How to Get a Duplicate or Corrected Domicile Certificate in Punjab: Rs 200, 16 Days
Replace a lost Punjab domicile or correct a mistake on it at an e-Khidmat Markaz. See the Rs 200 32-A challan, Rs 50 affidavit, FIR or V form and 16 day wait.

Short answer: To replace a lost Punjab domicile certificate, or to correct a mistake on it, you apply at an e-Khidmat Markaz and pay Rs 200 by a 32-A challan at the National Bank of Pakistan. Add a Rs 50 affidavit and the AC verification form. A duplicate also needs an FIR. A correction needs the V form. Both take up to 16 days.
A domicile certificate has a way of going missing exactly when a job form or admission form needs it. Or you notice that your father's name is spelled wrong, after the certificate has already been used twice. In both cases the answer is not a new application. Punjab has separate services for a duplicate and for a modification.
We read the e-Khidmat service pages for the new domicile, the duplicate domicile and the modification of domicile on 12 October 2026. We did not file an application. The fees and documents below are the ones those pages list.
A duplicate needs an FIR and a modification needs the V form
The two services share almost the same paper list. The one difference is the last item. A duplicate certificate needs an FIR for the lost one. A modification needs a V form, which is the correction form, so that the office knows exactly what to change.
| Item | Duplicate domicile | Modification of domicile |
|---|---|---|
| Fee | Rs 200 by 32-A challan | Rs 200 by 32-A challan |
| Affidavit | Rs 50 | Rs 50 |
| Special paper | FIR | V form (correction form) |
| Photograph | Fresh passport size | Fresh passport size |
| Delivery | 16 days at most | 16 days at most |

Both services use the same core document list
You bring the AC verification form, Form P, a CNIC (yours, or a parent's or spouse's), the Rs 50 affidavit, a fresh photograph, proof of residence and the Rs 200 bank challan. Then add the FIR for a duplicate, or the V form for a correction.
Proof of residence can be property documents, a utility bill, a resident certificate, an education document or a voter list entry. One of these is enough on the page. Pick the one that shows your current address and your name most clearly.
- Decide which service you need: duplicate (lost) or modification (wrong detail).
- Get the FIR if the certificate is lost, or the V form if you are correcting it.
- Pay Rs 200 by a 32-A challan at the National Bank of Pakistan and keep the stamped copy.
- Make the Rs 50 affidavit and attach your proof of residence and photograph.
- Submit the file at the e-Khidmat Markaz and collect the certificate within 16 days.

Pay the Rs 200 by challan, not at the counter
The duplicate and modification pages say the Rs 200 service fee is paid by a 32-A challan deposited at the National Bank of Pakistan. A new domicile is different. Its page says payment must be made online only, with a Rs 200 fee, and Rs 300 in Faisalabad.
So do not assume one payment method fits all three. A student who applied for a first domicile online may expect to pay online again, and then find that the duplicate asks for a bank challan. Check which service you are in before you pay.

Lost certificates need an FIR first
The duplicate page lists an FIR among its documents. That means the loss must be registered with the police before you apply. If the police are slow to register it, our guide on what to do in Punjab when police refuse or delay your FIR explains the routes open to you.
For other lost papers, the Police Khidmat Markaz services in Punjab include a free loss report. That is a different document from an FIR, and the domicile page asks for an FIR, so confirm at the counter which one they will accept. We have not tested this.
The affidavit is a stamp paper document sworn before an oath commissioner. Our note on getting an affidavit attested in Punjab shows where to get it done.
A first domicile is a different service with its own page
If you have never had a domicile, you need the new certificate service, not a duplicate. Its page lists a Rs 200 fee paid online, a 16 working day delivery and issue by your assistant commissioner. Our guide on applying for a domicile certificate in Pakistan compares all four provinces.
You can also ask for some services through the Dastak app. Our guide on using the Dastak app in Punjab lists what it delivers to your door. We did not check whether it covers a duplicate domicile today, so ask before you pay a doorstep charge.
Common questions
How much is a duplicate domicile certificate in Punjab?
It is Rs 200, paid by a 32-A challan at the National Bank of Pakistan. You also pay for a Rs 50 affidavit.
How long does a duplicate domicile take?
The page says 16 days at most. A new domicile page says 16 working days, so allow for weekends.
Do I need an FIR for a corrected domicile?
No. A correction needs the V form instead. The FIR is listed only for the duplicate, which replaces a lost certificate.
Can I fix a spelling mistake without a new application?
You apply for a modification of the certificate. It is its own service, with its own Rs 200 challan and a V form.
Which office issues the certificate?
The new domicile page says it is issued by your relevant assistant commissioner. The duplicate and modification pages do not name an issuing office, so ask the centre.
Is Faisalabad different?
For a new domicile only. The page says Faisalabad charges Rs 300 and has dropped the stamp paper affidavit since 1 October 2019.
How we verified this
What we checked, where we read it, and what we could not confirm.
We read the new domicile, duplicate domicile and modification of domicile service pages on the Punjab e-Khidmat Markaz website, ekhidmat.punjab.gov.pk, on 12 October 2026. We did not apply, and we did not confirm whether the 32-A challan can now be paid online. Confirm fees at the centre before you go.
