Sri Lanka and England meet twice in the Pakistan ODI tri-series: on Thursday 22 October in Rawalpindi and Thursday 29 October in Lahore. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) lists both matches at 1:00 pm Pakistan time. Neither side is the host, so these are the two matches in which Pakistan are not on the field.

Sri Lanka v England is on Thursday 22 and 29 October
The ECB lists the first match at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday 22 October and the second at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Thursday 29 October. Both have a local start time of 13:00. That is 1:00 pm in Pakistan.
Both dates are weekdays. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) set the same dates in its August fixture list, and the full tri-series calendar shows where they sit between Pakistan's own games.
The two matches shape the table before the final
Each team plays the other two twice, and the top two sides after six league matches meet in the final on 31 October. England and Sri Lanka play each other at both ends of the series, so the first game sets the tone and the second can decide second place.

The PCB has not published the points rules for the series on the pages we could read. We do not state how many points a win earns, or how a tie is broken, until it does.
What Sri Lanka bring to Pakistan
Sri Lanka arrived in Pakistan on 4 October for the T20 series and stay for the ODIs, then the two Tests in November. Their Test captain is Kusal Mendis. The ODI squad was named in early October and is set out in the three tri-series squads.
Sri Lanka have played in Rawalpindi this month, so they know the ground. England will not have played there before their first match on 20 October, which gives Sri Lanka a small edge on 22 October. The ground conditions on the day will matter more than that.
What England bring to Pakistan
The ECB match page lists 16 England players. Names include Joe Root, Harry Brook, Ben Duckett, Sam Curran and Adil Rashid. Their next ODIs after the tri-series are three games against Australia from 13 November.
England meet Pakistan first, on 20 October, then Sri Lanka two days later. That gives them back to back games in Rawalpindi. They return to Lahore for the matches on 25 and 29 October.
How to follow the matches when Pakistan are not playing
These are the neutral dates of the series, so you can pick one to attend without worrying about Pakistan fans filling the ground. We have not read any ticket information for these two matches.

- Check the PCB for ticket sales and entry rules for the ground you plan to visit.
- If you are in Lahore on 29 October, read the Gaddafi Stadium match day rules for entry, parking and ID.
Weekday matches in Pakistan often mean smaller crowds, so ground staff may open fewer stands. We do not know the plan for these two dates. If you want a seat, buy early through the PCB's named seller and keep your CNIC with you, because entry checks have used it before.
If you cannot attend, a one o'clock start still lets you follow the first innings during a lunch break. The second innings runs into the evening, when most people are home and the result is often still open.
What is not published yet
The ECB pages do not name a broadcaster, say whether the games are day-night, or give a ticket price. We also could not read the PCB match pages because they showed a bot check. We leave those items out.
