The Punjab Land Records Authority has two full time civil engineering jobs open in Lahore: Deputy Director (Development) at Rs 215,000 to 220,000 a month and Assistant Director (Development) at Rs 135,000 to 140,000. You need a BSc in Civil Engineering with Pakistan Engineering Council membership. The last date is 20 October 2026.

We opened the Punjab Job Portal at jobs.punjab.gov.pk on the night of 7 October 2026 and read both job pages. The pages were posted on 2 October. We repeat only what they print.

Punjab Land Records Authority jobs: 2 civil engineer posts in Lahore, last date 20 October 2026

Two development posts at the Punjab Land Records Authority

The Punjab Land Records Authority, or PLRA, is the body behind land records and the e-registration of property in Punjab. Our own notes on online property registration in Punjab explain how people meet it as a user. These two jobs are on the project side, which means checking building and upgrade work, not registering land.

The portal lists the employer under Revenue. Both jobs are in Lahore, with one seat each. Unlike many Punjab portal jobs, both are listed as full time, not contract. The pages do not say whether the post is permanent, so do not read "full time" as a promise of a pension.

Qualification and PEC membership

Both posts ask for a BSc in Civil Engineering. The Deputy Director must be a Professional Engineer of the Pakistan Engineering Council with five years of relevant experience in a large private or public organisation. The Assistant Director must be a Registered Engineer of the council with three years of experience in the same kind of organisation.

These are two different PEC grades. A Registered Engineer is the first licence a graduate gets. A Professional Engineer is a higher grade that needs more years of work and a further process with the council. If you hold only the first, you can apply for the Assistant Director post and not the Deputy Director post.

Your degree should also come from a programme that the council accepts. Our notes on checking if an engineering programme is PEC accredited show how to confirm yours. The job pages do not say which degree grade is needed beyond the 16 years of education.

What the two jobs involve

The Deputy Director monitors project work in the field and collects and analyses data on physical and financial progress. The page also lists inspecting sites, checking completed work against approved bills of quantities, keeping work orders and payment records, and reporting delays to the Additional Director. A bill of quantities is the priced list of work a contractor has agreed to do.

The Assistant Director prepares draft reports, minutes and letters on development schemes, keeps a database of ongoing and finished projects, and checks contractor bills against what was delivered. The page also lists comparative statements, procurement papers and follow up on project timelines.

So the first job is closer to the site, and the second is closer to the file. Pick the one that matches your own strengths, and do not apply to both unless your PEC grade allows it.

Age, domicile and conditions

The Deputy Director age range is 25 to 40 years. The Assistant Director range is 24 to 34 years. Men and women can both apply, according to the pages.

Domicile is required for both posts. If yours is missing, applying for a domicile certificate online is the first job, because the portal asks for it among your papers.

The pages show no fee, no test date, no interview date and no mention of age relaxation. We do not guess these. They may be in the advertisement image linked from each page, which we did not open.

How to apply on the Punjab Job Portal

You apply on jobs.punjab.gov.pk, and you need a finished profile first. Your profile must show a civil engineering degree and your PEC details, or the portal can reject the application as not matching the post.

  1. Open jobs.punjab.gov.pk and log in, or register with your email.
  2. Fill in your education, experience and PEC details in your profile.
  3. Find the Punjab Land Records Authority posts and open the one you want.
  4. Check the age and experience on the page against your papers.
  5. Press Apply for this Job and submit before 20 October 2026.
