Report a Blocked Sewer in Lahore: WASA 1334 and Area Numbers
Report a blocked sewer in Lahore to WASA on 1334, 24 hours. The Central Complaint Center number, sub-division numbers by area, and how to escalate a complaint.

To report a blocked sewer or overflowing gutter in Lahore, call WASA's complaint line 1334, which runs 24 hours. If nobody comes, call WASA's Central Complaint Center on (042) 99268439, or the sub-division number for your area. WASA lists those numbers town by town on its own website.
WASA, the Water and Sanitation Agency, runs Lahore's water supply, sewers and storm drains. We read its complaint pages on 2 October 2026 and copied the area numbers below from WASA's Complaint Directory. The numbers are WASA's own, not from any third party list.

Call WASA 1334 first for a blocked sewer in Lahore
WASA says its complaint centers can be reached 24 hours a day on 1334. Use it for a choked sewer line, a gutter overflowing into the street, a missing manhole cover, dirty water in the supply, or no water at all. Ask for a complaint number before you hang up.
Give the operator a clear location. Say the house number, street, block and the nearest mosque, school or market. A crew looking for "the street behind the bakery" will lose an hour.
Say what you see, too. "Sewage coming up from the manhole into three houses" gets a faster response than "the gutter is bad". If the water is entering homes, say so plainly.
Call from the phone number you want WASA to call back, so the field crew can ring you if they cannot find the spot.
Use the Central Complaint Center and area numbers when 1334 fails
If 1334 is busy or the crew does not arrive, call WASA's Central Complaint Center at its head office in Gulberg II on (042) 99268439. WASA also lists a mobile number for each sub-division, grouped by town, on its Complaint Directory page.
| Area | WASA sub-division number |
|---|---|
| Samanabad (Allama Iqbal Town) | 0334-1334416 |
| Mustafa Town (Allama Iqbal Town) | 0334-1334461 |
| Anarkali (Ganj Bakhsh Town) | 0334-1334427 |
| Garden Town (Nishtar Town) | 0334-1334473 |
| Green Town (Nishtar Town) | 0334-1334433 |
| Shahdara (Ravi Town) | 0334-1334447 |
| Data Nagar (Ravi Town) | 0334-1334419 |
| Baghbanpura (Shalimar Town) | 0334-1334408 |
| Mughalpura (Shalimar Town) | 0334-1334409 |
| Tajpura (Aziz Bhatti and Wagha Town) | 0334-1334434 |
| Jubilee Town | 0334-1334465 |
| Mozang (Gulberg Town) | 0334-1334448 |
That is a selection. WASA's directory has more than 30 sub-divisions, including separate drainage sub-divisions for storm water. Find yours on the WASA Lahore Complaint Directory and save the number in your phone before the monsoon.

Report a sewer problem in five steps
Call 1334, give the exact spot and the problem, and take the complaint number. If nothing happens, call your sub-division with that number. Then go to the Central Complaint Center, and after that to the Chief Minister's complaint system.
- Call 1334 and describe the blockage and the exact address.
- Note the complaint number, the date and the time.
- Take two or three photos of the overflow from a safe distance.
- If no crew arrives the same day, call your sub-division number from WASA's directory and quote the complaint number.
- Still stuck after that, call (042) 99268439, then escalate to the Chief Minister's complaint system linked on WASA's homepage.
Neighbours calling one by one helps less than one clear complaint with a number. Agree who will call, and share the complaint number in the street's WhatsApp group so everyone quotes the same case.
Never pay cash to anyone for WASA work
WASA warns that its staff are not authorised to take cash from consumers, and that it will not answer for any cash paid to a WASA employee. Clearing a public sewer is WASA's job. Nobody needs to be paid on the spot to open a main line.
The same warning covers meter changes. WASA says people have taken cash by claiming they need to change a meter. A real WASA pipe fitter carries the application form you signed at the WASA office.
A blocked pipe inside your own house is different. That is your plumber's job, at your cost. WASA's crew deals with the line in the street and the manholes, not the drain under your kitchen sink.

Garbage, rain water and other cities go elsewhere
Garbage is not WASA's job. Missed rubbish collection in Lahore is reported through the Suthra Punjab complaint line 1139. Rain water standing on a road is WASA's, through its drainage sub-divisions.
In heavy rain, keep away from flooded manholes and loose electric wires. The basic steps for staying safe in urban flooding apply to every low street in Lahore.
Karachi has a separate utility, and an open manhole in Karachi goes to KWSC on the same short code. WASA Lahore also handles new water and sewer connections through an online form, which is a separate process from complaints.
WASA's homepage also links a Punjab WASA online complaint management system. It asks for a login, and its sign up screen talks only about water connections, so we could not confirm that the public can lodge a sewer complaint there. The phone lines are the route WASA publishes.

How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
Last checked on 2 October 2026. We read WASA Lahore's Complaint Centers page for 1334, the 24 hour service and (042) 99268439, its Complaint Directory for the sub-division numbers, and its Precautionary Measures page for the cash and meter warnings. We opened the Punjab WASA online complaint system but could not test it without an account. We did not call 1334 or time a repair.
