Dollar Rate in Pakistan Today, 3 November 2026: Rs 276.71 Interbank, Rs 278.67 Open Market (Riyal, Dirham, Pound)
The dollar was Rs 276.71 interbank and Rs 278.67 in the open market on 3 November 2026. See riyal, dirham, euro and pound rates and what $500 costs today.

The dollar rate in Pakistan on Tuesday 3 November 2026 was Rs 276.71 in the interbank market, the State Bank of Pakistan's (SBP) closing revaluation rate. In the open market, exchange companies bought dollars at Rs 277.38 and sold them at Rs 278.67.
The rupee gained less than 1 paisa against the dollar from Monday, its seventh small gain in a row. The open market selling rate went the other way and rose 13 paisa. We read the SBP's rate sheets for 2 and 3 November, its customer rate sheet, and the open market closing rates the SBP publishes for the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan (ECAP), early on 4 November. Below are the dollar, riyal, dirham, euro and pound rates, what $500 costs at a counter, and how to check a rate before you change money.
The interbank dollar rate was Rs 276.7137 on 3 November
The SBP's mark-to-market rate for the US dollar was Rs 276.7137 on 3 November 2026, down 0.82 paisa from Rs 276.7219 on 2 November. Its weighted average interbank rate was Rs 276.3975 to buy and Rs 276.8544 to sell.

Banks use the mark-to-market rate to value their books. It is also the base for the rates they quote customers. A move of under 1 paisa is close to nothing: on $1,000 it is about Rs 8. The rupee has now gained on seven working days in a row, a total of about 11 paisa since 23 October, as the October dollar rate history shows.
| Currency | SBP rate, 2 November | SBP rate, 3 November | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| US dollar | Rs 276.7219 | Rs 276.7137 | -0.82 paisa |
| Euro | Rs 310.1775 | Rs 309.7810 | -39.65 paisa |
| British pound | Rs 371.5129 | Rs 371.2391 | -27.38 paisa |
| UAE dirham | Rs 75.3466 | Rs 75.3434 | -0.32 paisa |
| Saudi riyal | Rs 73.7335 | Rs 73.7235 | -1.00 paisa |
| Kuwaiti dinar | Rs 898.0103 | Rs 898.2753 | +26.50 paisa |
| Omani rial | Rs 718.7301 | Rs 718.7089 | -2.12 paisa |
The bigger moves were against the euro and the pound. The rupee gained about 40 paisa on the euro and 27 paisa on the pound in one day. That helps anyone paying a fee in euros or pounds this week, such as a university or visa fee.
Open market dollar rate: Rs 277.38 buying, Rs 278.67 selling
The open market closing rate on 3 November 2026 was Rs 277.38 when exchange companies buy dollars from you and Rs 278.67 when they sell dollars to you. The buying rate fell 3 paisa from Monday's Rs 277.41. The selling rate rose 13 paisa from Rs 278.54.
So the gap between the two widened. The selling rate now sits Rs 1.96 above the interbank rate, up from Rs 1.82 a day earlier. That gap is the price of buying cash dollars over a counter.

| Currency | Buying, 3 November | Selling, 3 November | Selling, 2 November |
|---|---|---|---|
| US dollar | Rs 277.38 | Rs 278.67 | Rs 278.54 |
| Euro | Rs 309.97 | Rs 312.78 | Rs 312.95 |
| British pound | Rs 371.42 | Rs 374.47 | Rs 374.41 |
| UAE dirham | Rs 75.60 | Rs 76.18 | Rs 76.17 |
| Saudi riyal | Rs 73.93 | Rs 74.45 | Rs 74.46 |
Exchange companies can sell you only limited amounts of cash. The rules on how much and with what papers are set out in the open market dollar limit.
Banks quoted customers Rs 73.65 for a riyal and Rs 75.26 for a dirham
The SBP also publishes a weighted average of the rates banks quote their customers. On 3 November banks bought Saudi riyals at about Rs 73.6469 and UAE dirhams at about Rs 75.2588. That is the side that matters to a family receiving money from the Gulf.
For 1,000 riyals, that comes to about Rs 73,647 at the average bank rate. For 1,000 dirhams it is about Rs 75,259. An exchange company counter bought riyals at Rs 73.93 the same day, so cash at a counter paid slightly more than the bank average. Your own bank's rate will differ, so compare it, as shown in checking a riyal or dirham rate against SBP customer rates.
| Currency | Banks buy from you | Banks sell to you |
|---|---|---|
| US dollar | Rs 276.3975 | Rs 276.8544 |
| Saudi riyal | Rs 73.6469 | Rs 73.7645 |
| UAE dirham | Rs 75.2588 | Rs 75.3736 |
| British pound | Rs 370.6449 | Rs 371.2675 |
| Euro | Rs 309.3205 | Rs 309.8282 |
Buying $500 costs Rs 139,335 at the open market rate
At the open market selling rate of Rs 278.67, $500 costs Rs 139,335 on 3 November. That is Rs 65 more than on Monday. If you sell $500 to an exchange company at Rs 277.38, you get Rs 138,690. The difference of Rs 645 is what a round trip costs you.
| Amount | At SBP rate | You pay to buy | You get when selling |
|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | Rs 27,671 | Rs 27,867 | Rs 27,738 |
| $500 | Rs 138,357 | Rs 139,335 | Rs 138,690 |
| $1,000 | Rs 276,714 | Rs 278,670 | Rs 277,380 |
The SBP's one-year forward rate for the dollar was Rs 290.0147 on 3 November. That is not a forecast. It mostly reflects the gap between Pakistani and US interest rates, as explained in SBP forward dollar rates. The SBP raised its policy rate to 12% on 27 October, which you can read about in the SBP rate rise.
Check the rate yourself before you change money
You can read the official rates on the SBP website for free every working day. The home page shows the dollar rate. The financial market data page links the full sheet for more than 30 currencies, the bank customer rates and the ECAP open market sheet.
- Open sbp.org.pk and find "USD/PKR Rates" on the home page for the day's dollar rate.
- For other currencies, open Financial Markets, then Financial Market Data, and download the Mark to Market Revaluation sheet.
- On the same page, open Weighted Average Customer Exchange Rates to see what banks quote on average.
- Open the Open Market Closing Exchange Rates sheet for the ECAP counter rates.
- Compare the rate you are offered with these sheets before you hand over cash.

Use only an exchange company the SBP has licensed. The way to check one, and what to do if a counter offers a rate far from the sheet, is in checking a dollar rate against the SBP and ECAP sheets. The rate for Monday is in the 2 November dollar rate.
