We read Samba Bank's full English schedule for July to December 2026 on samba.com.pk on 31 October 2026. These are the fees an ordinary customer meets: transfers, ATMs, debit cards, SMS alerts, the minimum balance charge, cheques and statements, with the ways to avoid each.
Samba IBFT is free up to Rs 25,000 a month
Transfers to other banks through Samba Online, ATMs and the mobile app are free until you send Rs 25,000 in a month. Above that, each transfer costs 0.1% of the amount or Rs 200, whichever is lower, government levies included. Raast transfers are free.
| Transfer | Samba charge, July to December 2026 |
|---|---|
| IBFT, monthly total up to Rs 25,000 | Free |
| IBFT above Rs 25,000 in the month | 0.1% or Rs 200, whichever is lower |
| Raast transfer and beneficiary registration | Free |
| FBR and customs tax payments, any channel | Free |
| Cash withdrawal at a Samba branch in another city, up to Rs 250,000 | Rs 250 |
| Same day clearing of a cheque | Rs 550 |
A Rs 100,000 transfer after the free limit costs Rs 100, on our arithmetic. Branch cash withdrawals from another city are free within the same city and between Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Most banks follow the same Rs 25,000 rule, as compared in IBFT charges across banks.

Samba debit cards cost Rs 2,100 to Rs 4,000 a year
The PayPak Classic card costs Rs 2,100 a year, the Blue Debit Mastercard Rs 3,000 and the Gold Debit Mastercard Rs 4,000. A replacement costs the same as a year's fee, but is free if the card had to be reissued because of fraud or the bank's own error.
| Card or ATM use | Samba charge |
|---|---|
| PayPak Classic, a year | Rs 2,100 |
| Blue Debit Mastercard, a year | Rs 3,000 |
| Gold Debit Mastercard, a year | Rs 4,000 |
| Cash at a Samba ATM | Free |
| Cash at another bank's ATM | Rs 35 |
| Balance inquiry at another bank's ATM | Rs 4.67, plus Rs 4.67 for a receipt |
| Cash at an ATM abroad | Rs 400 or 4%, whichever is higher |
| Shopping abroad or on foreign websites | 4% of the amount |
PayPak is the cheapest card and is enough for use inside Pakistan. If you pay for subscriptions or shop on foreign websites, you need a Mastercard, and the 4% fee applies to each purchase. Samba also caps yearly foreign spending at USD 25,000 on Blue cards and USD 30,000 on Gold cards, counted across all your banks. The national card limit is explained in the USD 30,000 yearly card limit.

Samba SMS alerts cost Rs 200 a month
SMS alerts cost Rs 200 a month per account. Alerts for digital transactions such as ATM, card and internet banking are free. Individual branch customers with a total relationship balance of Rs 1 million or more pay nothing for SMS alerts.
That is Rs 2,400 a year on our arithmetic, so it is worth checking. Email statements and email remittance alerts are free at any frequency. Bank SMS fees in general are covered under bank SMS charges.
A Samba current account needs Rs 25,000 or it pays Rs 50 a month
Rupee current accounts must keep a monthly average of Rs 25,000, or pay Rs 50 a month including tax. Rupee savings accounts, Asaan, Basic Banking, Payroll, Ladies Banking, Freelancer, Teenager and remittance accounts have no minimum balance.
Students, Zakat recipients, government salary and pension accounts, dormant accounts and Basic Banking and Asaan accounts are exempt from the minimum balance charge. The bank also says it may close an account that keeps missing the required balance, and one that sits at zero for six months in a row.
- Check last month's statement for a Rs 50 minimum balance charge or a Rs 200 SMS charge.
- If your current account rarely holds Rs 25,000, ask to move to a savings or Asaan account, which have no minimum.
- Switch to email statements and app alerts, which are free.
- Ask the branch to stop SMS alerts if you do not need them.
- Confirm the charges stop on the next statement.
