are not satisfied with the result, it names an escalation address, qaccms@pitc.com.pk, for its quality and assurance head.
HAZECO's contact page gives the head office as opposite Post Graduate College No. 1, Gulistan Colony, College Road, Abbottabad. Take your bill, CNIC and any payment receipts if you go in person about a billing mistake.
The website also has a load shedding page with a live feeder list, a bill calculator and a tariff page. When we checked, the tariff page cited NEPRA's 2025 notification, so compare it with the rates on your own bill.
