Qatar Work Visa From Pakistan: QVC Steps, Medical and the $137 Fee Your Employer Pays
Finish a Qatar work visa at QVC Islamabad or Karachi: book with your visa number, sign the contract, give biometrics and pass the medical. Fees and documents.

A Qatar work visa for a Pakistani is finished at the Qatar Visa Center (QVC) in Islamabad or Karachi. Your employer gets the visa number from Qatar's Ministry of Interior. You book a QVC slot, sign the work contract on screen, give fingerprints and take the medical, all in one visit. The $137 biometric visa fee is paid by your employer, not by you.
We read the QVC website for Pakistan on 9 October 2026, including its fee table, its 60 frequently asked questions and the Islamabad centre page. Everything below comes from those pages unless we say otherwise. QVC itself puts one line above everything else: it does not offer jobs, and anyone who says they are a QVC agent selling jobs is a fraud.
The Qatar work visa process from Pakistan has three stages
The employer applies in Qatar, you finish the process at QVC in Pakistan, and then Pakistan's own emigration checks follow. Skipping any stage stops the visa or stops you at the airport.
- Employer gets the visa reference number. Your employer in Qatar applies to the Ministry of Interior and sends you the visa number. QVC says it needs this number and your passport number to book.
- Book a QVC appointment. On qatarvisacenter.com choose English and Pakistan, then "Book Appointment". The appointment letter shows the centre address, any fee and the documents to bring.
- Visit QVC. Sign the digital work contract, enrol fingerprints, iris and face, then take the medical about one hour later the same day.
- Wait for the medical result. QVC says results usually come in about 72 hours, and the full medical assessment can take 10 to 15 business days.
- Clear Pakistan's side. Register with the Bureau of Emigration and get the protector stamp before you fly.

Your employer pays the $137 biometric visa fee
QVC's fee table for Pakistan lists a biometric visa fee of $137. Its FAQ says plainly that no biometric visa fee is charged to the applicant. The employer pays it to Qatar's Ministry of Interior.
| Charge at QVC Pakistan | Amount | Who pays |
|---|---|---|
| Biometric visa fee | $137 | Employer, to Qatar's Ministry of Interior |
| Lounge service (optional) | Rs 9,710 | Applicant, inside the centre, against an official receipt |
| Booking the appointment | Free | Nobody |
| Requesting the lounge | Free | Nobody |
| Extra tests at outside hospitals, if referred | Varies | Applicant, at the hospital |
So if an agent asks you for "QVC fee" money, ask what it is for. The only QVC charge an applicant pays is the optional lounge, and QVC says that is paid inside the centre. It also warns: "Do not pay any amount to anyone outside the center, who promises lounge appointment or access to lounge for a fee."
The lounge does not make the visa faster. QVC says it gives one-to-one service inside the centre and "does not affect or guarantee a faster visa or medical processing".

Bring these documents to the Qatar Visa Center
QVC asks for four things, and your appointment letter may add more. A passport with less than 195 days of validity will not work.
- Appointment letter, printed.
- Passport, valid for at least 195 days.
- Academic qualification, a copy certified by the authorities in Qatar and Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the Embassy's ratification, plus the original.
- Previous Qatar ID and medical papers, only if you lived in Qatar before.
Check the name on everything. QVC says the Ministry of Interior wants at least three names in the exact passport order: given name, family name, and father's name. A mismatch can send you back to the employer.
Leave bags at home. The Islamabad centre page bans backpacks, laptops, USB drives and sealed envelopes. Only a plastic bag of application papers is allowed.
Check the salary in the contract before you sign it
You sign the Qatar work contract digitally at QVC, before biometrics. Read the salary and benefits on screen. If they are wrong, QVC tells you to stop, ask the employer to fix the contract and book again.
That moment is your best protection. Read the contract here even if you saw a copy at the agent's office. If the salary on screen is lower than the agent promised, do not sign to save the trip. A corrected contract costs a few days. A wrong one costs two years.
Sign the way your passport is signed. QVC says the final decision on any visa belongs only to Qatar's Ministry of Interior.

The QVC medical covers blood, X-ray and a doctor's check
The medical starts about one hour after your biometric slot. It includes a chest X-ray, blood tests for HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis, malaria, sugar, liver and kidney function, haemoglobin, a vision test and a doctor's exam. Women also get a pregnancy test.
Eat and drink normally. QVC says not to fast. Bring glasses and any specialist reports, and old TB records if you were ever treated for TB. Allow about two hours.
Some applicants get a "medical referral" for extra tests such as CT scans. Extra X-rays at QVC are free. Tests at outside approved hospitals are paid by you. Qatar's health ministry decides "fit" or "unfit" and does not give the reason for unfit.
Timing matters. If you do not travel within 60 days of the medical, you must do the whole process again.
Where the Qatar Visa Centers are in Pakistan
QVC lists two centres in Pakistan: Islamabad and Karachi. The Islamabad centre is at Gerry's Building, 1-A, I and T Center, G-6. It runs Monday to Friday, biometrics from 8:30am to 4:30pm and medicals from 9am to 5pm.
The helpline is +92 51 8439384, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Complaints go to info.pak@qatarvisacenter.com. QVC also lists its own holidays, including 9 November (Iqbal Day) and 25 December.
You can reschedule a booking at least 24 hours before the slot, up to three times. A booking cannot be cancelled. Travelling from far away? QVC advises outstation applicants to plan for an overnight stay in case of a referral.
Pakistan's checks before you fly to Qatar
A Qatar visa alone does not get you through a Pakistani airport. You also need emigrant protection from the Bureau of Emigration. The protector stamp goes in your passport before departure.
If an agent is involved, check the licence first with the Bureau's list of overseas employment promoters. Pakistan caps what an overseas job agent can charge. Anything above it is unlawful. For a tourist trip rather than a job, the route is different: the Hayya e-visa for Pakistanis.
Common questions
Do I pay the Qatar work visa fee myself?
No. QVC says the $137 biometric visa fee is paid by the employer in Qatar to the Ministry of Interior. No biometric fee is charged to the applicant.
How long does the QVC medical result take?
QVC says results are typically ready within 72 hours. The full medical assessment can take 10 to 15 business days.
Can I book a QVC appointment without a visa number?
No. You need the visa reference number from your employer and your passport number to book.
How long is the Qatar medical valid?
About 60 days. If you have not travelled within 60 days of your last visa medical, QVC says you must repeat the whole process.
Does the QVC lounge make my visa faster?
No. The Rs 9,710 lounge only gives faster service inside the centre. QVC says it does not speed up the visa or the medical decision.
Does QVC give jobs in Qatar?
No. QVC says it does not provide job offers of any kind. Anyone selling QVC jobs is misrepresenting themselves.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked 9 October 2026. We read the Qatar Visa Center website for Pakistan in English in a browser: the How to Book page (work visa, multi entry) with its fee table and document list, the FAQ page, and the Islamabad centre page with address, hours, helpline and holidays. QVC's site needs a language and country choice before it shows Pakistan's details. Pakistan's emigration steps are from our earlier reading of the Bureau of Emigration's rules. Fees and rules can change; your appointment letter is the final word.
