The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) will hold MCQ tests for 15 posts on Saturday 17 October 2026 (morning and evening) and Sunday 18 October 2026 (morning). They include Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector, Market Committee Secretary, Child Protection Officer and six Punjab Food Authority posts. Admission letters are not out yet. PPSC says it will upload them "in due course".

PPSC published the schedule as a public notice on its website on 7 October 2026. We read the notice on 10 October and checked every row against the case numbers. If you applied for any post below, your test is fixed for these dates, so plan travel and leave now.

Six test groups sit on Saturday 17 October, morning session

The morning session on 17 October covers six groups. Two of them are "clubbed", meaning PPSC tests more than one post in the same sitting. The notice lists the number of posts and the number of applications for each.

PAMRA is the Punjab Agricultural Marketing Regulatory Authority. The Law Officer and Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector tests are clubbed together, and so are the two Market Committee Secretary posts.

The numbers tell you the competition. Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector has about 42 applicants for every post. Data Entry Supervisor has 115 people chasing one seat.

Six Punjab Food Authority posts sit on Saturday evening

The evening session on 17 October is one clubbed test for six posts in the Punjab Food Authority, under the Price Control and Commodities Management Department.

  • Master Trainer (BS-16), case 2J2026, 3 posts
  • Assistant Public Analyst Category-I (BS-17), case 3J2026, 3 posts
  • Assistant Public Analyst Category-II (BS-16), case 4J2026, 6 posts
  • Assistant Food Safety Officer (BS-16), case 5J2026, 18 posts
  • Food Safety Officer (BS-17), case 6J2026, 1 post
  • Government Public Analyst (BS-18), case 8J2026, 1 post

That is 32 posts in one sitting. If you applied for two of these posts, you sit one combined paper, not two. PPSC published a separate syllabus notice for the Food Authority posts on 6 October, so check that notice before you revise.

Child Protection Officers sit on Sunday 18 October

The only test on Sunday morning is for Child Protection Officer (BS-17) in the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Home Department. It is case 7B2026 from Advertisement 06/2026, with 26 posts.

This is the largest single post in the round after the Motor Mobile Patrol Inspector group. Expect a full exam centre and arrive early.

Download your PPSC admission letter when it is uploaded

The notice says admission letters "will be uploaded in due course of time". You download your own letter from your PPSC account and bring a printed copy to the test.

  1. Log in to your candidate account at ppsc.gop.pk with your CNIC and password.
  2. Open the admission letter section for your applied post.
  3. Check the date, session, reporting time and centre address on the letter.
  4. Print it, and keep your original CNIC with it on test day.
  5. Recheck the PPSC website two days before the test for any change.
Steps to download the PPSC admission letter for the 17 and 18 October 2026 tests

The account, roll number slip and test day rules are the same as for every PPSC test, and are covered in how to apply for a PPSC job and get your roll number slip. If no letter appears by 15 October, contact PPSC on its UAN, 042-111-988-722, rather than waiting for the weekend.

Check for a clash with FPSC tests the same week

Many candidates apply to both commissions. The Federal Public Service Commission runs its Phase 3 recruitment tests from 12 to 19 October 2026, which overlaps this weekend. If you hold an FPSC admission certificate for 17 or 18 October, compare the times now.

Do not count on either commission moving a test because of a clash. If two tests fall in the same session, you may have to choose one. Pick the post where your chances look better, using the applications-per-post figures above.

How we verified this

What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.

Last checked at about 8:30 pm PKT on 10 October 2026. We read PPSC's public notice for the tests on 17 and 18 October 2026, uploaded on ppsc.gop.pk on 7 October 2026, and the PPSC home page listing it with the Food Authority syllabus notice. For the FPSC dates we read FPSC's public notice of 7 October 2026. Application counts are copied from the PPSC notice; the per-post ratios are our own arithmetic.
