Punjab University's examination fee for exams announced after 24 August 2026 is Rs 11,290 per exam for BA, Rs 13,040 for BSc, Rs 15,225 for BCom and BBA, Rs 15,000 for MSc, Rs 13,640 for the first LLB years and Rs 23,780 for Pharm-D. BS and BSc Hons are charged per semester.
Many private candidates and college students in Punjab sit PU exams, and the amount on the challan depends on the programme. We read the university's Schedule of Examination Fees and Dues on 21 October 2026. It says the Syndicate approved the schedule on 9 July 2026, that it applies to exam schedules announced after 24 August 2026, and that the document is dated 28 August 2026.

PU says the new amounts apply to examination schedules announced after 24 August 2026. If your exam was announced earlier, ask your college or the examination branch which schedule applies to you before you pay.

BA costs Rs 11,290 and BSc Rs 13,040 for each exam
The schedule lists Associate Degree Arts and BA at Rs 11,290 per exam. Associate Degree Science and BSc are Rs 13,040 per exam. BFA Parts I and II, BEd and BS Ed are Rs 14,280, and BFA Part III and BSc Home Economics are Rs 16,215.

BS and BSc Hons exam fees are charged by semester
For BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI and similar, semesters V to VIII are Rs 15,225. BS in IT semesters I to IV are Rs 9,800, and all other BSc Hons disciplines are Rs 9,800 per semester. The Associate Degree in Computing is Rs 15,225.
Our reading of the schedule: items 2 and 4 say "per semester" in their wording. Items 1 and 3 do not say it in the text we read, so confirm how often you pay with your department. Where a department adds its own exam fee in the semester dues, do not pay the same fee twice. Check the challan lines.
Master's, LLB and Pharm-D have their own fees
MSc Parts I and II is Rs 15,000. LLB Parts I and II, or semesters I to IV, is Rs 13,640. LLB Parts III to VI, or semesters V to VIII, is Rs 15,250. Pharm-D is Rs 23,780, the highest exam fee in the schedule.

The gap between a BA candidate and a Pharm-D candidate is Rs 12,490, which is our arithmetic from the two listed amounts.
Registration and college enrolment fees sit in the same schedule
The same schedule lists a registration fee of Rs 9,000 and a yearly enrolment fee at admission of Rs 1,200 per student in a private affiliated college and Rs 600 in a government affiliated college. A PhD registration fee is Rs 17,110.
