How to Check Your Water Bill, Complain and Get a New Connection From Q-WASA in Quetta
Check your Q-WASA water bill online, complain by web form or on 081 9211609, and see the four documents Quetta needs for a new connection. No fee is published.

Quetta water users can look up a bill through the online billing portal linked from the Q-WASA website, lodge a complaint on its web form or by calling 081 9211609, and apply for a new connection with four documents: an attested CNIC copy, an attested sale deed, an E&T Department assessment copy and a site plan. Q-WASA publishes no fees on its site.
Water in Pakistan is run city by city, and Quetta's supplier is the Quetta Water and Sanitation Authority (Q-WASA). Most of the guides people share for "WASA" describe Lahore or Rawalpindi, so they send a Quetta household to the wrong portal. We opened Q-WASA's website at qwasa.gob.pk on 15 October 2026, read each page and tested the billing portal link. This is what the site gives you, and what it does not.
Q-WASA links its bill look-up to an online billing portal
Open qwasa.gob.pk, choose "Find my bill" under Citizen Services, and use your consumer details on the billing portal it opens. We reached the portal on 15 October 2026. Its menu offers Generate Bill and View Bill, under the Balochistan water and public health engineering name.
The portal's form fields did not load as plain text for us, so we cannot list them. Q-WASA's own wording says only "use your consumer details to look up your bill". Keep an old bill or your consumer number to hand, because that is the safest thing to have ready.
Reach the portal through Q-WASA's own home page and not through a link in a message. Pakistan has several lookalike bill sites, and old WASA links often lead nowhere. The working portals for other cities are listed in checking a WASA water bill online, city by city. Quetta's portal is the one described here.
| Service | Where Q-WASA says to go |
|---|---|
| Find your bill | "Find my bill" on qwasa.gob.pk, then the online billing portal |
| Complain | Complaint form on the site, or 081 9211609 |
| New connection | Connections section; confirm with the office first |
| Rules and by-laws | Document library on the Contact page |
| Office | New Zarghoon Road, Quetta |

Q-WASA takes complaints on a web form and by phone
Q-WASA's complaint form asks for your name, email address, contact number, a subject and a description of the problem. It says to include your area, street or nearest landmark. You can also call 081 9211609. Online complaints started on 31 January 2026, Q-WASA says.
A clear description helps. Write what is wrong, how long it has lasted, the street and a nearby landmark. If the problem is a blocked sewer or no supply, say which. The form has a verification step, and Q-WASA says to call the office if it does not load.
Keep a screenshot of your message and the date. Q-WASA's page does not promise a reply time or give a complaint number, so a record is your only proof. Another city handles the same kind of case differently: reporting a blocked sewer to Lahore WASA follows a Lahore process that does not apply in Quetta.
A new connection needs four documents
Q-WASA lists three connection types, domestic, commercial and construction, and a four-item checklist. You need an attested photocopy of your CNIC, an attested sale deed or proof of ownership, a copy of assessment from the E&T Department, and a site plan showing the property location.
E&T most likely means the Excise and Taxation Department, which assesses property tax, but Q-WASA does not spell it out. Q-WASA tells applicants to confirm the requirements with its team before they visit. Its page does not list a connection fee, a deposit or a time limit, so we cannot give you those. Do not trust a fee quoted by an agent.
- Collect an attested CNIC copy.
- Collect the attested sale deed or other proof of ownership.
- Get a copy of your E&T Department assessment.
- Draw or obtain a site plan showing where the property is.
- Call Q-WASA on 081 9211609 to confirm the checklist for your connection type.
- Visit the office on New Zarghoon Road with the papers, and ask for a receipt.

If your ownership papers are old or disputed, check the land record first. The steps for checking a land record in Balochistan help, and the general rules for getting a water connection in any Pakistani city explain why each city's supplier differs.
Q-WASA is chasing unpaid water bills in Quetta
Q-WASA's website reports a citywide drive to recover outstanding water dues, dated 6 April 2026, and a crackdown led by a special magistrate, dated 17 March 2026 in an Urdu notice. If your bill is overdue, pay it or ask for a corrected bill before a recovery team arrives.
We did not see the recovery notices in full, only their headlines and summaries. The site does not state penalties, due dates or late fees, so we cannot give you any figure. What we can say is that Q-WASA is actively collecting.
If you think a bill is wrong, write to Q-WASA using the complaint form and attach the bill number. Ask for a corrected bill in writing, and keep every receipt you hold. Pay only through the portal or at the office, and keep the proof of payment.
Water quality is a separate matter. If your supply looks or smells wrong, testing your drinking water through the Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources can tell you what is in it.
